In 5 years you will lost all the price of the phone and you cant resell it. Not matter when you want to change your device that you will loose 250 or 300 $ per year in depreciation. Changubg every year is a pain in the ass but every 2 or 3 years just before you have to change the battery I think is the sweet spot.
If there's one thing we know, it's that Apple doesn't cut corners when releasing a new flagship device. The iPhone X introduced OLED, wireless charging, and Face ID, so I don't buy the "lower specs to cut costs" rumor. In my opinion, they're likely to include an M chip with unified memory, which would mean fewer GB of “RAM” but better performance and superior battery life.
@pugorilla8848 but the more cores and more RAM also use more battery.. so battery size without the other parts are meanibgless to compare.. i mean even the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 4300mAh battery beated the 5000mAh battery Android phones with 4-5 hours... (because LTPO is more efficient, and not wasting the battery to refresh the screen 120 times in every sec, when no changes on the screen.. after that what Android throwed away their crap 120Hz and used the LTPO 120Hz too, it's become less, but that is why i said the parts inside the phone determinate the battery life, not just the battery size alone..)
Good hypothesis. But this pisses me off if its true because as we all know the ultra watch is the ultra because it’s extremely durable. A folding phone is the exact opposite of that. Id rather have a phone as tough as the ultra
Flip/Fold sounds great but it will always have the screen durable problems. And I don’t think Apple will want to handle that. Like the Surface Pro, it’s been a hybrid laptop for years and Apple still won’t go for hybrid thingy. They always stick to simple stuff. Hopefully one day, someone will come up with a foldable screen that can withstand my fingernails.
As i know those are the main reasons why Apple also not fkrced the foldables, so lets hope they show us something again (like Android thinked they have the best display on the world, until Apple showed them, this is the LTPO 120Hz, and you can gain 4-5 hours of extra battery life with it, compared to the fixed 120Hz..)

they wont give you a thinner phone with worst battery life bruh. They can fit more battery life in the iPhone 16 but they don't cuz it costs more for them and their OS allows them to have longer lasting batteries than android phones. They have enough room to add more battery and they will probably also add hardware that's smaller then in their current phones while keeping the same or better performance and quality. Also why the price is expected to cost more. But the flip idk man it doesn't make sense.
@@imluctor5997 Folding phones are useless. Nobody needs a 1:1 square tablet when unfolded. Videos end up the same size as a regular phone, just with giant black bars top and bottom. The flip phone makes sense because you can have a large phone screen when open, but a small size when closed.
They need a flip phone like Razr 50 Plus, with the larger outer display. If Apple release a flip phone with a small external display, no one will buy it as that tech is now outdated.
I want an iPhone fold not an iPhone flip. I want an Apple version of the zfold 6 from Samsung. I want a slim phone that opens into a iPad mini. But sadly Apple will never do that
The renders of the iPhone Slim with Top Center Camera placement will not work as its camera module plus FaceID module just behind it will NOT allow it to be thin / slim. Also, if we make iPhone “slimmer” it will make the camera bump even more pronounced. While the idea is nice. I doubt it will happen. I personally would rather have bigger battery than a slimmer phone. I think a vast majority of people aren’t complaining about the iPhone’s thickness. In fact there were a couple of times that Apple themselves spun making the iPhone thicker to be a good thing.
sorry but I don’t agree. hehe. ultra for apple means the highest specification and not a new form factor. the ultra watch do not have something inferior to other models except the bulk and size. so i don’t think apple could trade off the third camera, the screen size for it to call ultra. and this is also a very risky position given that fold is still not that popular in the market. probably it it can be called ultra if it is super thin and the the size of the screen in the rumor is not true but bigger. because they did it in the iPad Pro M4 this year where they put all the best specs in screen, processor and design (thinness). yun lang :) but I am still a fan of your channel. just felt like commenting out in here ;)
Yeah I got the same thoughts. Not even Samsung is using the name Ultra for the foldable Galox phone. They use Ultra for the highest speced normal Galox S. I believe in the name "iPhone Fold" so people will not be confused. Apple doesn't even need the name Ultra for iPhone. IPhone is the strong brand. And "Pro" is a pretty new addition. Apple got Ultra for this: Apple Watch Ultra M1 Ultra M2 Ultra (No M3 Ultra) Most likely a future M4 Ultra Ultra for Apple Watch is not about Fold. It's about better specs. Same with the M chip. But who knows what Apple will call "iPhone Fold": Fold or Ultra? Would be a mistake to call it Ultra if it's foldable. I don't see why the Slim has to be smaller than the Pro Max, since every Android clamshell apart from the Z Flip series has a 6.9" internal screen. And I hope the outer screen is something like 3.4" or more.

If we get a folding IPhone just take my money, i always liked the Samsung folding phones but i didnt care to pay to price to switch over to android when im already in the apple ecosystem. I also like iPhone OS way better than Samsung and App Store is better also with better support. Plus the IOS updates to keep my phone working smoothly even if i dont want to upgrade to a new phone. 14 pro here, mine´s at 86%. I'm upgrading this year since the 14 pro value is still high in my country. The two year upgrade cycle is perfect if you take really good care of your phone

It all makes sense! However, having a telephoto lens makes taking pictures of things far away, really good. It will be interesting to see what happens with the foldable iPhone.
But you dont. You dont have to unfold it.. All foldable phones can make calls, answers calls when folded. You save battery that way too. And with both Samsung and Motorola, you can also use apps on the smaller display.

Should I trade in to 16 Pro Max or wait for the 17 Pro/Slim but for lower trade in value? My 14 Pro isn't good and I want to upgrade it since it has bugs and stuutering and poor battery life with 88% battery health
14 pro here, mine´s at 86%. I'm upgrading this year since the 14 pro value is still high in my country. The two year upgrade cycle is perfect if you take really good care of your phone

@@ethanjrdz Yeah but some people say that it’s the worst combination between pro performance with compact screen so it gives poor battery quality. Would you still choose the 6.3 regular 16 pro in my situation? (I have large hands and had the 12pm and 14p)
@@satxrnhimself Indeed, the compact phone always have worse battery life than the pro max one. However I'm the opposite, since I have really small hands, I always go for the smaller pro. If you have big hands, use to have a pro max version and you were comfortable with that, go for it!

It all makes sense! However, having a telephoto lens makes taking pictures of things far away, really good. It will be interesting to see what happens with the foldable iPhone.

But you dont. You dont have to unfold it.. All foldable phones can make calls, answers calls when folded. You save battery that way too.
And with both Samsung and Motorola, you can also use apps on the smaller display.

It’s hard to believe Apple would ever release a flip phone unless they actually do have dust resistance and better scratch protection and still great water proofing. I’ve seen many renderings on different videos that the camera orientation for the regular and Pro 17 models are supposed to be horizontal like the Google Pixel which I really hope they don’t go for that design.
