The only reason I watched this film only once and not a million times, is because of the betrayal at the end. Simply the best movie of portraying different disciplines, weapon mastery and Chinese philosophy. Crouching Tiger was also spectacular but this included a wider range. We are lucky to have witnessed such a phenomenal martial artist like Jet Li, even if it was on a screen and not live.
I’m very fortunate as I was one of the foreigners extra in some parts of this movie, at first we filmed in a classical Shanghai villa then i was in that balcony while Jet Li was fighting the japanese guy at the end. I live in Shanghai since the year 2000 and got that opportunity . Jet Li was just showing up out of his trealer like 15 min time by time but always very precise and professional on his acting/actions. The main problem of the director was to avoid anyone letting their phones turned on because the rings, it was few hundreds extra to manage though.
Still one of my favourite Jet Li films.
I especially like the honour & philosophy in martial arts that this film explores.
The mutual admiration & honour that Tanaka & Huo Yuan Jia show each other in their battle is cool to me.
Yes, "Fearless" is definitely a classic Jet Li film that showcases not only his incredible martial arts skills, but also the honor and philosophy behind the art. The respect and admiration between Tanaka and Huo Yuan Jia is a powerful aspect of the film that adds depth to the story. It's one of those movies that I can rewatch multiple times and still be inspired by the themes it presents.

I guess a lot of people would love to see Bruce Lee vs Jet Li. What makes me smile during all the martial arts movies is that the hero is always silent, even during the fights, while the bad guys (the opponents) always scream.
