You are a genius! Your ability to choose interesting examples and explain concepts so clearly (and in a fun way) really is amazing. I admire your work and I think you should consider a career in math education (if you aren't doing so already).

Thank you so much! I had trouble identifying the Permutations from the Combination problems and this video perfectly explained the difference! You are amazing

Thank you for clearing this up. It sounds so simple when you explain it, but my professor is very confusing. Keep up the good work!

Extremely excellent video as usual, Kolu Math!
Thank you for always making comprehensible videos.
Just one question - where/how do you record audios? They're so clear!

    *The last problem about baseball*
it looks like you determined only an 8 man lineup? or does the ninth batting spot not matter?

Last I heard, baseball teams have 9 players, not 8. Otherwise great video on Permutations vs Combinations

Good video, but I'm confused at the problem at 11:15, the film festival problem. I'm seeing it as a PERMUTATION because of the word "line-up" which to me indicates that they are listed in order of how they will be shown. If I'm wrong, please explain.

I'm a little confused, maybe you could help. Isn't it possible to have duplicated any of the combination choices as shown in this video? Also, when calculating something like license plate possibilities, would that be a combination or permutation? I feel as though it would be combination. I'm going to watch this video again to see if I can plug the numbers to achieve an answer. I'll be calculating with number and letter options based on 7 digit spaces. How would I add in factors for blanks, symbols, or placard plates?

Using NCR I got an answer of 8,347,680.... if I did my math correctly. Using the combination lock math in the NPR video I got an answer of 78,364,164,096. 36 digits over 7 possible spaces. I enjoy math very much and am trying to learn more and relearn what I've forgotten over the last decade. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you for your time.

+Diana Ferrer pretty sure it's a number multiplied by every number below it down to one.
      ex. 8 x 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 8! = 8 factorial

The solution to Yevette throwing a B'day party is wrong! The answer will be 24040 different entourages not 2002.
Solve for yourself using the basic principal of counting. There are 5 seats in the Limo that needs to be filled by 14 girls. The 1st can be filled by any of 14 girls, following which the second seat can be filled by any of the remaining 13 girls, and so on. Ultimately, yielding, 14x13x12x11x10= 24040 different entourages.
It will be 14P5 not 14C5
