They tried - there was a USA 1year run where Jan Michael Vincent was replaced by a cheaper actor who played Saint John Hawk, String's long lost brother for a 4th season. You can find the series sold as a DVD set. The 4th season sucked, BTW.
Actually they could do a sibling, Hawk could have a kid like Michel Long (Knight) and the sibling could find the coordinates of the LAIR where the lady was kept, so s/he fly's out in a Santini Air chopper as he promised to keep the business alive for Dom before he died, to see what is there. So when the sibling flies out and finds the lady they learn about her secret and what secrets HAWK and his Brother were keeping. I do not think there was ever a episode that they gave back the lady or that it ever was kept anywhere but in the Lair.
I just wish someone who is great at this computer stuff to make where the Avengers or Justice League called upon Blue Thunder,Airwolf,Maverick from Top Gun, and Doug Masters from Iron Eagle to help defend the Earth from Alien invasion. I would love to see a great story to see these 4 great warriors unite.
i grew up on AirWolf............. practically had a male moment the first time the MEDIVAC chopper landed on the schools playing field . .. yeah, same chopper ................

With wat a new helicopter there isn't a more beautiful helicopter around up until today, there isn't another actor that blend in with the lady like Hawk.

My father would watch Airwolf with me on weekends as well I miss them days as well too.
