Handuriel gets pretty strong too. He was the MVP of my first campaign. That extra damage when marking enemies is nice.
Ya, my friend played handuriel and he is legit!! Haha
Unless I’m playing it wrong, Striker Sun just bouncing around with the multiple attacks is my current fave. She’s also normally diving forward and getting all the chests!
I also thought Sskar didn’t look great on paper but I took him for the variety. I was wrong and now agree with you, he is amazing!
Ya the multiple attacks for the striker and then her multiple attacks are great for an intense turn!!

We just got our copy and I'm very happy to have found your videos! They have been super helpful already, and I'll use the rules video for sure when we are ready to play our first game.
I really liked this one with the character presentations because it saves me the time and the mental load of choosing when we're set up to play. I'll just go in with the character I want in mind and not worry about it, just sit down and go.

If you decide to do similar video for apocalypse characters I recommend you use deluxe boards so that you will be able to talk and point to some skills that players will unlock later.

LMAO Drasek was the first guy i painted too. also used speed paints! haha

Playing the monk as Controller makes her very versatile, like a DnD monk. Knock down+abundant steps, and stun locking puts enemies out of the equation, while you focus others down.
I feel like adding beef to a monk is the crude way of making up for squishyness, in most games that feature the monk type. A monk is not supposed to soak hits like a tank. A monk is supposed to be about not getting hit in the first place.
Just my opinion though :)
Oh I like that idea with the controller! Those abundant steps seem even more beneficial there!! I like it!!
Are team is Lord Wrath, Katerina, and Barrak. If there one thing I’ve learned from playing this game is any combo of characters is so fun to play. There is more synergy in this game than I think any other game I’ve played.
Agreed!! I have never had a game with 26 characters and still I like every single one of them! Then add in the dungeon roles that can switch more synergy’s around!!
Vorn has been a monster for me. Make him a defender and his health goes even higher with another reaction, he can tank anything in this game and he hits hard and often.
Nice!! Ya Vorn can hit hard and can do some cleave! He can leave some nasty scars for sure!! :)

Yes that is correct. This does not include anything from the apocalypse, but once it ships and I get it, then I will for sure make another video with those characters!

I soloed the campaign with Drasch and Katarina. They are very strong. It was a breeze.
Ya Katarina is great, so many attacks!! And drasek is legit!
Maya is instane as a beast master! Extra activation on pets!

I thirst for this game for years, I just waaant it. It's just so dang expensive, and I don't want more minis to paint. I wish there was a standee version. Both of my problems solved
Hahaha ya my friend and I were just talking about the mini problem, where I have had a hard time get through the base game let alone all the apocalypse stuff coming! Haha
how many characters you recommend for playing solo? i try playing it with 2, but some commanders abilities where just broken, i remember playing a stage where i draw one that regenerate hp for every rune or something like that and ended up regenerating 24 hp per turn, and he could exceed his max HP, so with 2 player it was imposible to do anything against him, i just gave up and stoped playing because i found it just too imbalanced
So I play it with 2 players right now (just me and my friend), just letting you know that that one commander card is definitely the worst and not all of them are like that. we pulled that one once and switched it out! haha
I think 3 is the best, that gives you more interaction and synergies between players and not too much to handle solo. 4 characters gives you more synergies, but it takes a lot more to handle both heroes and more enemies on the board, but if you are ok with handling mroe than 4 is good!
What do you think about Lordwrath? I'll play COD next weekend for the very first time and I'm thinking about picking him as my warrior/tank character
He is a fun one if you like playing the balance between being really strong but almost dead! Managing curse cube to do more but having to make sure you don’t get that 6th cube. I think it is a fun added puzzle to him!

Chronicles of drunagor or massive darkness or middara? or two out of the three? Please I need help
@@outofit08 So what do you value most a campaign, narrative, or one shot? Drunagor if you want a good long campaign with fun mechanics and choices. Middara if you want intense narrative and character creation. Massive darkness if you want one shot but still have the dungeon crawler aspect but does have expansions if you want a campaign.
@@BoardGameOfficer I really just value gameplay. Ideally I want a great dungeon crawler like massive darkness but deeper. I actually own massive darkness 2 and middara haven’t played middara yet but could maybe use its one shot mode to replace massive darkness. I also own Zombicide and Cthulhu death may die so kinda wanna either get rid of massive darkness 2 and or get chronicles of drunagor or just remove it from the collection. lol im kinda obsessed with trimming my collection at the moment.
@@outofit08 ya both Drunagor and Middara are going to give you that deeper feel of a dungeon crawler. Middara is going to give you better one shot scenario, but technically you can do that with Drunagor as well. Drunagor is my top dungeon crawler, it is going to be a little on the easier side than Middara.
Ya massive darkness and zombicide are close enough you might not need both. I like the fantasy theme more so I like MD2 more than zombicide.
I haven’t played CDMD yet but it looks really good!

@@outofit08 ya I have, the main problem with it is, you play the same scenarios as the campaign, so if you do the campaign later, some stuff is spoiled. As the game play though, it’s completely fine.
Where is Sun from?
She is in the Spoils of Wars box. Which was the stretch goals box from the first kickstarter
I hate Katarina because she is unbalanced. You speak of multiple attacks or quadruple damage as if they were cool. They're not once you start doing those things because they trivialize the challenge of the game. I've had so many bad experiences with class imbalance on the first campaign that going forward I'll only play with Apocalipse KS characters, as they are likely to be more well-balanced.
Ya I say it is cool because honestly I am a player that likes to be OP. But usually play 1-2 player.
I can see how the imbalance can be more frustrating when playing with more people!
I am excited to try out the new characters for sure though!
