I noticed that they did the same burning of the cross over the forehead in fright night with evil Ed. They must have gotten that from salems lot since this came out first.
That cross burning choreography goes back to Hammer’s 1958, “Horror of Dracula.” Van Helsing does it to Lucy Westenra. It’s a classic scene that can be seen here on UA-cam.
Curious to how the upcoming movie will pull off this scene with Marjorie? I don’t have a lot of hope for the movie because of the runtime. Salem’s Lot is too long form of a book to be a 2 hour film. It could work as a big screen movie, but it needs to be the same runtime as the recent Dune movies and split into 2 or 3 movies. I do like the 1st 4 actors they picked for the upcoming remake, Makenzie Leigh, Spencer Treat Clark, and Bill Camp were perfect choices for their characters. Lewis Pullman ain’t bad either
David soul really sold the fear in that scene. The new one was odd. They were just acting like nothing was wrong. Even though a dead woman rose from.the dead Wtf. 😂
In the movie Salem's lot (1979) both Marjorie Glick and Susan have very bad breath due to the fact that they are vampires (look at their teeth and fangs, they are putrid). I don't know if this also happens in the 2004 version, what do you think about this?
Doubtful. I don't understand why, in the 1979 version, their teeth are like that. They've been died for a very short time. The vampires in the 2004 version look so much better.
@@hoibsh21Vampires don't brush their teeth! And look at minute 1:31, imagine being really close to Marjorie's mouth, I don't think her breath smells precisely like Listerine... I bet it smells really disgusting.
I wish they would just quit having Remakes and stop making Prequels nor Reacting or no Reboots! it should all be just Original Versions only such as Night Of The Living Dead 1968 Dawn Of The Dead 1978 Day Of The Dead 1985 Evil Dead 1987 Child's Play 1 1988 Hellraiser 1987 Friday The 13th 1 1980 Halloween 1 1978 Leprechaun 1 1993 A Nightmare On Elm Street 1 1984 Candyman 1 1992 Poltergeist 1 1982 Jeepers Creepers 1 2001 It Miniseries 1990 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1 1974 Predator 1 1987 Alien 1 1979 Scream 1 1996 Scream 2 1997 Scream 3 2000 & you know

Got both in my library.

1979 Salem's Lot vampires were not at all beautiful.
And that was the whole point.
Susan was kind of hot.

Including their own Eyes
I think them vampires should brush their teeth and gargle with Listerine.

Dark Shadows 1961 is enough
Can you try The Night Gallery Death On A Barge
Any idea when they releasing the new remake?
Last update I've seen it will finally be released this year but will be going straight to the Max ap instead of going to theaters.

I'm still upset that Ben had to kill the Susan from the 2004 TV Movie.
He killed her in the 1979 version too.

In the original book she was killed by Ben. It was an homage (sorta) to the death scene of Lucy Westenra on the original Dracula book.
