Lara Lara Lara. Just her name is music.
Piano on fire as well as her burning vocals. She never gave up on her struggles as a young artist who dragged herself around the world seeking recognition.
I certainly hope with all the UA-cam fans these days; our lovely Lara finds herself well loved as she pivots her career and allows herself all the accolades.
Thank you again for putting this on your channel. Peace and love 😇

Hello my dear Ben, so good to see you. I still remember when you jumped in over the 'should' statement - I've never forgotten that. I just loved your strength and standing in your truth which is a mirror of myself. That's a HUGE deal in my book and will never be forgotten ❤ - you protected me so it moved me for sure. Anyhow I hope things are ok your end. We are in very strange times but we have to keep moving forward as nothing stops for anyone or anything - life just keeps rolling on. Please keep safe, healthy but above all happy. Until I see you again, take care. Psyche 🙋🏽‍♀️ 🤗 🌹 x

I really hope that you are doing fine 😊.

Some awesome lyrics! And the video, like you, said beautiful indeed. And remember that Lara was given a piano eight years old by her father. I wonder if she could be using that as a metaphor. Of course, I know that each person has their interpretation personally. Thanks again for a great reaction!👏🏼👏🏼❤

OH MY GOD! YOU are killing me here. You have an excellent poker face. If you have kids, they couldn't get away with anything, I would guess. And, as soon as they would leave your room to go and clean their rooms without further argument because they knew you were serious, you would then bury your face in a pillow and laugh because you will never get over how cute and sweet they looked when they thought they were in trouble. I am seeing you for the first time, and that is what came out of my head just from your reqactions to this video.
I couldn't tell what you thought for the longest time. Until, at some point you closed your eyes and turned your head slightly to your left, but quickly returned to watching the video. Poker face!
when the key change and instrumental kicked in, I thought I was going to see tears and that you were feeling emotional about the song, but you pushed it all back down.
For me... the first time I heard this song, I was disturbed with the thought of Lara singing the lyrics "and let it KILL you" until I found a place in my heart where the lyrics fit. I also found it unsettling that they lit a piano on fire. I still find that shocking. Who said in a meeting about making this video, "I know! Let's get a baby grand piano, helicopter it in, and then light it on fire!"?
I was a little bothered, at first, when I read that the producer had Lara sit right up to the microphone and sing directly into it and the sound engineer would make that work. It gives the verses a raw feeling, almost an unfinished feel to it. And, it would sound really raw and unfinished if someone with lesser talent tried to sing and record that way. Lara said it took a little getting used to it when she was asked to do it that way.
The only thing I would have changed, had I been the producer, would be to have her sing the word "you" the same way she sings the word "you" everywhere else in the song, but, when it is held out and makes the key change with the music, she instead sings the word as "Yah". "And let it kill YAAAAH [key change]" and still holding out the word "you" with the more open tone of "yah". I would have sang it as YOU up to the keychange and gradually open the "O" to an "Ah".
Singers these days do this a lot... they will sing something like, "But do you still love MAE" and "You broke my heart, but please won't you still love MAE". Whenever I hear a singer pronounce the word "YOU" as "MAE" I always ask, "Who is Mae? And why do all the current pop stars keep singing about her? To me, it just sounds like their talent nees some refining and maturing to do, which isn't the case with Lara. So, I got over it.
The song "I Love You" by Donna Summer is a great example of how I want to hear the word "YOU" in a song.... especially when she holds that note out... "She said, I love you tooooooooooooooo". Also, whens he sings "Heaven Knows" and holds out words like "Pleeeeeeeease" and "There's no need to leeeeeeeave". She sings the correct vowel, and doesn't change the vowell because another vowell would be easier to hold out...
    Just my thoughts.
I will watch more of your videos and assessments because I find you interesting. And, if you read this and feel like it, please let me know how far off or how spot on I was with my vision of you and how you are with adorable children. lol I know, it's odd, but that's why I think it is funny.
XO - have a great day, week, month, etc...

This is good and made me giggle! I've been in the media over 3 decades and have worked with and know MANY top celebrities, so I don't need to react like some of the other channels do - though each to their own. I don't have children, but they adore and gravitate towards me which is well known. 🌹 - Check out my community Page. @@psycheinc-theSLC Thank you so much for your reply. I'm glad you were amused. The first time I sang in front of an audience was in church at the age of three. My brother put me up to something so, the ending of the song goes, "Lift up your voice, lift up your voice, lift up your voice and sing. [and I added, per my brother's direction] "Ring-a-ding-ding". Everyone laughed. I have terrible stage fright and it was difficult for my actor friend to get me on stage, but once in a while I did. My grandmother asked me to sing at her funeral, and I told her I wouldn't be able to sing on the day she dies. So, she asked if I could record the song, and so I did. It is called "In the Garden of Tomorrow" - a song that someone sang at my Grandfather's funeral in 1940 when he was only 30 years old.
Again, thank you for your reply, and I will absolutely go to your page and see more, because I instantly liked you. When I was younger, my hair was more auburn or "root beer" as I liked to call it, and I think that is why little children and babies would smile at me and stare. I have had strangers tiny kids reach for me to pick them up out of the shopping cart at stores before while Mom is pushing them along. It's always precious and would give me joy all day. Now, they look at me and ask, "Mommy, who is that old man?" And, I quickly reply before their Mom has a chance, saying: "I'M NOT OLD, I'M ONLY 59, and I AM SCOTTISH, SO I AM NOT AGING AS WELL AS PEOPLE WITH BEAUTIFUL SHADES OF TAN AND BROWN SKIN." Okay, that didn't happen. lol

Hello! I have mostly listening to her early work that is a little more my style. The genre of this song is so often played so it could have just passed by without notice.
But hell no!! When she enter that chorus and use her power and piercing voice I just remember that this is Lara Fabian and not a well produced average wannabe. This is a woman that knows how to deliver emotions in a way that is so unique, so sublime. Wow! Thanks a lot for sharing this! ❤

Great reaction (again) - And thank you for taking the time out from your busy life to make these videos...but then you do seem to enjoy it as much as we all do...so it's a win-win situation I guess!
Yay - Lara Fabian Day! (Can't believe I missed this upload). Lara slots into my top 3 female vocalists, alongside Floor and Beth Hart. While she has a truly great voice, what really stands out for me, is her ability to tell a story. I've never seen any other artist do that so well or with as much emotion as Lara. It is quite incredible. And as a self-proclaimed "metal-head", I thought I would never hear any music of Lara's style/genre that I would enjoy. But how wrong was I!!! I just keep returning to Lara for more! She always 'moves' me. And I really love that....(Although I am not too keen on this particular song/video, I know that if I saw her singing this 'live', it would be fantastic...because she would probably do something quite magical to it....)
Bottom line: Good music is good music.....the style and genre is irrelevant....
Thanks again for the upload. And take care :)
Edit: Just noticed that you've never done a Beth Hart reaction. She is a fantastic singer/songwriter and performer. I really enjoy her 'live' performances so much, as she seems to take the studio recording up onto a higher level. And her story-telling and phrasing is awesome too. Which is pretty cool! If you are like me, then you probably have a list as long as your arm, of artists and bands to check out. But I thought I should quickly mention her anyhow, just in case you have a slot available at the bottom of your list lol... 🎶🎵😎
