Pastor Chris 1 John 1 :through 9/ John is dealing with a false doctrine that was in that community during that time about false teacher's that didn't believe in the incarnation of jesus and didn't believe that there was sin in them. John is telling them in order for you to have fellowship with use and the father and son you have to confess your sins. and he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. And to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This is not for the believers it's for unbelievers. We need to teach this with the finish work of the cross. Believers don't have to continue to ask or confess sin"s that already was blotted out once and for all thank God for that.
