We haven't heard about spraying anything into the Spark Plug hole, You may be talking about spraying something like carb cleaner to take out debris. But we personally don't spray anything, we just replace the spark plugs and thats it
@@SimicBros what about marine grease or dielectric grease? Nothing like that either? I Just bought a new fx svho so I’m making sure I’m covering everything I need for maintenance supplies
When winterizing, some will spray fogging oil into the cylinders to prevent condensation/rust over the winter. I just sprayed fogging oil into the throttle body on mine until it stalled. First year with mine. Can't wait for spring!
The Yamaha WaveRunner GP1800R, 2023 model has a bridging plastic support (cross brace on the middle) (when the seats are removed), which is passed over the engine cover. I removed the engine cover and three of the spark plugs, but the one which is under the bridge and socket wrench, with any adaptors I tried, I cannot unscrew the spark plug, and I'm in severe trouble cause my socket and extension in stuck inside and I can neither unscrew the spark plug nor remove the extension and socket! I thought of removing the seat supports around with all its screws, but...uh!!! WELCOME TO THE WORLD!!! PLEASE HELP, PLEASE PLEASE
I’ve added this video in my go-to follow-alongs as a first time 2024 fx cruiser svho owner. Thanks!
Thanks guys 🙏🏼.
Is there a torque setting for the plugs?
We typically hand tighten them. There is a torque spec for them - 25Nm / 18 ft-lb
Eh bud great vid!

Do I have to use marine grease at all?
Is the spark plug opening a “tube” so that any fumbles stay in the tube or are you screwed…
I’ve heard of spraying the inside holes with some kind of spray- what’s this about?

@@brockb4452hi I’m curious do you have to use marine grease
@@adamharry4071no marine grease. Just a very small film of dialectic grease around the non-metal plastic part of each spark plug with a q-tip
