be honest, our heart literally jumped when he dropped that camera
Yes, yes my heart did
No it didn’t
No cap a cheap wrist strap of mine had snapped while I did the same.
Yes😂
@@paritoshnayak1587 is your camera okay?
Recently got into photography/videography and got the Peak Design Travel Tripod, the Everyday Backpack V2, Capture Clip, and I am in love with all of it. This just gives me more of their products to buy😅
Oh Jesse the tripod
I love their stuff! 10/10 recommend!
I love the look of pain when you dropped the camera even with the strap.
the amount of trust this guy had
I have always used my camera strapless, i have never dropped a camera while holding it strapless.
I have however dropped a camera off a strap that came loose down the side of mt etna in sicily.
Luckily i was able to retrieve the camera and it was mostly undamaged apart from some chipped plastic and a cracked lens hood on my 24-105 f4 L. (No damage to the front element because the lens hood protected it)
Since then i havent used straps, i just have a messenger bag i put the camera in when i need both hands or i set the camera down.
Same with me, but once you start doing shoots professionally you’ll understand how useful a strap is.
The wrist one was the first thing I bought for my x-pro2. Flawless.
I love peak design and their anchor products. I have them on literally everything. My camera (of course), my keys, my phone even! I also have a few on my everyday backpack to store away the wrist strap on the outside so I still have easy access. (Yes, I know it can wrap around and stick to itself with a magnet, but it complicates things for me with putting on/off clothes or a jacket)
My phone stuff arrives today or tomorrow so I'm hyped for that, almost went with quadlock but PD took my interest.
it took a lot of courage to drop the camera and i admire you for it 😂
I think his voice caught when he did so
That camera drop shows how much you trust this product
Those little clips are rated 200 pounds each
Yesss Peak Design is a game changer
I've seen these before. they seems to be expensive at start but in longer perspective it saves you a lot of money
never thought I'd be interested about a video on straps
I've got these, the PD straps are excellent.
I love the peek design strap
Literally every photography UA-camr has them, we know what they are.
I didnt
I love my peak designs strap.
I've been daily driving these this past year and I swear it's a really good investment
Man I love Peak Design products
This is the first thing i buy for my camera. I don't feel safe without it 🤣
Literally the only acceptable camera sling
Just got mine , best investment you can make for photo and gimbal use
It's the best accesory in existing
His eyes ❤
All’s of mine too bro these are amazing 😂
I always use the camera strap that comes with the camera. Once they are on, it’s for life. Never have had a failure. The Canon straps are nice and wide, very comfortable.
That’s kind the antithesis to the entire point of these anchors. Lots of folks, myself included, need and or want to be able to remove or attach a camera strap quickly. Like yeah… if you don’t remove your straps why tf would you buy these lmao.
I very specifically do not want a strap semi-permanently affixed to my camera
@@peen2804 I’m a sport/travel photographer for my use I never need to remove my camera straps. Also never have dropped my camera.
@@peen2804I find it hilarious when someone says they dropped their camera. Of course they weren’t using a camera strap.
Been using those for years, they work great!
Nice to see that there's someone in photography that still doesn't know Peak Design after 10 years.
There’s always someone new coming into this hobby.
The last one is amazing it reminds me of the WiiMote controller
I swear by peak design
MY FAVORITE TOO!!!
Got the OG Peak Design Anchor Design when they were on Kickstarter.
I literally JUST bought one yesterday. I love mine!
I love this things. I saw an ad on insta about them and bought it instantly to use it on my gimbal or literaly everything 😁. It makes the live much easier, when you want to lay down the gimbal ❤
I prefer cross body straps, they are significantly more comfortable
I looooove the strap that Peak makes, but I much prefer the connection of the Belay from PolarPro. The strap isn't as good, but the quick disconnect (like the peak clip) works so well.
What a coincidence, I just bought a peak design hand strap last weekend which comes with the peak design anchor. It pairs well with the tripod quick release plate so my camera goes from hand to tripod easily.
Peak design straps have those adjusters and they are the best
I bought a dozen of those little things from AliExress for less than $5 and they work perfectly with the Peak Design straps. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
awesome!! been seeing them alot.. just didnt dig in deep to find out what they were, def getting them
I got mine that secure it from below my camera, it's from Black Rapid and they sleeve to your shoulder instead of hanging your camera with your neck, which in longer periods of use will strain your neck.
I've just upgraded to Peak design mounts, but had to custom mod it for my bandolier strap, going well so far, much easier than the old clip I had
Peak design is a company that has made nothing good but hipsters love
Simple 10cent small plastic quick release buckles will do the same though. They work the same way as well. Put them on all accessories, and voila. On a budget they're a must have. Or if you're simply not bothered with branded stuff.
small plastic 10 cent quick release buckles also aren’t rated for 200+ lbs lol. By all means you do you though. Can’t say I’d trust them with my several grand camera lmao
Also the whole “but u can get a fing dat cost less1!1!1!1!1!” Is such a stupid point to make. Yeah no shit. I just don’t want to use shitty cheap buckles lol. Like do you think people only make purchasing decisions based solely on optimal price:performance? And if so, are you 12? Like sure lots of things will do the same.
I mean just like bend some paper clips and tie them to a shoestring that’ll work just as well right? Also, how do you know what does and doesn’t work well for different folks? I’d love to know. Especially considering that I use PD anchors specifically to get away from the shitty cheap buckles on the included strap.
Seems I don’t actually know what works for me though, if only I’d consulted you first.
They have good designs. I would to get their capture clip. I personally use small carabiners to quickly attach my straps to my camera.
I guess that's one way... I just use Black Rapids. Easy on, easy off, and insanely secure. I can also sling to the side or anything else I'd like.
My ringtone is that track and I was puzzled for a good minute there
Clip and loop. Used them for years and non proprietary
when he intentionally dropped thr camera. I skipped a beat and cant breathed for a second
My dad and I used shoulder straps that went from one shoulder down to the other side. It had buckles instead of these due to the weight of the camera. It also allowed for quick shots whenever the moment needed it.
You should make a video of trying film photography
love that!
I use shoulder strap with a carabine, much easyer on the neck and overall less stress on long shoots
I use a side sling that attaches to the bottom which is much handier to remove when ever I use a tripod
Ohhhh sweet
Bro always be staying strapped.
looks like the same idea as my spring pin strap locks for my guitars
I have an anchor on my keys as well
this is why I call him the Chikili man
don't know the camera term for the little hand strap but for fire arms it's a choke strap or garotte strap because you're choking or garotting the gun/camera
So you reinvented the guitar button
OH MY WORD I’ve always wondered what that wasssss
i got those they are so good . you can also get an adapter so you can attach your camera to a bag or anything else
Yo those help so much I just started photography and my father gave a few
PeakDesign 💪
i love these, may look into getting them
For my camera to stay safe I use the strap and double wind it around my wrist. That same technique also give me extra stability when I need to take shots with one hand for what ever reason
i really need a set of those and those two hand straps
Great! Thanks for that idea.
And then uses the super uncomfortable canon neck strap vs the awesome peak design strap to let everyone know he’s a canon shooter 😆
NGL, all I see in your profile pic is "Yeelight "
I buy them from Aliexpress. Cheap and great.
wow that's awesome!
I have them as well, they're good.
I used my PD strap for like… a day and then switched to the cuff ever since! It just lives on my wrist for location shoots and I never looked back!
even though der was a strap that drop test made my heart drop 🤣
That triangle ring is hanging on for its life 😢
I had that too
His face when he let go of the camera.. lol
That’s cool I am a photographer yeah I do take photos but not online
bro got the wii safety strap on his camera
Have you tried the "Conda Strap" before? It attaches to the 1/4-20 mount on your camera and stiffens into a versatile mounting bracket and stand. Was wondering your opinion.
I literally had a Nikon strap fail on me a day after I bought a camera from Costco back in the late 2000's. Literally switched to a Canon for the rest of DSLR dominance.
Marques Whitelee
Love Peak Design
The anchors are great; I use the wrist strap, it freaks people out when I let the body dangle 😅
Buying this right NOW!!!
$SOLD$
I use this to, i have them on my strap, a seperate thread for my tripod, its fkn great !
Question! There is a magnet in the wrist strap, why is there a magnet ?? I haven't figured it out yet
ILY Anthony
I use that
Now try it on a super-telephoto lens
this are the most unimportant unboxing/tutorial/cinematography channel that came across my feed. I guess keep it up?
Sweet! Useful 🎉
So you made quick disconnects with extra steps?
Wow! 😳 that is actually genius :) the things you learn on UA-cam
Isnt that mechanism old as hell?
I remember using it for my phone back in 2000s
Why would you need to remove your strap in order to use a tripod? I have never taken my strap off, and it has never been in the way. I guess personal experiences may very, but I think it is useful to have a strap and I’ve never needed or wanted to take it off, but I normally just have it on for safety.
same
I remove it regularly when shooting northern lights. Turning the camera continuously and using the turnable screen, the strap gets in the way all the time!
It's probably more useful if you're using a gimbal. Otherwise, I have the strap on most times.
I have one of each of PD straps, and I usually put the wider one on the heavier camera body and lens combination, the slimmer one otherwise. And then I can fit a wrist strap if I carry my camera in a small bag or take pictures in a crowd.
🤦 when you use a tripod the biggest reason to remove the strap is shake. A dangling strap especially in wind can produce blur in any long exposure.
I need a link to all these please!
Just go to peak design. They have awesome camera straps of all kinds.
Y’all’s mfs not aware of google? Why do people beg for links to products in comment sections? Like you can just find it yourself in a fraction of a fraction of the time it takes waiting on someone to reply
Like i'm changing my Camera straps all the time .
I have one of those. I never dropped it like he did. And my camera is tiny m50
I mount my camera on the tripod WITH THE STRAP ON! Nothing bad ever happened.
I mean.. yeah, obviously. no one thinks or said anything bad will happen lol. Some folks, myself included, just don’t want a dangling strap when using a tripod for myriad reasons.
