  • New Zealand’s National Film Unit presents 'RNZAF In the Pacific - part 1' (1943)
Since the war began, the Royal New Zealand Air Force has sent thousands of men overseas - to fight in the skies over Europe, over Britain, and Africa. This film tells briefly the story of our aircraft and men in the Pacific. Men of the Royal New Zealand Air Force push up into the palmy isles of the Pacific early in World War II. With bayonets they hack out clearings in the tropic jungle, build their stations, and fly on bombing missions against the Japanese. In leisure hours they make gardens around their camps and get acquainted with the friendly people of the South Sea Islands.
