Iran got the ability to make an atomic bomb in a few months
Israel and the United States are forbidden to sleep Iran has come very close to making an atomic bomb. Iran's continued success in the nuclear program has become a constant headache for Israel and the United States. This is the program that US President Obama signed the nuclear deal with Iran in 2015 to stop. Under this deal, Iran was bound not to develop nuclear weapons. Iran agreed to this so that the 13,500 US sanctions imposed on it could end. But Israel did not like this deal and after Obama put pressure on US President Donald Trump to terminate this deal in 2018. In this video, we will examine what Iran's nuclear program is and how close Iran has come to building an atomic bomb. We will also see what arrangements Iran has made to protect its plants from US and Israeli attacks. Iran's nuclear program began in the 1950s. See the irony that this program that America is suffering the most today was also started by him. US President Eisenhower launched a new policy on nuclear energy called 'Atoms for Peace'. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was also established in 1957 to oversee the Atomic for Peace program.
Under the Atoms for Peace program, in 1957, the United States offered support to Iran in its nuclear program. The Nuclear Research Center was established in Tehran in 1966. These centers were operated by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran
In 1968, Iran signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty or NPT. This meant that Iran's nuclear program had now come under the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This agency could now check the Iranian nuclear program at any time to see if Iran is not developing nuclear weapons
In addition to the Tehran Research Center, a nuclear research center from Iraq was also transferred to Tehran. This was because Iraq was part of the US's Santo Agreement against the Soviet Union, also known as the Baghdad Pact. Iraq withdrew from the Baghdad Pact, which led to the transfer of the nuclear program under the CENTO to Tehran.
During the reign of King Reza Shah Pahlavi, Iran's nuclear program continued to develop rapidly. Shah approved many nuclear projects. Under these plans, twenty-three nuclear power plants were to be established in Iran by the year 2000. In 1974, Shah announced that we will generate 23,000 MW of electricity from nuclear reactors
After 1975, Sweden, France and Germany also started supporting Iran's nuclear program. In 1976, American President Gerald Ford also made an agreement to cooperate with Iran in producing plutonium. Thus, Iran's nuclear program was progressing with the help of the United States and European countries, but Iran was not making nuclear weapons. He only wanted to generate electricity from nuclear energy. But the Islamic revolution in 1989 changed this situation
In 1989, Ayatollah Khomeini overthrew the Shah of Iran and took over the government. The work on Iran's Bushehr nuclear plant was also stopped. Although at that time one reactor was 50% complete and the other 85%.
In 1988, Iran put pressure on France to hand over some of the stalled enriched uranium that was supposed to be given to Iran under the agreements. After that, Iran also received help from Argentina, after which Iran began to enrich uranium to low levels within its own country.
Since the year 2000, Iran has started working on its nuclear program very rapidly. Currently, two of Iran's most important nuclear plants are operating. One of them is the Natanz nuclear plant, which is located near the city of Isfahan. The second is the nuclear plant of Fardo which is built near city Qom. But these plants are always under threat from American and Israeli attacks. But you will be surprised to hear the security arrangements that Iran has made for it
The Natanz plant is Iran's most important nuclear plant. Anti-aircraft guns and modern Russian S3 Hundred missile defense systems have also been installed to protect the Natanz plant
Iranians have also begun digging for another underground nuclear plant in the Zarghun mountain range
Donald Trump's withdrawal from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018 has proved dangerous for both the United States and Israel. Although Iran was faithfully following the agreement. But Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu could not understand this. So far, Iran has enriched uranium to 60% in Natanz and Fardo plants, while it has to enrich uranium to 90% to make nuclear weapons.
