Hellooo Fizz Family❄️☃️🌨 I hope Darren and Mia a very snowy and happy birthday🎂🎉🎊🥳 It's also very lovely to see you guys uploading every day, especially when I come back from school, I always have you guys' video to look forward to!! :))
Darren is a selfless dad.. always making Mia gets to enjoy her birthday even though it means he will get less attention on his own.. but I also love how the family makes sure they, especially Georgie, both feels special on their birthday.
I don’t know why I got teary watching this Darren is a wholesome dad so supportive and proud of his family. He’s taught me to cherish small things like he does. He’s a wonderful man a true gentlemen
Skiing tips: The inner section of the salopettes (skiing trousers) actually goes over the top of your boots to stop snow getting in if you fall! Try not to tense your legs, stay as relaxed as possible - it seems like the opposite of what feels right, but trust me, it makes it much less tiring Always lean forward and bend your knees, but keep your back up straight and tall to keep your balance Never worry about complaining about your boots, it's crucial that they feel comfortable, so always go back and ask to try another pair because it's so worth it - don't sacrifice a day of skiing! The boots should feel tight, and do them up as tight as you can bear, but they shouldn't hurt or give you bruises. Good luck, I loved the video. ❤
Sounded like Georgie’s ski boots were too small, if her toes were slightly bent consistently then that will have been the cause of her leg cramp, deffo get the size up in boots!
That's how bratayley felt for me! They barely edited and felt so genuine and real, while also respecting their kids privacy. That's why I enjoy this channel, it doesn't feel too overproduced or forced with the kids like others I've seen
I recently become disabled, and skiing was one of my all-time favorite pastimes! Traveling has become a lot harder for me now in my current situation, but following along with your travels, makes me feel like I’m having adventures again! From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for bringing all of us along!

In reference to 5:23 , as a young girl who did gymnastics for 10 years, I can confirm gymnastics does stunt growth. I started puberty late, and after I stopped competitive gymnastics my growth shot up. I'm now left with knee pains, frequent chiropractor visits and general joint problems. However, sienna started gymnastics significantly later in age than I did, so perhaps she wont have severe side effects. But it does have an impact on the body later in life, from extensive research I found that because of the fact gymnasts train very intensely it delays their hypothalamic-pituitary function, especially if they train before they start puberty. Great video btw
Oh wow! I hope you enjoyed the skiing! 🎉 Happy Birthday Darren and Mia! ❤❤ It’s so nice seeing that you guys have uploaded once I came back from a lonngg day of school! ❤
I’ve been skiing my whole life, if your boots don’t fit right it really does affect your whole experience, I know the feeling Georgie, I hope you got them sorted before your next lesson so that you can experience the magic of skiing!!! I’m so glad you guys decided to have proper lessons and I really hope you keep it up because eventually you will be able to go on beautiful adventures, honestly some of my favourite family memories took place on the slopes ❤️ And skiing is a great excuse to go back to the mountains again and again!
21:58 I’m glad Darren stuck up for Sienna. I feel so bad for Sienna when Mia is mean to her and it happens frequently. I don’t think Mia releases how lucky she is to have such kind hearted sister 😕
Happy birthday Darren!❤ Hope you enjoyed skiing and the cold that we have to bear the whole winter😄 also hope you enjoyed the finnish sauna even tho it can be a bit intense :)
Just so you know, it is supposed to hurt a little bit ! But if it hurts too much, you can always open them all the way and let your feet breathe, and then try again ! 28:58 There’s no shame in taking a break 💛 And the inner suit layer at your feet is to put over the boot so no snow gets in ! You all did so good and progressed very easily 💛 12:48
This was one of my favorite videos ever by family fizz!! The rollercoaster of emotions as well as how supportive you all are of each other is very comforting as well as entertaining to watch 🩷 Awesome that you all tried something new and out of your comfort zone.
Happy Birthday Darren! I am always amazed on how much Koa looks like Darren, I'm sorry but he does anyway I hope you guys are having a great time! Stay Fizzy!
Ok so i have been watching your videos for over 5 years now and this is my FAVORITE right now. So much laughter and fun watching this video (btw 37:22 my favorite part 😂). Amazing family atmosphere
This is so precious!! I've been skiing since i was 3 and these would be some of my tips for y'all: 1. The inner part of ski trousers goes over your boot. It's there so the snow doesn't get up your trousers and inside your boots incase you fall. 2. Wear ski gloves!!! If you fall, you can get an ice burn on bare skin and those hurt. You can also slice your finger open on the side of the skies. 3. Bring a hat for breaks when you take your helmet off. 4. Get one of those Buff tube scarf things. They are so useful for when it's cold and the freezing air is burning you while skiing. You can pull it over your ears, neck and even mouth. 5. Wear sunscreen, even on your lips. Also apply lip balm reguralry. 6. Wear many thin layers, that way you can put on more clothes if you're cold or remove a lot incase you're hot. 7. I completely understand the concern when it comes to skiing of your littles, but the sooner they start the better. You can enroll them in classes where they'll teach them so much and learning when they are so young is very valuable. 8. I think you already learned the lesson, but if the boots are hard to close and hurt a lot, do not wear them. It ruins the experience. There are people who can get you different ones, don't be afraid to ask because you def won't be the first one. 9. Cut your toe nails short before skiing, especially if you are planning to ski for a longer period of time or going down a steeper slope. You can get blisters and your toes might look bruised. It's not a big deal, but is causes discomfort. 10. Don't attempt to stop using your ski poles. You can dislocate your shoulder. 11. It's not necessary to use ski poles when you first start learning because they can be rather distracting. 12. The goggles band goes over the helmet and clips in at the back of it. 13. When trying on ski boots to see if they fit, wear socks that you are planning to wear while skiing, since the thickness may vary. Being as relaxed as possible is going to help you get better balance and movement, especially in your knees. It is also much more enjoyable and less painful if you aren't tense. And only do what makes you comfortable. Learning to ski is a long process and doing stuff that seems really scary to you isn't gonna shorten it. Make sure that you are in control at all times and aren't getting ahead of yourself. And most importantly, enjoy. Skiing is absolutely wonderful, it gives you so much freedom and empowerment. It also seems like a great bonding experience for your family. I absolutely adore the love and respect you have for eachother. Enjoy your holiday and happy birthday to Mia and Darren.
Happy birthday Darren, I hope you had an incredible birthday! By the way, I just wanted to mention how much love you show to your family. Your care and affection for them are truly inspiring. I hope you had an incredible birthday! Here’s to making more fun memories and seizing new opportunities in life. May each day bring you joy and exciting adventures!
Happy birthday Mia and Darren!!!!! I hope you guys enjoy your birthdays and I have been watching your videos for about 4 years now I love you guys so much 💗 💖
I’m a British instructor in Switzerland so for a few tips: let your skis glide, that’s what they are suppose to do. As long as you know to stop you can slide☺️ make sure your knee are bent as if you were squishing oranges with your shins, make sure your upper body is pointing down the slope. You can hold your poles horizontally together to help 😍
A big happy birthday to both Mia and Darren I love how Darren always takes time for the kids birthdays and Christmas and I love Mia’s relationships with her siblings and is always so kind and respectful Have a merry Christmas everyone!! ❤❤
I honestly hope to God I find a man as good as Darren. Such a bloody good dad, selfless, humble human being. Like wow. You are so lucky Georgie, and the children ofcourse. I get so much joy out of ur vlogs coz I feel like we r all so alike an legit like I know use in real life lol. Happy birthday Mia and Darren. Ski boot tips: -when you're trying the boots on, make sure you're wearing the same type of socks as you're going to wear when you're skiing. -Don't put any part of the pants on the inside of the boots. The thin bit on the inside of the pants are there to keep the snow out and fit kinda tight around your boot. It's also more comfortable with less layers inside the boots. -If you're still uncomfortable, wear ski socks (they are usually a bit higher then regular socks and warmer) and hike up your under layer trousers above the boot (but still in your socks to stay nice and warm) -I think that beginners are often put in bigger boots because they don't keep as much weight on the front of the boots as more experienced skiiers, which, as you noticed, makes a lot of difference. So as beginners, your toes should probably barely touch the front when you stand straight. As long as your feet doesn't slide around too much in there. -change boots if they're as painful as Georgie's. Also: -Always wear gloves, at least when trying new stuff and the risk of you falling is a bit higher. To make a long story short, I cut my thumb open on the edge of my skis this spring and had to get stitches and now my nerves are a bit messed up. If you have the money you could invest in a second pair of gloves that are thinner (but still made out of a protective material - not too thin). I have been skiing for at least 20 years though and I've managed with only owning one pair of ski gloves at a time so you should be fine anyways. -It's not that necessairy to use ski poles as a beginner. I think they can be a bit distracting or in the way when you're still learning what to do with your feet/legs. (But it's also not wrong to use them if you prefer it.) I'm not a ski teacher or professional I just love skiing so take this with a grain of salt. -a little bag of nuts or somethig in your pocket in case you need some extra energy. :)
The way I could fully understand how Georgie felt in frustration and feeling defeated during and after skiing by crying and laughing. But also I could not stop laughing watching it all play out. ❤😅
I love your videos I’ve been skiing for 2 years. I would recommend getting a back protector and or padded shorts if you’re going to ski again. I personally wouldn’t try snowboarding as they don’t have a safety release like skis. You did amazing for your first go and I hope Georgie didn’t hurt herself.❤😊
My favourite part about the skin part is when Darren forgot his gloves and then I asked to walk through the section with his boots on Owen have a happy birthday Darren
I’ve recently started watching you guys and love you guys! Darren and Mia, happy birthday! I think this is the first video I’ve seen with Darren talking more and in the video. Your family is beautiful. 🤍
Our hats usually also cover our neck, mouth and nose so we stay really warm. Make sure to stay on the bunny slope and beginner trails the first few times you go skiing, trust me
I’ve been watching your videos since the beginning, but I’ve always been a silent fan and haven’t commented… however, this video made me laugh so much, I had to comment. You’re an absolutely amazing family. Thank you for sharing the smiles ❤
hello family fizz i love ur guyes channel so much u guys really help me when i am upset and u really share the smiles🥰 i also hope ur feet are feeling better gorgie
Just a tip for when you are putting on ski boots, the thin bit goes on the outside because it stops all the snow and water and stuff from getting into your boots and making your feet freezing. Hope that helps x btw i love watching your vids Edit: Hand warmers, lip balm and tissues are a must when you are skiing
Loved this video! So fun watching you ski 🤩 Love watching all your long videos everyday. Enjoying it so much! 😍🙏🙏 Happy birthday Mia and Darren ♥ Greetings from Denmark 🥰
Great vlog I started skiing at the age of 4. We got lessons weekly on dry slopes. Then when snow hit it was time. The issue I had. I had no fear so for my safety at the age off 11 Dad refused to take me back. I went on the pole lift alone and got stuck and got dragged up the mountain. My hand and wrist was black. I got down Dad wasn't happy I said can I get cola n Mars bar 😂😂 Georgia it takes time to get used to the boots honest. Tomorrow will be different. Well Done Darren Mia and Siena ❤
Georgie! I just want to let you know your not alone! With the wrong boots skiing is sooooo painful, sometimes I have had to try 3-4 boots in one trip before not being in pain. Take your boots back and try a different brand. You did honestly amazing most people would not be able to stay out as long as you did in painful boots, I really hope the rest of the trip is more enjoyable for you!
Im so glad that you guys had a good time skiing! ❤ i live in Norway so i grew up with skiing, but i have not gone skiing for a long time now. You should visit Norway again and try skiing here too. In Norway (and other countries) we also have a skiing that is called cross-country skiing, and that is something that the whole family can do to, even Koa and Karma ❤️ so if you are planning to come back to Norway i recommend coming in the winter time so you can try cross-country skiing 🥰 i think Koa and Karma would enjoy it! And Georgie would probably like that kind of skiing too because the shoes is so much better to use. And happy birthday to Darren! 🎉
all parts of the sallopettes should be on the outside, so siennas elastic bit should pull under her boot! also it’s easier to walk heel to toe instead of stomping x

You've never skiied??!!!I've gone multiple times, and I LOVE it, it's good hard work too lol as I do 3 hrs per session💗💗💟💟💗happy birthday Darren!
I absolutely love you're vlogs❤you are such a beautiful family 😊
Just a tip for when you are putting on ski boots, the thin bit goes on the outside because it stops all the snow and water and stuff from getting into your boots and making your feet freezing. Hope that helps x btw i love watching your vids
Edit: Hand warmers, lip balm and tissues are a must when you are skiing
Loved this video! So fun watching you ski 🤩 Love watching all your long videos everyday. Enjoying it so much! 😍🙏🙏 Happy birthday Mia and Darren ♥ Greetings from Denmark 🥰
Yous all did a fab !! Xx
I got down Dad wasn't happy I said can I get cola n Mars bar 😂😂
Georgia it takes time to get used to the boots honest.
Happy birthday Darren 🥳🎉🎉
all parts of the sallopettes should be on the outside, so siennas elastic bit should pull under her boot! also it’s easier to walk heel to toe instead of stomping x
