Hopping that whatever is affecting your personal life can be resolved and that balance returns ASAP! Congratulations on your magnificent videos, they are really informative and inspiring at the same time.
Sorry about your personal problems mate, hope things get better for you. You know, I don't buy a lens until I watch your review on it. If I'm looking on ebay and find a decent priced lens, I come straight here and most times you have reviews it. Thank you for your help.
Thanks for another interesting and informative video, Christopher. Also, I'd like you to know your videos are the most relaxing and stress-free offerings on UA-cam, and I always enjoy watching them as they cheer me up when I'm struggling with personal issues myself! Glad to hear your own personal problems have improved. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Some really nice compositions in your fisheye photos here Christopher, as you say it's a difficult lens to use well, but you nailed it with most of these interesting images!
Nice review as always. Here goes a suggestion for a next review on a circular fisheye. Crop an image so as to remove the vignatting, and then straighten the image and let us know how wide the result is and if the heavy correct compromised its peripheral quality. If it remains any acceptable and still ultra or super wide, it could work as duo lens.
I have an 8.5 mm "frame filling" fisheye that also focuses close, around 7 or 8 cm from the front element. It is really fun to capture small items while getting a lot of surroundings in the image.
Thanks for the review Christopher 👍. Remarkable results for the price. To be honest it's probably best not to spend too much on a fisheye anyway as it's probably best used sparingly or else quickly becomes a bit clichéd. Sorry to hear you've been under the weather personally 😔. I've been following you for a few years now and always appreciated your constant positivity. Hope things look up for you very soon ❤️
Perfect timing. Mine arrived just last week because I wanted a fill circle and the Meike 6mm doesn't quite make it. I have to decide which lenses to take with me between my M6II and R5 on my vacation. On the fisheye front, I can take this or the EF 8-15 fisheye but which I bring will depend on the other lenses I bring. This review will help me decide. One thing I can say, I already accidentally picked it up by the cap several times forgetting it's only stuck on by friction, and the lens has fallen out. I don't think I've ever done that with the Meike. I also have to decide how I feel about that outer ring/glow which seems like it's how light inter acts with the rim. It does seem like it could be cleanly edited out, but the Canon 8-15 almost never has that effect. But otherwise, the image quality seems great, and that's the most important thing.
I might have received a faulty version. Returned at my expense due to a particular seller's stonewalling. So I'll just say I was extremely disappointed with the sharpness. I'm very familiar with manual lenses, but this one defeated my attempts to reproduce Christopher's claimed sharpness. I must add that his reviews have always been very accurate, but this instance left me stumped.
I wonder if the image circle will fit entirely onto Canon's slightly smaller APS-C sensors. I've had problems with the Lensbaby circular fisheye in that regard. This may be a tempting option, though.
Is there something wrong with those affiliate genius links? When i click on them i get a "bad link" error page, but if i manually copy the URL it works fine.
If this gives a full circle when shooting 16x9 video on APS-C, then it should be a full circle on micro 4/3 as well, for anyone wondering. This is effectively a m4/3 lens that is available for other systems.
This is an incredible lens, but the cap keeps falling off! It is so very well made and optically so good, it's hard to believe they overlooked this. I can see this being a deal breaker for some even at this price.
Thanks for the video. As always great review. 7artisans have released new pancake style 27mm f2.8 lens which also features auto focus. Did you get a chance to test it, should we expect a review soon? :)

Thanks so much! Balance definitely returning for my whole family after some difficult times.
Certifiably PERFECT for skateboarding photography :)

Thats the reason I didnt buy the Fuji XF150-600mm yet. No way I spend that much money on a lense without Chris having a look at it first.
3:30 Me when i'm trying to see if my little apsc sensor have some dust

nice review, though I wanted to see a sharpness test chart😂
Oh yes, I need one of those lenses, love the fisheye photos.
Thanks for sharing.
Hey! Thanks for reviewing this lens. I don't know if it was because of my Patreon message but it's nice to see it covered regardless.

What brand?
@@fandyus4125 Risespray. Sorry it is 7.5 mm f/2.8
@@pizzablender Thanks!

Chris: "And finally, bokeh"
Me: *snorts*
Chris: "you might laugh at the idea of getting out of focus backgrounds on a 4mm..."
Would love to see this lens on a drone. Aerial photography with this would be super cool
Those photos are magic, your usual spots are barely recognisable. Would love to see an astro time-lapse made with the camera just laying on its back!

It looks very good optically, just can't justify a buy when i will use it once a year
Hey Chris, I hope things work out for you. Thanks for the excellent video as usual. This looks like a good value lens.
this is a nice lens!~ just makes me wonder if it could work with a curved sensor instead, so we get much more resolution in those edges.
Hello. It would be very helpfull to tell us how the lens would look on a full frame camera. I guess it will be even wider ?
I might have received a faulty version. Returned at my expense due to a particular seller's stonewalling. So I'll just say I was extremely disappointed with the sharpness. I hope everything goes well in your life, Chris!
I have this and I love it! It's a wacko crazy lens and for the price, it's a bargain for what you get! Fun photography is the name of the game!
Thanks for another great review!
I normally don't like fisheye lenses. But this seems like a very good candidate for a small ultra wide
I love your videos… I find them so relaxing :)
Would love to see laowa 4mm.
Even more if there was a way to correct a distortion in-camera.
I think panasonic got some distortion correction...
Thank you for the information
Hope all is well with you now.
Fun! Thanks! Anyone know what sort of coverage you get if you add macro extension rings?
Hope you're doing well now! This one is an interesting lens.
Hey. Will this work on a full frame sony or should i get the Meike 6.5mm
Is there something wrong with those affiliate genius links? When i click on them i get a "bad link" error page, but if i manually copy the URL it works fine.
In which way the 4mm fisheye, would have a better definition then the 11mm same brand ? TT Artisan... it is almost the same price.
Sorry you've been having problems, I hope they're resolved soon. Best wishes.
I'm disappointed for the absence of a Z version
Thanks for a great review
yo g nice review
Is it compatible with the sony alpha 580 ?
Any chance to mount it on Canon 70d with ef-s mount 🤔🙏?

But how would it look on a fulla frame camera ?

Can this lens be used in canon 7d
Does this lens fit Canon M6 mark ii?
90's rap music video
Bussa buss, Missy.
Would be interesting to do some astrophotography with this thing!
Shoot the sky. What part? Yes.
Thanks for the video. As always great review. 7artisans have released new pancake style 27mm f2.8 lens which also features auto focus. Did you get a chance to test it, should we expect a review soon? :)
I'm waiting for one to wing its way into my office as we speak. It might even get testing on an extra high resolution Fuji camera...
The perfect lens to make Beastie Boys music videos with.
