This song was written at a time when Billie was basically in a really bad place and her brother brought her back. She was on the verge of ending it. It’s an ode to their bond..
All her music was produced by her brother. You must have heard wrong about issues between them. They’re truly best friends. Their relationship (both personally and professionally) is beyond words. Saw them LIVE and trust me, they’re a force to be reckoned with. I’m such a big fan of both!
It's actually based of a dream she had that she was going to commit suicide of the golden bridge, and the "kinda thought they might care" is her family, friends and fans watching her do it but not caring about her dying, pretty sad
Her bro is in the front seat with her in this video They are best friends and the song is about how when she gets overwhelmed she always has her brother by her side. He is actually a very talented musician himself
Yeah, there was never turmoil between her and her brother there’s been turmoil between her and exes, but this is all about a very real dream that she had because she has sleep paralysis and it makes her dreams very real. She committed suicide and nobody cared then when she woke up, she told her brother about it in detail, so they started to write this song both got to emotional so they stopped because her brother was scared for her and revisited it later and finished the song together when she was in a better headspace and he walked with her through a lot of her mental health issues.
@@UglyaceEnt Hey, i think that you would love "Billie Eilish - bitches broken hearts (Official Live Performance) | Vevo LIFT" , very jazzy and soulful tune. Would love to see you do a reaction to that one
That was definitely fake crap you read about Billie and her brother. They've always been close and still are. There WAS a bunch of people trying to accuse Billie of not giving her brother enough credit for all he does for her but she never stops talking about everything he does for her so that didn't really fly. However it did create a popular opinion that he writes and produces all of her music and she just sings which is not true. But Billie and Finneas have said repeatedly in multiple interviews that they mostly produce the songs together and mostly write them together. A very few were written by him alone and others by her alone and some were produced by him and others by her, but the majority was done both together and she has been anything but silent in her gratitude toward him. I honestly think people like to believe he does all the work because it's easier to believe that than to believe that she really has all that talent, especially when she was very young. People have always been ridiculously critical of everything about her. From her hair, to her body to her clothes. Just the most stupid, petty crap they do can do pull her down. Along with the soulless bullies trying to get a teenager to kill herself and telling her outright that she should. So many haters that can't stand a young, successful person.
Finneas even said something like "people have been saying stupid shit about me not being only Billie's brother, but that's all I ever wanted to be" Love their relationship and how they'll literally go out of their way to defend each other 🥰
She wrote it when she was in a very bad place in her mind. In that dream she ended her life and that was what she ment by "I got everything i wanted. Not what you think " Her brother saved her so this song is for her brother.
Correct you if your wrong? Pppphhttt... according to Billie, she says her music is always open for your own interpretation. It's intended to evoke your own thoughts and emotions! So think what you want my man. Just don't judge....... 😊
@@UglyaceEnt did u know she has a dodge challenger matte black? It was her first car and she loves it sm she called it dragon. It was her dream car. The car used in the video is a replica of her own car. Now she also has an electric Audi I think cause she worries about the environment a lot but I think she still has her Dragon and takes it for a spin once in a while
I remember the second time I went to a crisis center, I had listened to this song and everything was relatable but my Phineas was my grandma who has been gone 5 years now. And I was spiraling out of mania into depression. I'm happy that I'm in a better position where it does make me emotional but in a healthier way as I relate for my own reasons. It's wild how this was for her situation and experience yet the same words can still be relatable to random other people listening. Some songs can be personal and you can empathize but can't quite relate. This one though, very relatable. That's just the lyrics and symbolism. But then the music production/instrumental side of things were perfect for it too. And I loved how the sound/vocal changed when under water to match.
