"Plans Within Plans" Charlie has lost his damn mind. It's crazy that both wielders of the Phoenix have been taken out. This issue and last week's 'Xmen Forever' was a blast to read. Kerri Gielen will be missed. Thnx Ernie for another great video.
I laughed when Xavier shot Rachel. Had me thinking it was payback for Scott killing him😅. There more than likely is a plan here though. As we know Rachel was a vessel for the Phoenix force and they are looking to resurrect it. I can't wait till someone catches Jean up on everything since her death(again)😭
The moment either Betsy, Jean or Selene catches wind of this, Xavier is going to get it when this is done. To answer why Selene, she is obsessed with Redheads that could kill her and Rachel has been on her radar for a long time.
Whilst reading this issue, just one thought ran through my mind, "Xavier is a cold mf" This is some shit i dont even think batman on his worse day could do.
Maybe the "other way" that Xavier mentioned is like him manipluting things so that he can then take over the Dominion's place and become the Dominion himself so that he can save everyone. That is most likely not going to happen, but just throwing theories out there.
Chuck went back in time to waste Moira, just said "nah," and left? Complete waste of time. He could have at least rewrote her mind or hit her with a power nullifier
I thought so too when i read the issue but as blerd said in the video, he thinks xavier did something to her mind that may activate later. Maybe some sort of failsafe so he’s not just relying on her “making the right choice in the end” lol. We’ll just have to wait and see
The next thing that happens might be that Xavier supposedly makes a deal with Mother Righteous, such as, "I will let you out if you or one of your pet gods can sort of revive Doug Sinister, at least for a little while?" And she does and Xavier takes of of Sinsiter's knowledge into his head so taht he can opperate No-Place and all of the other things without Sinsiter physically being there, and then he traps Mother Righteous again telling her something like, "I said I would release you, I just didn't say that it would say forever." Something manipulative like that.
What does ressurecting the Phoenix even mean? Its impossible to kill it. If that actually happened there would be a multiversal collapse. That and Jean had merged with the Phoenix in spirit form before MR killed her in the White Hot Room. Im also over the whole evil Charles thing that originated in Deadly Genesis during the dark ages of X-Men. HE started the dream. Just...fuck all of this. Thank goodness X-Men 97 is out and absolutely slaying my expectations!!!
So Xavier showed everything to Moira and then hid it away in her brain, which means whenever Moira tells Xavier to read her mind he will see it and he will have a chance to prepare for it
No way Rachel is just dead like that. Rachel once held her own heart together when Wolverine stabbed her with his adamantium claws - a testament to how powerful she is as a telekinetic. I want to see what happens next issue. Hopefully the writers won't forget how powerful Rachel is to be able to survive this.
I have a theory hope and Rachel are the ones who Will revive the Phoenix or Rekindle it to bring Jean Grey and Phoenix back from the brink of death. Anne will take down the Ai God for good.
He's wrong. The Phoenix is not dead and they still have time to save it or revive it. Don't worry, Rachel will come back to life. Seriously, killing off counters. Again, really repetitive. Like pretty repetitive.
Krakoa doesnt "need" to end. The writers just ran out of good ideas to move it forward once Hickman left. Theres zero reasons why the stories of Storm and Apocalypse on Arakko (which have been good even without Hickman) "need" to end. I struggle to see how theyre going to conclude a story as complex and indepth as this and replace it with some basic x-men back in the mansion fighting bad guys reboot narrative. Who asked for that?
Many, many fans, even Tom brevoot, the editor of the X-man line, wants to end the Krakoa era, so good for him! I got tired of Krakoa and all the mutant characters acting out of character, even becoming villains
@@MatthewLoh-ru1mw Yes, what we need is a "fresh" take where the X-men team are back in the mansion pretending to be superheros being led by....Cyclops? Rogue? Kate Pryde? Ground breaking stuff lol. Persistent Character Assassination Continues. Original X-Men and Their Founder: 1. Xavier, always was benevolent. Then the meta of always wanting characters to have an edge, an anti-hero, or a dark pass comes to play mostly in the 90s. End result, Xavier at times is more bad than good. Now resorting to outright murder. 2. Cyclops. Always a good guy who will do the right thing. Generally speaking a good moral compass. He is not perfect (See the leadup to Inferno), but he is a good guy and a good leader. Fast forward to the 2000s, He is sleeping with an outright villain, even banging her on the grave of his wife, who if you see Inferno and the stories before, He so much adores Jean, that it is inconceivable he would descend so far. But cyclops was viewed as too Square, so how do we shake things up.. Oh year, make him do that. Make him a straight up villain in Avengers vs X-Men and Schism. 3. Jean Grey: Again, a very nice, homely, but pretty girl that many of the X-men wanted to date, most notebly Cyclops and Angel; later Wolverine. She got developed by Claremont, and the phoenix thing happened, she died, Marvel didn't like the thought of her killing billions and retconed a few things, Inferno happens. With that said, the original plan was for Jean to go dark under the influence of the phoenix and thus she was essentially the Villain of the Dark Phoenix Saga. 4. Beast. Happy go lucky, great Moral compass of the original crew, in some ways even more of a moral compass over Cyclops. Beast literally has never done anything wrong for the most part. Well, 1990s come and hey, why not have a Dark Beast. We can just chalk it up to alternate universe so it doesn't affect the real beast. Beast during Schism was still on the right side of the moral compass. Fast forward to X-Force and Wolverine now, and we have beast going straight Villain and people were more wishing Beast get killed than Mr. Sinister. In fact, the way the stories are written about current Beast, you would say he is more of a straight villain than Magneto or Apocalypse ever was. Again, complete character assasination. 5. Angel: Rich guy, not much personality, he an Xavier kinda funded the X-Men. Loved Jean Grey, but lost out to Cyclops. When Wolverine came along, he served as the White Knight to protect Jean and Cyclop's relationship against the "uncivilized" beast of a man that Wolverine is. Basically, a big white knight simp. The minute Jean comes back in X-Factor books, he is STILL trying to get with her, behind Cyclop's back. But, that is a matter of heart and attraction, the guy though is a good guy. A bit boring though. So what do we do, Well, Turn him into Archangel so that he can be a "villain". That story runs it's course and it was good. But then after exorcising his demons, He is still constantly reverting to this darker Archangel role over and over again over the next 40 years. The urge to not have normal good people, but to have anti-hero or even straight villains is strong. 6. Iceman: the Youngest, a kind of jokster trope for being the youngest. A lady's man. Had cool teamups in the 70s and 80s. Well, that's not enough. We need to do something with the character. Ok, how about he can't control it in X-FActor. Ok how about, he is more powerful than he has been portrayed the past 30 years, turn him into an Omega level mutant when such a classification didn't exist. How about having dark beast corrupt him. Oh, none of it is sticking. How about making him an LGBT icon, when the character has never been portrayed as such. Now I will admit that for the most part, he hasn't really had the negative villain turns liek the other 5 from above. But the results are still the same, Character assassination. The guy you read for 40 years is not the same guy from year 40-50, and DEFINTELY not the same guy in year 50-60. The counter argument is, well do you want a character to stay stagnant, the answer is NO, but there are some things that are central to a character. Superman is who he is, Collosus is who he is. Both are very benevolent characters. one should never turn them into what they aren't. That is character assassination.
