Yeah it's so annoying. Nobody who's considering these headphones gives a fuck about headphones > $100. It's called budget for a reason. Oh _wow_ the headphones that cost $350 sound better than these? I would have never guessed! Maybe if I had $200 more dollars I'd think your comparison wasn't full of shit
I mean, if you compare mid to budget items against the top tier, you can easily ask a potential customer: "What features are you willing to compromise on?"
Great review. I nearly went for a pair of these as they were on sale for half price at JB HiFi. I actually went for Senheiser HD450BT for $20 more because they were just a little bit more comfortable than the Sony and have a 2 year warranty as opposed to the Sony's 1 year warranty. Saying that, I would have been very happy with these as well!
Finally found a UA-camr i can trust with heardphone reviews. Straightforward and awesome review, was on the fence about getting these, found them at $80, I think I might as well snagg them.
@Fazil Farooqui yes sir indeed is, i ended up buying the xm4’s but even they didnt sound good enough for thier price tag. I ended up going with audio technica m50xbt . Best headphones i ever tried
I don't know why I watch reviews after my purchase, but I had a 200$ cap and I'm pretty happy with them so far. But I've never used a better pair either. I upgraded from wired earbuds.
Regarding the shallow pads, you can "pack" those with soft material, like rubber tubing, rolled soft cloth, etc. tucked under the pads to lift them away from the speaker surface. Gives big ears like mine more room.
why is this the only youtuber who talked about this. I watched like 3-4 videos about this and they all said it was very comfortable. But that shallow pads really hurt my ears, and almost feel like I wasted my money.
But, the sony wh1000xm3 and m4 are the top tier regular headphones from Sony? It's a little obvious that the WH-CH710N can't compete with it given that it's more than half the price. This should have been compared to other Sony headphones that are on the same price tier like the WH-H810, WH-XB700, or WH-XB900N. I got these after needing to find a good headphone with decent noise cancelling since working from home with other people around you makes it difficult to concentrate. I honestly did consider the WH-1000XM4 but at Php, 20,000 that was a little too steep at the moment. Overall, I agree with your last bit wherein if your budget is a strict $200 or Php. 10,000 this would be a good one to get. Noise cancelling is pretty good, Bass is good, overall comfort while wearing it is okay, I have an industrial piercing and the pads touch on the barbell a bit but nothing a little adjustment when wearing it can't fix. Thank you for doing a sample of the voice recording using a mic, I was wondering what I sound like in a conference call. Battery life is awesome, when I bought it, it was charged to 70%, used it to test it out a bit then used it for work the next day with lo-fi and UA-cam playing for 12 hours and it still had like 30% left. I do kinda miss the sound from Marshall's, those blow your ear out when you want to play at full volume, this one is a little kind and mindful of your ears so no matter how high I put the volume it doesn't get the same punch that my old marshalls gave.
yeah , I really get confused between these - [ ] Sony WHCH710N - [x] Anker Soundcore Life 20Q - [x] TaoTronics soundsdsurge 90 all of them now under 100$ personally , I don't want sony just because of the name also I really want a good noice cancellation and I won't sacrifice the comfort
I’ve had these headphones for two years and I work lawncare. They’ve been through any kind of climate you can think of. I’ve had to super glue them back together a few times I’ve even left them outside over night in the pouring down rain and the speakers were soaked. I tried to turn them on at first and they just made a loud ringing noise and I thought I broke them, a buddy told me to just plug them in and leave them on the charger for a few hours and they should work fine after wards and I didn’t believe him but I did it anyways and they’ve worked good ever since. However they are getting pretty worn out and don’t fit around my ears snug like they should so the noises don’t cancel as good anymore but I’ve had them for two years so I’m not complaining. However I’m looking for an upgrade, something better for about $150 or less. I like my bass whether it’s in a country song or a rap song and I’ve heard the skull candy evo has some of the best bass. But are they good at making loud sounds quiet like lawnmowers and leaf blowers etc
I just returned these headphones because my left ear too felt discomfort, but after a very short time. I'd advise buying some that are not so shallow with cup depth.
I just got these today for Christmas. Have to charge them though right out of the box.. 😕 The only reason my wife bought them is because my nice COWIN noise canceling headphones quit charging because the charge port is so cheaply built. I hope SONY lasts longer than COWIN. 🎧
I’ve just bought 2 broken sets of these from eBay, one has left hinge snapped and the other has right side broken. Total cost £20 I’m happy with them, I had to re solder 10 wires in the process but didn’t mind :)
I have an opportunity to buy them for 93 USD, from local Sony Centre Should I get them? Or are there better options in same price range regarding sound quality?
I have xm4, and having buttons instead of touch is a plus for me, and this earcups seems to fit me me better, seeing this review because i want to buy a budget ones to offer, think i'm sold already
I got these free with my Xperia 10III (It's the main reason I got the phone) I have 2 other Sony Bluetooth models and 2 pairs of wired Sony headphones. The battery lasts forever and work fine with a couple other devices. I've been using them with my phones, Vita, Oculus quest 2. They wouldn't pair with PS4, PS4pro or PS5 but i have the the PS Sony pulse 3d headphones for gaming When wired the 710s sound great with my Surfans F20 + a pocket amp.
Got a question, my wife and I bought a pair of these noise canceling headsets and really enjoy them. we only use them when on airplanes and have noticed when we power on but do not connect to any of our blue tooth devices or wire to airplane screen, the headsets will power off after 10 minutes. Is this normal, can I keep power on without using any entertainment devices, just cancel noise?
under $100 today on Amazon. picked them up. at that price point i thought it would be abetter overall choice than the Anker Soundcore Life Q20. guess we'll see.
@@jagjeetraien3448 no dude. I did some more research and read alot of negative reviews regarding them being uncomfortable. Ears start to hurt after 30 minutes to 1 hour. Also I’m kind of an audiophile. So these won’t cut it. I’m now looking into buying the Bose soundlink 2. Regular price $270 cad. Right now they are on sale for $190. They look much more promising. If you have extra $60, go for them for sure. Very good reviews.
How good are these at cancelling out that beeping noise that trucks make when they're going backwards? I'm getting the impression that noise-cancelling headphones in general are better for lower-frequency noises that aren't as sharp sounding.
is there a version without noise cancelling available? i really hate how noise cancelling feels on my ears and it would save a lot of money to get headphones that just dont have noise cancelling
hello, I'm Belgian and I would like to ask you a question here. why the Sennheiser momentum true wireless have the best sound quality with 9.0 while the outlier gold have 9.7 in sound quality?
Idk why I'm debating these so much, they're like 75% off right now and that's only on big websites I trust nevermind going into refurbished or smaller sites. They're clearly an upgrade on goddamn Raycon I'm so sorry.
Anc pricing versus quality is a joke. It doesn't cost manufacturers any more or less. Phase cancellation is not rocket science. It's a pricing racket and anything 200 hz and below is boxy mud. These are pretty flat wich is great for me. I like accurate sound. Most consumers mistake boxy mud for good bass response like this dingus. Same drivers. One just has a shizzy algorithm boosting the boxy mud. There is a slight bump in the mids. A little to crisp for my liking but revealing. These could double for checking your mixes on. Great price point for some mid tier Sony over ears. I just picked these up four 40 bucks. Easy decision.
I don't get why you keep comparing them to the ones that cost more, no wonder they're worst in that case because obviously they won't have the same quality, at least compare it to other headphones in the same price range
