I love your podcasts. I am 3rd generation Irish American. My great grandfather came to the United States when he was a boy because his father was inolved in a tenant uprising, arrested, summarily charged and sentence to 7 years transport to Australia leaving behind a wife and 5 children. This occurred in the late 1830's early 1840's. That is what I have been told. You seem very knowledgeable about Irish history. Do you think the story has some merit.
You're not irish cos you had an Irish ancestor 200 year ago, your family have been in America for 200 years !!! America itself is only 300 years old ffs you're American
Even though I watched this early .. watched it again .. because it was so well done .. and the story of these young guys being able to pull off this rescue was amazing., and made you feel proud how they were determined to rescue their young friend.. These stories are inspiring ., and show how dedicated these young men were to their cause ., and to each other .. Thank you for presenting these awesome podcasts.. they ., and you ., are so much appreciated .. please keep doing these, mate⚘☘ Jen999💙
Although I've read Dan Breen"s book, your podcast made it much more clear to me exactly what was happening and the consequences if they failed> Thank you Davy for another great podcast!
Very, very well told. Thank you for that. I wonder why south Tipperary was such a hotbed of patriot fervor, as it seems it was? Keep the podcasts coming. You do this so well. ☘️
Not sure if you came across the name Thomas Howard while researching this video, but I think he was in the get away car. He was my great uncle. I've been there to the station. Love the history.
Hey big bad Davy could you do a segment on Michael Brennan of East Clare Tom mcellestrim of Kerry Michael Kilroy of mayo dinny Lacey of Tipperary all underrated IRA leaders in irelands fascinating david and Goliath struggle

What a man Dan Breen was.
What commitment, guts and no fear these young men had. No army in the world could beat that. You will never beat the Irish,
Sounding more like a movie than a story, absolutely remarkable courage, will and perseverence to rescue their comrade Sean Hogan.
Dan Breen, what a tank 😂
BRAVE IRISH HEROES, ONE AND ALL.
THANK YOU, DAVY
