It amazes me how there's an audience for this. I was late teens/early 20s in the 90s. An authentic 90s Hip Hop artist. I've watched this style fade into oblivion. But it seems like there's a lot of younger people listening. That's cool! My age group has moved on.
It's surprising how many young peops in their late teens early twenties i meet at 90ies hiphop parties here in switzerland, and they actually know about the stuff they research and sometimes come up with songs i haven't listened to since my teens... and to my own shame even showed me a rapper or two i didn't know back then...
This was summer of 03' for me, my friends and I would skate to the skate park which was right in the middle of a pool and a gas station. Right before the street lights came on we would watch the sun go down over the desert. The thought of aging was not on my mind yet but I can remember the taste of the ice cream we had while laughing about something. Then on the way back was a cool mile away, cool part about it was that it was completely down hill, so you could ride the hill and get back to the cul-de-sac. Was awesome, especially on a windy day later that year in fall...
