@@GeneralGarvel Perhaps you could put two Intellytechs next to each other. That would be a wall of light about 6' x 9' and that would be very similar to an 8 x 8 frame of diffusion with almost 600w of output. I know I'd rather rig two of these than setting up an 8 x 8 frame, two Aputure 300c lights behind it, black frames on each side to avoid spill plus all the C-stands and clamps. That's a load of work!
Hey Damien, another great review. If you put the power ballast vertical (sitting on the bubber feet) it reduces the fan noises dramatically. I was told this trick by the manufacturer.
Would love to see you compare different flex lights from competing companies. Felconeyes has a couple of lights with similar specs and I believe at similar or lower price points. Felconeyes (36&48TDX) and there big boy the RX 7120.
I really appreciate this review since I not heard of this particular product. I know Intellytech and they have some innovative stuff and this certainly qualifies. You didn't show us the case which you mentioned but I saw it in an Intellytech video demo. Thanks.
The app always seems to be an afterthought for a few companies. I do wish they would standardize the protocols so we can just use wireless DMX with all of these lighting instruments, regardless of the manufacturer.

thanks for the good tip... have directly checked out where I might get the product... apparently only in the USA? since I'm also in the film and TV industry for a very long time, I would have liked it better if you had set a light edge for the interviewees, that looks more natural... so it seems a little striking and less atmospheric... which in turn is helpful, depending on what the interviews are about content-wise... sorry is petty but the eye 'listens' too ;D
I’m looking to get the 3.0 RGB version. Do you find having a rectangle shape reflection in the eyes as distracting? This is one of the reasons I like light domes. Thanks!
not at all. More often than not a light setup is motivated by a window light. So a round reflection looks unrealistic. I love the 3.0 version. Make sure to use my link ;) www.intellytechusa.com/?ref=nqledr65
You mentioned it can simulate a window. I noticed that in the clip with poker play (is that fedor holz?) there was a large window to the right of the film crew. Would you consider using that?
Is this big enough?
Maybe not, If you are keying more the 2-3 people then you will need a bigger source and more light o.o

Came here to say this same thing
This is a game changer. A portable "cove" light for any set!
really good video Monkeypixels. I crushed the thumbs up on your video. Continue to keep up the fantastic work.
Wow!!! Now I need a new light. That is awesome.
I love my Mega LC! Such a wonderful tool on set.

Very cool light! Just wished the sides where a bit more tight, seems like there's a lot of side bleed with the grid attachement

yeah, I had already stored it in my basement at the time and was just too lazy :D
Is there a link to the light? Or am I just missing it?

It seems aputure is the only company that has thought about using dmx wireless
thank you for making this review!!
Another good one.
Am I missing it, or is there really no link in the description for this light? D’oh!!!

@@damiencooper damn, did you have to pay import tax as well?
@@ShotByMyles no. I ordered it from gafpa.com and didn’t have to pay any taxes. With a vat registered business I didn’t even pay sales tax
@@damiencooper awesome thanks, will check that out!
Great Video! Any recommendations on where to get this in Germany? Could not really find a reseller.
Look great! but I can't find it in Europe, where did you buy this light?
gafpagear
Highly recommend and they're the official distributor
What do you use as your b-camera tripod in this video?
This was an amazing video man! What a light!! BUT WHAT A PRICE THO hahaha
Nice video, where can I get a light like the one in your background
Still a big fan of these?

@@damiencooper that makes sense. What size do you use the most? I’m not sure on the medium vs largest size. Thanks!
looks like it is made by falcon eyes or a spin off
Well, that’s American made and falcon eyes is Chinese.
Great review :) is there an option to buy this light in Europe?
Gafpagear.com
That’s where I bought mine

Yes that’s Fedor.
Actual window light is way to inconsistent. But with that key might you can make it look like the light is coming from that window
@@damiencooper that’s really cool you got to work with him he’s one of my favourite poker players… ok that makes sense thank you!
As soon as a cloud goes by, your exposure and white balance changes drastically with natural light.
what about the Godox FL150R, its Dimensions are 30X120cm and the price is way more reasonable
Totally different light.
Way more narrow and half the output
Any noticeable color shift? I had the 160 lite cloth and shifted more towards magenta.
No affiliate link?
I don’t have one. 🥲
I’d be rich by now 😂
@@damiencooper dang wanted to give you a kickback when I order one!
It would always really hurt me to spend £2000 flex panel like this knowing I could build one for less than £100...
The cri of these leds are on par with arri skypanel , zero chance you can build this yourself unless your into black and white photography..
I can get 10m of 95+ cri led strips for about £20...

Thx for video, I want this light! I believe color range starts at 3000K, not 2700K as u stated. (I wish it was 2700, I often go below 3k). Thx again!
Oh you might be riggt. That was the last light I reviewed. Oops
Too small... 😅
