We will be there Sept., last port to visit with Odyssey of the Sea. The town looks lively but I signed up to see historical buildings and ruins.

I’m not sure which is the most popular but there are some I could recommend… Dakos, Stifado, and mostly seafoods and grilled meat. ;-)

I'm from Chania and I can tell you/recommend you : Sfakiani pie, Kalitsounia with honey, Anthotiro, Staka, Mpougatsa etc!

@ yes. It is a lot cheaper compared to Sydney and I like the way of life there, slow and relaxed.
