Love how Miller passed back to Joshua for the empty netter instead of bagging the hat trick-what a class act and teammate ❤
Millsy wants the W and nothing else. Absolute beauty
Thats one characteristic of miller, he doesnt care about his stats. He wants to win instead
@@CME-4575 Except he hates to back check.
Can we just talk about how the boeser goal was definately a goal, the goalie put his hand into millers legs, and the defence man pushed him into the goalie, it’s a clean goal
totally. BS call
We would want it to be a no goal if it happened to Demko or deSmith. Or at least that's what I told myself 😅
Like, it wasn't even Millers stick being between Daws' legs. Utterly insane how bad that call was
NHL head office probably called to rule against the Canucks like they do with everything.
Yeah that was a trash call. The goalie had plenty of room to slide across he had moved after the push by the defender, he had time.
Connor garland with a big goal, turning on the jets and rushing behind the net like a man on a mission, makes a slick wraparound, making it look easy.
He will show up in the playoffs
this goal was the decisive goal which broke down the opponent’s hopes for a comeback
He is the core system
Was watching the TOR @ SJ game and I turned this on in between periods, and instantly witnessed 2 goals in 12 seconds in the 2nd!
Also holy cow it’s been 10 years since Canucks won in NJ!
Keep 😭😭😭 CRYING. MF
Keep 😭😭😭😭😭 CRYING 😭😭😭
4th out of 32, 53 points tied with Colorado, 1 point behind Boston. It’s nice to be in the winners column for a change. Let’s keep it rolling boys!
How was Boeser goal disallowed. Nhl needs to tighten those calls up. He tried to not touch the goalie and got pushed in. Terrible call.
Demko looks like every goal is getting to him, hes doing extremly well however I feel like he needs a night off, not because hes doing bad but just to relax about the goals, although that may fo more harm than good, I just watch the sport I dont coach
He's had quite a few nights off lately with desmith starts and holiday breaks, he needs to play and just get in the zone again imo.
Pettersson, Miller, Hughes 👏👏👏👏
Which miller😂
Legit chance to score every shift
@oyeahjustcomenting Ryan Miller....oops, I forgot he'd retired.😉
That disallowed goal was a total bullsh@t call.
No Miller was riding Daws, also, Luke Hughes was definitely tripped and no call. I am a Canucks fan, but the disallowed goal was the right call and they got away with the late trip.
@@glenrichardson8266 I went back further than the replays showed. #71 definitely pushed Miller into the goalie while Miller was outside the crease. The refs blew that one big time.
@@MickLoud999 Miller was in the crease before he was pushed. And contacted the goalie first.
@@glenrichardson8266you're wrong, Miller was pushed into the crease.
Miller was pushed into the goalie at 1:21 which isn't why the goal was disallowed. It was the contact from Miller basically sitting on the Goalies arm at 1:19 not allowing him to be in position to make the save a second later. Then Miller gets pushed. It was a good call. Don't be a homer, slow down the video and watch it, takes like a minute and youll see clearly it was goalie int. @@ATGAT
Elias Pettersen with the "Palmolive hands."
Demko was looking a little soft tonight. A couple of those goals I think he wanted another chance at.
As lights out as he's been, he's bound to have a less then perfect game once in a while. The 18 guys playing in front of him returned the many favours they owe Demko by bailing him out with some big time goal support, and Thatcher did make the key saves he needed to make, never once giving the Devils a tying or go ahead goal, just letting it get a bit closer then the game should have been. The Connor Garland goal was huge, as it crushed a Devils rally. Those goals are real momentum killers. Another enemy net decorated by the Garland.
I’m sure he’d like another crack at a few of them, but looking at the replays sometimes you gotta tip the cap and just say nice shot. Like the point blast in the 3rd, perfectly top corner from the dman; it was a nice shot.
Seemed to have a weak spot blocker side hard shots from the right D. - Three goals that looked very similar.
3 goals were perfect post and in shots.
@@bentonszylowski1891 As I said in a reply above, Demko made the saves he needed to to get the win. I agree that some of those shots were just plain snipes and tough to handle.
Quinn Hughes with the good old Hendrik Hattrick!
Hopefully the resurgence of the top line started tonight. Miller, Pettersson, Boeser, Kuzmenko etc. had been non-existent for a number of games, and really needed to make more of an influence on the games they play. Thankfully, they did that tonight, but need to keep that going now. No let up, because at nearly halfway through the season, Canucks have a good lead at the top of the Pacific Division.
I think it was putting Miller, Petterson and Boesser on the same line again that kicked them into gear. Splitting them up seems to spoil their chemistry. Though Kuzmenko can fit with Petterson and Miller as well, though I get the feeling Tocchett doesn't plan on that any time soon, barring an injury forcing his hand.
the top line is the garland line. 4th line keeping them in the hunt
Pettersson with the Russians didn't work. Maybe Miller can play with them and Pettersson and Boeser together.
Tough game for Demko but good win.
It was the team defence in front of him that was complete crap.
@@Mulder-Scully The D were fine tonight... look at the shot differential on a high scoring and high shooting Satan team. The D kept Jersey to under 10 shots per period average. Demko was Ok.... not stellar-and that's ok. The shooters can bail Demko out now and then, the 3rd line bails the 1st/2nd line out some nights ect ect. That is a sign of a good balanced team
No one has any right to say a word about Demko. He is top 3 in the league. Just proving that he is in fact human. Go Canucks!
he was below his normal stellar performance tonight
2nd and 3rd goal was below average save, but still went in😛
@@Westsider4eva Look at other saves he made. Defensively they need to be better. It’s as simple as that.
CALM DOWN!
His right shoulder was all open for blue line goals, 2 goals can kill team confidence like this in few seconds and end up losing 8:14 @@kellyZ93
some bad calls in this game. NJ 3rd goal was 100% offside. goalie getting his stick stuck on miller wasn't millers problem.
The only bad call in this game was the call we didn't get when Luke Hughes was tripped lmfao??
100% offside, surprised there was no challenge
Not to mention they had too many men prior to that goal as well.
Lmao. The Canuck was in the crease. Does not matter if the goalie got the stick stuck himself or not
@@sst6601 You're allowed being in the crease... You clearly don't know hockey rules.
way to go canucks you follow a lose with a win most nights and havnt seen a 3 game slump yet
Canucks fan and a goalie here - it's Interference; miller pushed off the defender to try and create room but went into the goalie in reverse. His legs tie up Daws stick hand which prevents him from raising his pad to slide leading to a last resort attempt. Now if this was my beer league, it's always a goal 😂
If the Canucks make the playoffs, they cannot cannot play Tyler Myers. What lead to that second Devil's goal was because Myers pinched in with less than a minute left in the 2nd period. As a defensemen, why on earth would you pinch in when you are up 3-1 and your forwards are scrambling for the puck along the boards? Myers couldn't get back into position when defending the rush and it lead to the Devil's goal. Myers has no brains. Too many times his mistake is the difference between a loss and a win. You can't have that in the playoffs.
I agree completely. You should see how much he gets paid. Way too much 😂
Lol as a certified couch coach I’ve often thought that, usually he’s getting an assist for the opposition 😳, …..having said that, I have to reiterate, at this point we have to trust the coach! 😂
The good ol chaos giraffe.
cannot cannot so can?
I'd rather have Mike Meyers standing at the blue line looking menacing, then Tyler Myers. No joke.
It was difficult watching this game, my top 2 favourite teams in the NHL.
Whilst it was good to see my #1 fav team win the game, it was sad to see my #2 fav team lose. I thought the Devils did well to come back from being down 2-5 and then come within 1 goal of the Canucks until the late empty net goal by Dakota Joshua.
Hey, Demko has bailed the boys out when he had to, and tonight they repaid the favour.
Not that it matters now because they still won but that Boeser goal should have counted. Miller was pushed.
I like the canuck's announcers. Unlike some of the "homer" announcers I hear on these hockey highlight UA-cam videos, they don't scream like every goal their home team scores like it's the greatest goal in history.
Shorty is the goat in my books
He doesn’t get in the way of watching the game. This reminds me of another announcer for the Canucks: Jim Robson
This game felt like Miller Time.
Canucks back to offensive productivity, defense questionable.
No ZADDY.
Not as bad as Jersey
Hughes pair protecting leads 😅you can’t count on them.
What a play at the end
Canucks Looking real good and nexxt year will be even better with your prospects:P
Canucks don’t care about my mental health at all. Demko didn’t look good this game. A win is a win though.
That first goal. The stick between the goalies legs belonged to New Jersey number 71.
The Canucks just continue to keep surprising everyone
that read off of miller on Van’s second goal was top notch. trusted hughes wouldn’t have a passing lane, so only plan is to throw the puck deep in behind the net or to throw it on net. and he was pinching. risky but defs paid off
Devils did pretty good with no jack Hughes, Hamilton, timo miere and palat
@@GregHelms420yeah those Canucks with the black and white striped jerseys were unstoppable
@@WuRuiDe boo hoo.... The Dakoda "holding call" was lame. He was reaching with his stick and called for holding... really? No open hand on the Devil player.
Devils were out played, out scored, and beat handily
Satan was only somewhat in this game because Demko had a few goals on him that were weakish
@@nameless_no_name grabbing with the hand is not the only way to get a holding call silly
@@WuRuiDe I suppose.... but it was pretty weak considering what is called for holding generally.
The NJ fan penalty call in the 3rd when the NJ player and Nuck players' skates clipped was what Satan was whining about wrt to refs favouring the Nucks = desperate garbage
@@GregHelms420doubt that! Hughes Hamilton and Meier would’ve scored on your trash goalie!!
Give Pettersson som class linemates and he will produce. He has been mistreated to long now.
Nylander
??? He played with Miller and Boeser tonight. Surely 7th in points and 5th in goals league wide qualifies as class
@@Captain.Dingus yes and he produced?
@@Captain.Dingus Sorry, I might have been a little bit vague. The point of my comment was "look what happens when EP gets to play with elite linemates like today."
I was right.
Go Canucks Go
I’m glad to see the lotto line back together. I don’t like Miller at center but don’t mind him as a LW/C on top line. I also wasn’t fond of Michayev on the top line either. I’d love it if they can find a solid 2C for that second line but I think they’d have to do more cap flexibility trades (which I think they’ve done pretty well at so far)
Canucks offence is something
Demko clocked out during the 3rd period
Let's go boys!!
3rd jersey goal was offside
It looked that way to me as well.
Surprised the coach didn't challenge that.
Nope
I thought it was offside as well but when I play it back frame by frame here on the UA-cams it was onside.
Jersey had wicked wrist & slap shots on Demko where he had no chance! They made the game more interesting at least!
I can't tell if garland is playing to leave town or just playing great now that he is given a solid role an feels like its his. Im a little worried on his size for playoff hockey. But thats ultimately a call for mgnmt. love the player
Miller was good 😂😂
2 or 3 of those goals went past demko clean from the blue line. Thats not good enough. Glad the canucks got the win tho
Lordy, neither team could keep the puck out of the net tonight.
Mind you, all pretty sweet goals, although Dawes was slow reacting to Garlands wrap around.
Still, back to .500 for the new year. Lets keep it up!
Vancouver Canucks are number one in the league right now. How the hell is Thatcher Demko not on the all-star team?
And The Lotto Line
They're not in first place. They're not even first in the west.
They are 4th out of 32, tied with Colorado with 53 points, 1 point behind Boston. Who cares if they aren’t first, I think we will take it.
Jets are #1 in the league right now, I don’t think anyone in the world saw that one coming.
Next few win will get them back up there @@alexwinter3272
Looks like Demko's weakness is his blocker side. Check out last game's highlights too!
I think most goalies are because their carrying the stick as well, and they cant use it to catch anything or cover it really like they can with the glove however I do agree that his blocker side is his weakness still a great goalie though
He's been very mediocre the last few games.
65% of goals are stickside I’m thinking despite should get a start demko faces a lot of rubber!
Was just gonna comment, his blocker looks rough last 2
Desmith sorry I missed that auto correct !
Quinn Hughes and the Vancouver Canucks win over the Hughes Brothers (Jack and Luke) and the New Jersey Devils 🏒🔵⚪🟢🇨🇦
Vancouver Canucks improve to 25-11-3, while the New Jersey Devils dropped to 21-15-2
Myers Needs to GO who is he defending 4:35 Same thing happened in St Louis
LETS GOOOOOO, Jets/Nuks in the WCF
This was a snipefest.
New Jersey is showing how cursed they are now. The Bedard curse.
Finally!
Always nice to see the boys bailout the tendy on an off night
It was the team defence in front of him that was complete crap.
@@Mulder-Scully true but demko is a great goalie and was only good tonight not blaming him love demko
Garly with the burrows wrap around
SIX FORTY NINE!!!!
I think i know now why Tocchet benches Kuzmenko -- that 4th devils goal was him not covering the passing lane.
Keep the Lotto line intact Petey looks re energized
think this is bonus goal(edit rfa this off season) there! contract stuff
TDC line strikes again haha best third line in the league
Was Ruff game for Devils.
NJ got dominated this entire game.
The success of the Lotto line would have given Bedard a great spot centering the 2nd line.
His injury against these very same Devils and the success of this Lotto line is an indication of this.
Bedard does belong in Vancouver. Blackhawks getting him after the Kyle Beach stuff is criminal. Coyotes were punished way harder for their shenanigans which was way less severe.
YOU blame Miller for the disallowed Boeser goal? Thats what you get from Miller after that then !!!!
I know the njd fans didnt like that no call on miller but nucks fans didn’t like that no goal call on boesers goal. Both sides have been screwed by the refs many times and that was one of the times and fortunately nucks did a great job in todays game overall and just made a few mistakes costing us some goals to get by demko
Devils are scary good missing 3 star players. Bratt needs to step up big time and take more possession of the puck.
Between Hamilton Meier and Hughes that’s a loss of a expected goal +
WE NEED A GOALIE
meh... Satan had no business being in this game. Demmer had an OK game. If he had his standard star-like game, Satan would have been blown out
Yeah Bratt needs to get back the energy he had at the start of the season.
Lotto 6-40-9
"You're gonna wanna hear this"
Demko needs to start stopping those long shots and not letting the other team back in the game
Well ya, that’s a condensed interpretation, 😂
Those were legitimately good shots that normally don't go in from those o-zone regions, and none were five-alarm scoring chances, but you have to deal with those misfortunes every now and then
First goal should not have bee waived off. Wow
Kuzmenko effect
Daws did not have a good night. He looked a bit slow most of the time.
Lekkerimäki on a line with Petey next season could be exciting
Ugly one but its two points
Vancouver deserved the win even though the Devils got close.Canucks worked harder and shot harder.Devils were asleep early and it cost them.
Were the Devils not tired as well? I mean, gotta learn how to play tired, Canucks have learned that arguably the hard way, but could there be a bit of a built in excuse?
Тренерский штаб Ванкувера решил создать ударное звено, объединив Петтерссона, Миллера и Бесера. Это звено и настреляло 8 очков, к которым можно прибавить 3 ассиста Куина Хьюза.
Did anyone check daws' resume?
I was hoping Miller would get a hat trick
1st disallowed goal is so biased
The refs screwed that one up. How is Miller supposed to stay out of the crease when #71 is constantly pushing him into the goalie. The refs were solely looking at reasons wot wave this goal off. Miller was outside the crease and the Devils player just shoved him into the goalie. If I remember correctly that is NOT a reason to call goalie interference!!
@@MickLoud999 Except Miller was in the crease and putting pressure on Daws before there was ever contact in the first place. It was reviewed. Go join the league as a ref and see how quickly it takes you to get laughed out spouting crap like that.
that was a good goal,,refs suck...Miller did NOT impede the goalie from making a save...which is what they say is the prime factor that is looked at...f'in bullsh** call
@@douggarden Wrong, but go off.
@@FruckyChakes So much hate. Get back on your meds there boy.
I'm surprised the second goal wasn't disallowed from goalie interference.
Miller was pushed in
Myers is the biggest pylon in the league. Dude is clueless on the ice.
Its 2024 and we cant get NHL highlights in 1080p. Instead we get horribly compressed 720p. How is this sport supposed to grow when this is the best we have
720p нормально. Вот когда только 360р это плохо.
Canucks outshot the Devils 42-25 & outplayed them for the Majority of the game, but a poor performance from Demko in net made the game a lot closer than it should have been...J.T. Miller & EP40 lead the offense tonight with a pair of goals each while Quinn Hughes adds 3 🍎...Canucks get their first win in New Jersey in over a decade & now head to the big apple for a challenging matchup against the Rangers on Monday...
To be honest, Demko wasn't the sole player at fault for those late goals from Devils. The defence were caught puck watching and left wide open spaces for the wrist shots from their 2x defensemen. Basically, our guys learned nothing from what happens when you're chasing the puck all the way around the net.
Canucks tried to switch it to autopilot and got punished as a result. It would be nice seeing this team play a whole 60 minutes. Also NJ goalie played pretty well and we still fial to bury the puck when it matters. The team did alot better than against the blues though
@@conorcahill5422 Yea the second goal for the Devils. Myers was the 3rd man watching the puck carrier. Instead of playing the other side. Too many clean shots from the point were allowed as well. Demko should of have 1 or 2 of those. But a majority of them were set up by bad defensive awareness.
Not blaming Demko at all tonight he made some huge saves earlier on, both NJ 3rd n 4th goals were D coverage breakdowns including Amans gaffe
No offense, but an .840 save% for Demko tonight is pretty weak, and he should have been able to come up with saves on a few of those goals.
Wow the curse is broken!
Yes 2 Points is 2 Points
Demko starting to shake and that's just the beginning, the wheels will start falling off before February.
Myers in no man's land again 4:37................sigh
Oh that magnetic puck.
Hughes 😂
Demko is a worry on an otherwise solid team hopefully he can play through it but he's looking shaky especially on long shots
Relax.
You’re kidding right?!
Honestly, 7 of those goals were great, clean goals. I don't count the empty netter and firmly believe Dawes was slow on the wrap around.
An ugly win, yes.
I'm just glad we mounted offense and weren't the *recipient* of 35+ shots for once.
Canucks did deserve to win this game tho. They outplayed New Jersey in that whole game. NJ didn’t play well sorry but it’s the truth. At one point I believe the shots were like 30-9 for Vancouver.
Completely unrelated but why do the Devils have the word "Jersey" on their jerseys? That seems rather funny.
The team is based in New Jersey. They're called the New Jersey Devils. New Jersey is often called "Jersey" for obvious reasons. They put that on their jersey. I hope this clarifies things for you.
It's an alternate short for New Jersey I guess (the state not a new jersey their wearing)
🤣🤣🤣👍@@user-sl4bo4hh4c
You didn't really just ask that, did you?
Those are their new jerseys so they have put the word "jersey" on their jersey to indicate this. I hope this clarifies things for you.
Ну вернули долг Дьяволам Касатки за поражение дома.

почему тренер гнобит Кузьменко?
Because he thinks he isnt good at defense
Patterson kicked him in the back of his leg. Cheapshot.

Кузьменко опять не играл?
играл до середины 3-его периода
Daws looked slow out there. Wasnt his game
Canucks defence is still brutal, especially Myers. Aman isn't a friggin NHL calibers player either he looks lost out there.
