GM added key pieces and players have bought in to doing coaches staples. The success is fun and breeds more confidence. The players said they were tired of losing.
A healthy Thatcher Demko, an extremely competent backup in DeSmith, an almost complete overhaul of the D-core including getting Hughes an excellent partner in Hronek, adding several defensively responsible bottom 6 guys that also improved our depth and finding a 3rd line combination that has had magic unexpected chemistry, buy-in from our star players into Tocchet's system, and majorly changing the training and deployment of Boeser. And yes, a phenomenal coaching staff.
I just don't understand why DEMKO is not complaining about Tyler Myers kept on blocking the vision all the time. Instead of clearing the people in front of Demko, the giraffe is blocking Demko's vision. Tyler is like a horse with cover on peripheral vision. He never see the opponent beside him or behind him. he only follows the puck. Tyler get the hell out of the way!
Ive noticed something about the Canucks lately. They get out to a great lead, and then they seemingly play down to their opponent and let the other team slowly chip away and get it close to even. Maybe its something, maybe it's nothing, but if it's a habit forming then they need to address it.
