I use a 12in ruler and a tie wrap as a hinge off the return edge of the bucket.
I put peanut butter on the end of the ruler .It takes a bit of fiddling so the ruler resets to the start position after the mouse drops down into the bucket .I put a inch of water in the bucket to stop them leaping up .Not enough to drown the mouse just to give it wet fur .I let them go well away from the workshop.
Now that sounds like something I am going to try. 👍🏻 haven’t had that much fun in a while so hopefully I get some more mice soon. 🤣🤣 that sounds crazy right? 🤔
@@FarmsVillaThey are very fast learners .I quite like them but when they chewed through my cars wiring i went to war .Bacon rinde is another good bate.
@@rocklover7437 yeah I was blown away by how smart they actually are. I also don’t like killing them so release them far away from home. I will drop an inch of water in the bottom of the bucket next time to stop them jumping. Might need to keep it heated for them during the winter though. 🤣
@@FarmsVilla Rupert Sheldrake banned Ted Talk ( banned by TED ) talks about Lab Rats all over the World spontaneously getting smarter when Rats solve a trick in just one Lab .It's called the "collective mind" .All living beings have a collective mind and it's why dark forces of the last 3 years will never win .
My dustbin man commented on a small hole in the lid of my wheelie bin and said Rats .When i looked he was correct the hole was made by teeth .The next time i asked him is it common for bins to have this same hole and he said very common .So one Rat figured out the thinnest weak point of the bin but how did the rest find out ? ...Collective Mind.

We can bring you a couple of cats 🐈😂 Rocky is an excellent mouser and he also catches birds. Betty attacks anything that moves but that also includes dry leaves which she likes to bring you as a present. 😂
We have 2 cats. Both useless. 🤣 I had a blast catching the mice. Sadly they all seem to be gone now. 🙄🤣🤣

Grant is hunting moles and voles with his pole spear. He can't go snorkeling and catch dinner so he's taking it out on the rodents. Damn things killed every single zucchini plant last year. I really need to catch him on camera. 😆

Thankfully it was years before camera phones came about. In my younger more reckless life. 🙂
