    What would be fabulous is if a bike company gave you a bike trailer to review. Then you wouldn’t need to choose between packages and food.

    It's so sad when each story comes to an end. But what a great job you have done this week. You are getting some fabulous footage with the drone and it puts a few different dimensions on things.
    So excited about your little house. Great paint colour. I will work beautifully as a background for your shelving, bedding and bits and pieces. Well done Rosie. The new season dawns and I look forward to seeing what happens when spring has finally sprung!!

    “… how many people have been breathing on [the wallpaper] and putting their grubby little fingers on it.” 😆 I love it when Rosie gets a little spicy!
    Your drone footage, especially at the beginning, was truly extraordinary.
    It was amazing to see your possible strong reluctance at rejecting the warped wood. Sometimes I see your direct gaze at the camera and you’re a bit intimidating. Your wonderful competence at adventuring, long distance hiking, willingness to venture into the unknown, your woodworking skills, your CAD and interior design talents, your vision and energy make you an extraordinary woman. An extraordinary person. Full stop.

    Maybe something like the Ikea Hemnes daybed would be a nice option. When not being used for sleeping, it feels like a couch, and it works great for when you have a couple visit since it turns into a proper double bed. Also there is still storage left underneath. I have it in my tiny guest room/office and it really works well.

    • @shaishannahbennett8055

      They actually open into a king size bed not a double, as I have a Hemnes day bed, there are two single mattresses on it :-) They are lovely, but it may not be suitable for people who don't wish to share the same bed, but prefer their own single bed'

    • @allfortravel
      @allfortravel Рік тому +2

      @@shaishannahbennett8055 I think the sizes depend on the country. Ikea in Sweden won't have US size measurements. Mine for example is 2mx1,6m max. (in my country this is already considered as a double bed)
      And yes, it depends on the types of visitors. For my circle of friends and family "sharing" the pulled out Hemnes wouldn't be an issue or inconvenience at all. But, for sure, Rosie will decide on what works best for her and her potential visitors, thus I just suggested it as an alternative option.

    Hi Rosie xxx
    PLEASE... can you create a Swedish cabinet bed in your other little cabin... it'll provide storage underneath. You can add shelving inside the cabinet at the head and foot ends (and fill with lots of books), and if you make the outer wall/opening thicker, you can pop in some sliding doors too (like your toilet room).
    I'm obsessed with these cosy, nook beds, and I really think it'll add that authentic charm if you turn it into a holiday let (to earn some extra cash to fund your further projects).
    Regardless, loving your journey and can't wait to see more and more 💛

    I was wondering how you were going to fit all that in that space! Flexibility is key! 😊 Honestly I’ve loved all your paint choices up til now… I would have envisioned a more tranquil color for the bedroom space…maybe a light blue…or maybe even a light lavender but I love blue! To me the sand color is way too dark and makes the space look smaller…but I’m not there and that’s just me! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Aside from that it’s coming along so nicely. Love the idea of the desk/“kitchen”. 😊

    I am amazed that your paint adheres well during cold weather, especially over wallpaper. The previous owners of my home selected some unusual wallpaper that never appealed to me. I attempted to remove it and created a mess. Painting over it led to the edges lifting. Apparently our paints do not have the same adhesive formula. I am now considering utilizing thin wooden strips to create a design to camouflage the seams. It would be much easier and faster to paint over outdated wallpaper.

    Hi Rosie. Taking part of the wall down was a good idea it opens this small space up, I wouldn't even put a door in just a thermal curtain on a pole so your guests can divide the room if required and leaves ample room for accessible storage shelves. I like the sand paint, it's modern warmer mellow and divides the function's of each space in a subtle way. I guess any guests you may have would only be visiting during summer so that little rounded shelf with a water jug/bowl [maybe something matching and decorative] for simple washing use is ideal. Love the drone shots. Great channel.

    I know the feeling when things don't go the way you want. I'm going to put herringbone parquet in my kitchen. There was a concrete slab in the floor that I needed to remove. Filled the hole with boards and it didn't turn out well. I'm sitting now wondering if I should go and buy new wood and redo or try to improve what I've already done. I think I'll wash the windows instead.

      @galady8632 Рік тому

      I 'had' herringbone parquet in my Great Room - it was stunning. Seems when installed the threshold wasn't properly sealed and gradually water infiltration occurred. I thought I noticed a bit of difference in the floor but dismissed it due to working and caring for disabled parents. I stayed with them for several difficult months. When I returned home and unlocked the door it would not open - the floor had buckled. The entire floor was compromised - in a 1200 square ft room. I loved the look and feel of the herringbone parquet but I cannot justify it again anywhere near an exterior door. I am considering it for my Owner's bedroom and possibly the hallway.

    Hi Rosie, I love the color you chose. It is warm and very different from the trendy colors that everyone is using. I always pick colors that are not used by everyone else. Your color will go with anything you want to put with it. Good job.

    Rosie, really love these videos, you really are inspirational. I was thinking noooo I love the wallpaper but you prove us wrong and what a lovely colour. It’s going to be amazing when it’s finished. Have a great week!

    Hey Rosie, so happy to see another video 🤗 just watching the now but something came into my mind. I don’t know if you have heard of the channel “a girl in the woods “? But she is also very good. The reason im saying about her is that she puts these fire burners in to her cabins/tents and it seems really easy to do? It may be a solution to help heat your home till you get the chimney fixed? Have a look and maybe it would give you ideas for other things too possibly? Love your channel so much 💯🥰♥️♥️

      I know her! I think the space is almost too small to put in a wood burner? and mostly the roof sticks out so much beyond the exterior walls that the flue would have to go through the roof and it has roofing tiles and by the time that’s put in we’re a year later and no one really uses the space anyways, haha

    My suggestion is to use an Ikea LYCKSELE LÖVÅS sofa-bed. I live in a 15 sqm apartement and is a great option. Is cheap but have good quality. In literaly 5 seconds you can transform it so you have lot of space during the day and a nice Queen size bed for the night. The "cover" is impractical, just fold the bed with the blanket, works perfectly 😊
