Beware, a tattoo of the skull will be ALWAYS in your presence, thus needing to roll the cursed die at every roll!

Forgot to mention it when this was live - but to simulate the "odds and evens" on the curse die, I've been doing 'heads or tails' on a piece of 8 (silver coin).
Just to keep it thematic n what not lol

Can you explain the odds and evens thing?
When we were doing our session zero, we all went "damn, I want to get a cursed result!" so many times. 😅
@@davidrath7828 for the cursed die it recommends having the result in which you need to consult the curse chart for the oracles be on a 10 on a d10.
But a lot of people like the curse charts so much that they increase the odds to either a lower result (7,8,9,10) or odds and evens (odds 1,3,5,7,9. Evens (2,4,6,8,10)
Which is basically 50/50
So why not just make that a coin flip

I've done a few of the naval encounters and I think they work really well (although I've been doing skyfaring and my ship combats have been strictly oceanic). Can't wait to hear what you do with Sundered Isles!

Darn - I asked UA-cam to let me know when this went live and it didn't! (TBF, I was probably asleep at the time, so I'd still l have been watching the VOD. But it's the principle of the thing!) Also, tyvm for having a no-spoilers policy for your Starforged campaign - I'm a bit behind!
re: The Chattering Skull tattoo - I love the idea so much! To suit the intentions of it being stealable/destroyable - what if there was some sort of amulet (or earring or whatever) that let your character understand what the skull tattoo was saying? So if you lose your translator item, you can't really use the skull tattoo as an Asset?

Could be my bad, I had to start and stop the stream 3 times and then delete the scheduled one for various boring technical reasons. In short, I don't really know what I am doing...
Wish I'd been able to catch this live. The thing that comes to mind when you say skyfaring is a fun game for the Dreamcast called Skys of Arcadia.

i think it would create engage if you release a document with your settings truths, so people that want to play in a world like yours do it. Just a coffe thought. i´m gonna play a skyfaring one myself the moment i finish starforged ( that means maybe 1-2 more years xD ).

That's a cool idea! I might just throw up a google doc with the basics.
I'm also super interested in the sky-faring setting. One great idea for a setting that I got is from this game called 'Dauntless' by Phoenix Labs. It needs a bit of tweaking to fit the mechanics of Ironsworn, but it would be a great match for Sundered Isles and vice versa. Another novel idea for a Sundered Isles setting I feel would be that of 'Wildsea' by Felix Isaacs, it's a literal tree-top sailing adventure.
@yashvardhanagrawal1696 I think that the Wildsea setting is so unique and great, I’ll just play it in Wildsea. Which I plan to do later this year! Tree faring!

What do you mean when you say "podcast format"? I see people using it, but I'm not sure what it means.
@@YannMiollan I'm assuming they mean audio-only, available on other platforms like Spotify?
If you mean audio only, I'm afraid not. There are many ways for people to circumvent youtube and just listen if you want to do that and I don't begrudge anyone who does!
