G'day Paul. I had a wild swarm land in my garage about 3 months ago and so I was forcefully propelled into the world of bee-keeping. It was an absolute gift and I now have a thriving hive in my back yard. I can't begin to tell you how much I have learnt from your videos. Thanks for your contribution!

      G'day Seàn JUICY !
Thanks for sharing how you got into bees. So nice to hear how much you are enjoying the ride and happy we could help along the way.

      Wow!
You are getting lots of practice! I'll bet you made up a few new techniques along the way. So you had a big swarm year in your area too.

Another trick for swarms way up (30-50") in the air, throw 2 ropes over the top, pull a hive body (with floor) under the bees, use the other rope to sharp tug the branch. Bees will fall in and stay.
Caught many swarms this way in tall pines because other people can't get at them. Even won a couple bets with others watching.

Haha... I think you have more experience catching swarms than I do. That's a clever technique!

What did you mean when you said all 3 hives were super-seeded or superceded? Im not sure which you had said lol but i was just hoping for clarification

I have had 2 swarms out our 6 and another 3 wanting to swarm, keeping them pinned down by removing the swarm cells. But they're making them relentlessly..

Thanks for another great video Paul! I feel less guilty now as one of my two hives also swarmed this year despite all my efforts to give them enough space haha.

Our best efforts don't always keep up with our bees requirements. All we can do is try... Cheers!

It seems to be the year of the swarm here in Australia too, though we are still in the thick of it. Lots of winter and spring rain and blossom.

I just did my first swarm ever, one hell of a learning experience. I scooped into the box i had and left it there for a few days to try and keep the drones and leave no stragglers since it was soo small. Day three on the collection and im seeing new comb and growth very exciting. Moving to final location tonight
