Tanner, you're an asset to the leathercraft community. Posting leathercraft videos on YT is a time consuming endeavor. Thanks for giving us all an opportunity to learn from your experience.
i was scrolling my follow list and found your channel, and said to myself, lately, Claridge didn't post any video. after one hour, your channel poped on my phone screen. What a coincidence 😄 Welcome Back.
I love your videos, I really like watching more complicated builds like this as well! Glad to see you back. I’ve missed your no nonsense approach to your dialogue, to the point and you don’t repeat yourself a thousand times lol.
Thank you so much for your contributions to the leathercrafting community. While this bag is beyond my ability (and budget) I still enjoyed watching every minute of your tutorial.
Exceptional quality & master level craftsmanship. I appreciate your teaching gift as well. Once I start I will probably have some clarification questions. I am in Texas for the winter so my Consew is not with me. My stitching machine will be my hands. I need to watch the video a few more times to discover where I can attach/include my fish leather! Thanks a million. Worth the wait!
Well said TopoPilot. Thank you Tanner I am in Australia and have been leather crafting a short time (2 years). Your content is concise, and easy to understand. I look forward to making this "EPIC Satchel. Any videos you can point me to regarding the use of a sewing machine would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, Rick
Welcome back! Great video. Glad to hear you talk specifically about the leather size and temper. That is missing from so many how to videos. This came out with a very clean and sharp look. Very tough looking but keeping a sleek look. Thank you for sharing that pattern as well. What price would you set this bag at?
Man, I have been drooling over this since you dropped the sneak peeks a while back on Instagram. Really irritating I have a couple projects for actual clients in the way, I Can't wait to get stuck in making one for myself. A Great problem to have, to be sure 😅
Awesome! I really like your tutorials. They have helped with a few projects. Hope to see more content. But , keep the balance of life correct - God, Family and Country. Merry CHRISTmas!!!
Just like everyone else, I’d like to say that it is good to see your still at it and back to “the tube”. A couple of questions if I may; Are you still using the Palosanto edgers? Have they been of good service? Also, where did you find that stupendous roller? Pretty nice I must admit. Congratulations on this new bag, sure is a beast. I’m looking forward to tackling it sometime soon. Well hope you and the family are all doing very well, Merry Christmas and best wishes to you all in the coming new year! From the shadow of Mt Rainier over in Washington, God Bless!
Tanner - Another informative and amazingly well produced video. I've always enjoyed your videos and have missed them in my queue … Ironically, I just had an inquiry from a client looking for a bag like this - What are the dimensions of the bag's interior as I've got a laptop to fit ? This is a touch out of my wheelhouse as gunleather and buckaroo gear is the norm for me … CW Peterson Grass Valley, California; USA
I think it will come down to how much structure/body you want it to maintain. Thinner leather probably won’t keep the same structure, but I’m sure it will still be a great bag! It wasn’t too terribly heavy with the 6/7oz bridle.
Love this Bag! I'm wondering what sewing machine you use? I have a Paff 335 but I'm sure it cannot sew such thick leather (layers) or even handle such thick threads. What thread size you used? Viele Grüße aus Deutschland 😊
Beautiful work! I downloaded the pattern and tried to print it on my home computer with Acrobatic Reader but it won’t allow me to set the printer to print “Poster”. I took the pdf to Office Max and they want 68.00 to print it!! Also I can’t find 6-7oz Wickett and Craig Bridle leather, only 5.5-6. Will that work ok?
Oof, I’m sorry to hear that about the printing! If there is a smaller print shop in town, I worries check with them! That’s so much $$$! 5.5-6 will work great. Also, wickett and Craig will split for free if you order directly (just need to call them, but it takes a couple of weeks to receive it). Thank you for your support, sorry about that printing!
hey! both the design and the video is amazing. i have to add that below note you added to the pattern page made me purchase the pattern. well thought and well written :) quick note: it would have been great if the pattern pdf was A4 or letter size friendly. most people including myself prefer to print the pattern in our homes and stitch the A4 papers to create the big parts. --- From one creator to another: Please feel free to use this pattern for personal use (make it for your friends and family, etc). If you use it as inspiration for something you sell, I would challenge you to make it "yours" by altering the design to make it fit your own creative style. Can you sell the satchel as-is? Yes, you have my permission to use this copyrighted design to sell it from individual to individual (not mass-produced). But then go make your own design too! I promise it will be well worth it in the end. Have fun! -Tanner
Your work is stellar, however I think you're asking a lot for this pattern. I don't think Vasile and Pavel have any patterns this expensive, and they've been doing leatherwork for a LONG time.

What a build! Welcome back buddy! Can’t wait to try it!
Amazing Tanner!!
Thanks, Brandon! 👊
Can't wait to download the pattern and get started. Can you tell me what size thread you were using in your machine?
Thanks, Todd! I used 207 thread and size 23 LR needle- pretty much my standard. Have fun!
This is great!
I love your work and your teaching style…welcome back
Thanks, I appreciate it! Nice to be back… 😄🙏🏼
Great pattern and project. Good to see you back making videos.

I made your ruck sack two years ago. This might be a great project to get me back into it =D
So excited to get another video from you! You were a huge help when I was just starting out in leatherwork
Hello!! Glad to see you again!! Great pattern and video.
Hello, where have you been? Nice to see a new video from you!
Hey, thanks! Been doing the family and work thing, but really wanted to get this pattern out there! Cheers!
welcome back
Thank you! Nice to be back... :)
Gorgeous bag brother!

A Great problem to have, to be sure 😅
At last , Where were you Claridge, happy you come back. We miss you man
I bet me hand stitching this is going to take more than a few days, but once it's finished, it's going to be so satisfying
Very nice.

Absolutely Mint👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
What size needle and thread?
Many thanks regards Robert
Outstanding!
Thank you kindly, Scott!
Can’t wait to try this, how heavy did it come out? Thinking of trying it out at 3-4 oz with buttero to keep it light for my dad.
Thanks for sharing!

where do you sell your products?
Great to see you again Tanner. Your projects and videos are top notch.
Thanks so much! 🙏🏼
Nice to see you back after two years.
Is the pattern price of 51 bucks a typo?
Thank you! It’s $35USD, so maybe it’s $51 in Canada? Hopefully the pattern is worth it regardless of where you live. Cheers!
This bag is a tank.
What was the weight of the finished bag?

Thanks! Yep, I do have some free patterns and some that are an investment. My goal is to make it a high value investment. Cheers!
