Thank you Dan! I'd love to give you one! Like Scotty used to tell Captain Kirk on Star Trek; "Captain I've got no power."

Hi Roman; did you ever have any trouble in there with shoplifting?

@@KindredSoulsOfBrooklynSarasota Hiya , yeah we did in that particular store but I guess word got around that if you got caught that Key Food was going to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law , I personally believe there was a lot of shoplifting in that store because of two things , one was the location and second was those are the days of crack , and there was a lot of people so addicted to it that they thought Key Food was a easy target for some quick cash ,,,,, they'd like to steal certain spices like saffron that was off the wall expensive even for that time and sell it cheap to local restaurants , and the same thing with salmon ,,,,, it was a real experience ,,,, there was a old lady who'd come in talking to herself and steal cans of cat food and canned meat , not expensive stuff but stealing none the less , so I told the manager what I witnessed and he said to let her take it because it turns out she was a holocaust survivor and if you looked close enough you could see the number tattooed on her arm , so he / the store manager felt sorry that this poor woman went through all that and is now hungry in 1980s America , so anytime I saw her coming in I'd pretend I didn't see her lifting anything ,,,,,, that managers name was Dennis Roos and he was one of the best bosses I ever worked for ,,,, as fate would have it he was fired by the owner for giving away the cold cut ends to the homeless around the area ,,,, the boss said I'd rather throw them away in the garbage then to give them away ,,,, what a pos he was ,,,,,, so Dennis found another management job with a different supermarket chain , I went on to different pursuits , once I left the shoplifters returned and about a year later that Key Food store on metropolitan av closed down . 🤷‍♂️
