  • Good day folks I would like to take this time to talk about radio coax, The applications in using this as L coils and what the Velocity Factor means.
In short. Pure potential DC can pass first followed by RF current. I explain the reasoning. And hope to shed a light on what the Velocity factor can do for us. I wonder why a radio guy like Bedini never zeroed in on this effect.

I remember Bearden talking about this situation. He even shows somr drawings of what this looks like but he was talking about certain wires that had delays like this but very long. Not sure of the lenght though. So, your saying by coiling this coaxial this same effect can be achieved?

hundreds of feet, Thing is this stuff already comes in coiled spools of 500 1000 feet etc...

What is the velocity factor you’re full full of it

You lack brain matter and it shows. The velocity factor is a measure of how fast an electromagnetic wave travels through a specific medium compared to its speed in a vacuum (which is the fastest possible speed for light and other electromagnetic waves). Here's why it's not nonsense:
Basics of Wave Propagation: In a vacuum, electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light, which is about 300,000 kilometers per second (186,000 miles per second). However, when these waves travel through any material, whether it's air, water, or a cable, they slow down due to the interaction with the material's atoms and molecules.
Definition: The velocity factor (VF) is a ratio that compares the speed of the wave in a given medium to its speed in a vacuum. It's typically less than 1 because the wave always travels slower in any material than in a vacuum. For example, a VF of 0.7 means the wave travels at 70% of the speed of light in that medium.
Practical Importance: Understanding the velocity factor is crucial in designing and using communication systems, especially when dealing with cables like coaxial cables in TV systems or networking. Engineers need to know how fast signals will travel to ensure they arrive on time and with the correct timing, which is essential for maintaining signal integrity and performance.
Calculation and Use: The velocity factor is used to calculate the length of cables needed to match specific wavelengths, which is important for things like antennas and transmission lines. This ensures that the system operates efficiently and effectively.
Real-World Examples: Imagine you're setting up a home theater system with surround sound. The timing of audio signals sent through different lengths of speaker wires needs to be precise so that the sound reaches you at the right time. The velocity factor helps in determining the correct length of each wire to achieve this timing.
Physics Behind It: The slowing down of the wave is due to the dielectric properties of the material, which affects how the electromagnetic field propagates. This isn't just theoretical-it's observed and measured in countless practical applications.

@@joellagace1679my father mentioned ones a wire in a WWII plane, that was under severe investigation, later it became litz wire. And had special features. Something about the propeller and the maschinegun and timing.
      From litz to coax?

Nope. Show us something. A workable value would be interesting but you are not showing anything relevant
