Love watching your enterprise grow Dan. Proud of you! If your booth won't allow a live fire demonstration, perhaps you could set up a monitor or laptop playing a loop video of the fire pits in action so people could appreciate how cool they are. Good luck my friend!
Thanks OG Dick! Appreciate the support and for the idea, I might have to have a little clip playing on the laptop cuz yes you are correct...seeing them burn in person would be great! 🍻
Dan, the monitor and laptop was what I was thinking. The business cards to card readers all great ideas. Everyone likes something for free. Possibly have a free drawing. Maybe your product as a gift or maybe a free gift certificate with dollar amount to winery. That would be a win , win. Good luck. You got it !!!
Good luck with the sale - you should do well. Have plenty of business cards. You should showcase your sisters side hustle in a video - only fair. Stay safe.
Good luck at the venue. Don't forget to tell people they can use the mini wood for pizza ovens, BBQ, smokers, grilling. Even on a Weber type of charcoal grill, toss a few little chunks of cherry on the hot coals and get some extra flavor in the steak or burgers you are grilling. Lastly, how about some extra boxes of Mini-wood, already packaged, stacked in your vehicle, with a folding hand truck....just in case interest explodes?
Congrats on you New Adventure Dan, and I do hope you do Great. I myself am going to START next Year Selling Bundle Wood. Just planning now. Started Cleaning up around the Wood Pile yesterday. Did it for about 1&1/2hrs. Got tired came back in had pains in my both my Arms, wife called the Cardiologist and had to have Blood Work today and see him next Thursday. But at least got something done. Rest today, do Only 1hr, every other day. Good Luck with your Vendor Work this Weekend. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
If you are open for recommendations was thinking mini firewood bundles if you are able to burn multiple fire pits may help with sales when they can smell the differences in species last but not least mini mini firewood half the mini lengths and split to size
Hi Dan great to see that you are going to a show as a seller exiting this is for you. Can I give you a tip on how much to take with you Take as much that you can take and then double it because it a great product it better to bring some home than sell out you will be kicking yourself with lots of customers but nothing to sell.
Thanks MG...I asked my brother and he said about the same as what you did...bring as much as you can. His words were 'stack it high and watch it fly'....hahahahaha. Hopefully that's how it goes.
You did a great job by not touching any of those sticks of firewood. Had you done so you would have lost all your profit. You would have had to throw that piece out
Maybe think about using two mini racks to display the contents of a large box. That way people can get a better sense of how much wood is in there. Bill
Be sure to bring a credit card reader, for your cell phone, because most people will either pay by card or by check....few folks carry cash anymore! Best of luck!
It was one of those 7 degrees of separation cases...I knew a guy, who knew a guy, who had a friend, who knew a guy married to a gal who knew this other guy, that knew the guy. 🤷♂️🤣🍻
hi there just wondering if you have copy rights / patented the name mini firewood , might be something to look into . answer tomorrow night good luck and best to all john

Thanks! Hope all goes well next week with the Dr.
Dan , I have a friend that makes soap . He does his best at the wine tasting venues . The more the folks taste the wine , the more he sales .
lol...that makes sense, and also means it's probably best to stay to the end of the day when people have had plenty of wine samples...hahahaha

Having traveled with the craft fair shows I would carry as many boxes of wood as units you are taking. And plenty of business cards.
Plus a good box trailer
It's cool how you found your niche try getting into stores
Thanks...that may be the next step, however I would need to make sure I'm positioned to keep the supply up to meet demand.

He does TIE UP HIS TRACTOR though when he runs the Kindlet.
😂
With it being mini firewood each touch is really only like 1/3 of a touch. 😆
Its a great idea, is the wood heat treated? some places wont let you ship wood without it being heat treated.
Yep I'm USDA certified and all mini firewood is heat treated per the USDA requirements. 👍
@ nice

Yep I have a Point of Sale card reader that runs off my website.
How did you go about finding a guy to kiln dry for you and what does it cost? Trying to find a guy in my area.
It was one of those 7 degrees of separation cases...I knew a guy, who knew a guy, who had a friend, who knew a guy married to a gal who knew this other guy, that knew the guy. 🤷♂️🤣🍻

Hi Dan QQQ Are you going to live Stream Tomorrow 👍
Yep will have Friday night live and then not sure if I'll have signal to stream from the show or not.
Make sure your wife is there you'll sell out quick
I'm starting to think you're going to lose your hobbyist title!
lol...well not sure about that. I think that might stick with me for awhile.
Damn this is a rip off!!
🤣😆🤣
Damn you are very far from a hobbyist these days!
