To explain what happened in the 4th cutscene, Classic sonic snd tails found mario and yoshi in the way they were. Turns out there were fighting over breakfast cake. Tails suggested to get them repaired before others arrive, notibly Wario as he said while Wario doesn't care about their health he would be upset not getting the money because of the two being withered. I love how you can tell the difference between the withered footsteps and toy footsteps since the toy's seem like metal and the withered's are normal (theyre clones)
