The Star vs AFO+Shiggy fight is still 1 of my favorites just seeing this animated was crazy, also i just remember...best girl returns next episode!

So, what happened was that Star essentially hit ShigarakiAFO with a trojan horse, a virus that activated as soon as he "downloaded" new order. The plan for Star was to destroy him from the inside. The reason her quirk could not be passed on to someone else was because AFO was too late. I liken it to that of an immune system: like an immune system fighting an unknown/hostile substance, AFO's innumerable quirk factors fought back and destroyed New Order before it could destroy them. So, he is left with no new order and many quirk factors destroyed instead.

I honestly love how everything worked out so well in the end. Even though it sucks that she died, I love the fact that she made sure that no-matter what, Shigaraki would never be able to get his hands on New Order.
It's funny you mentioned if only Star damaged his regen quirk cause she actually did. In the manga, it was revealed in a volume extra that after this fight, Shigaraki's regen was damaged and stopped working properly. However, he yoinked a near high-end nomus regen sometime after to fix that, and his regen was good as new.
OF COURSE HE DID!!! Why am I not even surprised? 🤣 I love Shigaraki but him being able to heal off every attack they throw at him is so busted man

Yeah I agree. Last episode I knew they left us on a cliffhanger for a reason but I'm glad she didn't die in vain at least

At first I was disappointed...then came the massive surprise that she went in him as a trojan horse. Star and Stripe definitely hits top 3 for the best fights in MHA with that level of display when it comes to Intellect, Reaction, Strength and Core Values. She knew she can't live in that fight and chose to do what was probably the world's saving grace.
She came, made the most impactful statement with actions and words and left, still a badass Hero and will still be America's No.1!
Though it would be amazing to see if somehow Star manifests inside OFA (Even if it's without New Order and just her, which would be sick ig)
