  • In this Double Take video from the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Barzilay
    reviews the range of acute heat-related illnesses, including their symptoms,
    complications, and management. Risk factors associated with increased
    morbidity and mortality from heat-related illnesses and strategies for primary
    care clinicians to reduce risk are also examined.

    This is a great informational video for clinicians on how to approach heat and address it in their practice as well as through advocacy and policy work. Thank you NEJM and all involved in this, especially Dr. Barzilay and Dr. Sorensen. I will certainly be using this in my climate education sessions with trainees.

    You’d reach more people if you delete the first minute and republish it.
    Historical accuracy and the accounting of world temperatures turns off some patients, and you really want to keep their attention so you can support them.
