I wonder if Adam Sandler created this game while he was stuck in LA traffic. Join this channel to get early access to some videos, bonus content, and a monthly podcast: / @markscapino
Honorable Mention: They used traffic sound effects from the song “Summer In The City” by the Lovin’ Spoonful. The song was a hit back in 1966 but they used sound effects of traffic noises which was the inspiration for “Gridlock” as a pricing game.
Actually, the game plays similar to Penny Ante, which in ways should've been listed here. Considered it is like Penny Ante for a car in reality & condensed.
I considered that similarity, but in Penny Ante you have two separate items and need to know the price of each; here, it's parts of a single car price. Penny Ante will definitely get a mention with an upcoming video, though.
I haven't seen the price is right in years to be honest, I think it's because when I first started watching with Drew Carey I just wasn't a fan of him. He's no Bob Barker. I'm sure the show is popular with people who never grew up with Bob but after seeing him, I can't really stand Drew as host much.
Even though I haven’t watched TPIR regularly in 15 years, something about this game reminds me of a dream I had in the 90s about moving cars.

I saw this game live when I went to the show back in 2018, some of the earlier playings of the game I saw live which was cool!

Gridlock - The last game to debut before the Covid 19 Pandemic.

Contestants get fooled by the el cheap trick
Gridlock is cool. 😀👍
The final pricing game with Gwen Osbourne-Smith, whom retired 2 months after the game was developed.
I'm rather 'meh' on this one; I prefer Money Game
I like to think of Gridlock as Money Game 2.0
I call it Add ‘Em Up 2.0
What is the win/loss record for this game?
what kind of Lexus are we talking about that's worth almost $100K?
I hate the sound effects of the game.
