- Mark Hughes selects his all-time XI from the players he's managed and it doesn't disappoint...
Natalie Pike hosts, as Big Sam is alongside Mark to discuss the players, including a few they've both worked with.
The team includes players from Manchester City, Stoke City, Blackburn Rovers and Wales.
WHAT A TEAM!

Tugay - he was ridiculously good. It was a pleasure watching him.
Am i the only one whos surprised Mark didnt mention Morten Gamst Pederson 🤔 he was unreal for a number of years
What a manager Hughes was for Rovers. Took us to 6th and 7th in Premier League on a very small budget. Also got us through the group stage of the UEFA Cup which we’d never done before.
Would you have him back?
And they were playing pleasing on the eye, exciting football - the way it should be played!
5:54 Tugay played his last game on 24 May 2009 and Nzonzi was signed on 30 June 2009 so no idea what Sam is talking about here
Tugay was at Glasgow Rangers.... UNBELIEVABLE
Class player, and very adaptable.
Yet Rangers hardly gave him a game and preferred Barry Ferguson, which is absolutely absurd. Went on to become a Premier League cult hero and a legend regarded in the same bracket as Shearer at Blackburn.
I had a signed shirt with both Tugay and my football hero, Mark Hughes, on it. But I went through a no-fault eviction and we lost half of our possessions. Including my shirt signed by the 2005/6 team and Sparky. Breaks my heart.
Brad Friedel is so underrated
Underrated and forgotten because of who he played for. Arguably the best keeper in the Premier League at one stage.
Absolutely. He was immense.
Ryan Nelsen was arguably the best defender in the league for a period. Same with Friedel being the best goalie for a season or two. Anyone that has played with or managed Tugay puts him into these teams.
Nzonzi is one of the most underrated midfielders of the modern PL era. Absolute Rolls Royce of a player
He isn’t even in the same hemisphere as Tugay mate. Believe me. I’m a Blackburn fan
@@FannyShmellarhe improved tenfold with us so you didn’t exactly get the best N’Zonzi. Also won a World Cup
@@olliewalton361 He wasn’t in Tugay’s league, lightyears away. Tugay had a gift from God.
You're right he was at stoke city
Tugay what a legend 🔥
I saw Tugay play vs Villa in 2001 he really was a class apart that day.
Natalie Pike
The loveliest lady in football
Mark - would have you back at rovers any day (Bburn)
Id of thought Hughes might of picked a x11 consisting of
Friedel
Zabeleta Nelson kompany Speed
Bentley Tugay Giggs Pederson
Bellamy Tevez
Honourable mentions to Anartovic, Mccarthy, Santa Cruz, shakiri, bojan and Paul Jones.. and maybe even Danny Gabbidon.. also Speed played LB a number of times for wales when required and could play any outfield position such as his professionalism
I love MGP, but he wasn't top class. Bentley is a decent shout (loved him too). Bellamy was absolute fire when he wasn't injured at Rovers. To me it was his best season and his goal output compared to the rest of his career backs that up too.
Tugay was one of the best players to ever grace the Premier League.
Stephen Ireland in that city team was unplayable

❤❤❤❤
Within the talent and physical power Tugay would play biggest clubs in europe if he was not Turk
4:08 Tugay
Stephen Ireland is in his team but Gary Speed isn’t?
Think he only chose people who are alive
Hughes couldn't even pick a best 11 at Bradford. His ultimate 11 in practice are 11 players that don't question his tactics and are happy being played out of position. Dinosaur manager.
Dude, you do not know more about tactics than Hughes.
Even Guardiola plays players 'out of position'. It's modern football, not dinosaur football. Granted, I prefer (dinosaur) football from two/three decades ago than football now, but there you go.
The irony of this called tippy tappy with big Sam 😂
It's called NO Tippy tappy football btw...
Don’t worry Mark - I hear Salford are looking for some past it Manager to come guide them into relegation by playing slow, negative football that is some joke of an attempt to emulate Pep. Don’t forget when you sign to give some past it player in their late 30s an 18 month contract - you gotta lick after your mates and that football agent son of yours!
I never knew tugay was gay.....suppose its in the name......wonder who the one he had in the toilet was
Lol that's a British term for a cigarette....he'd have a smoke at half. 😂
lmao i never laughed that hard
No Bellamy? Hughes, how dare you!!!
