    Cycle of society:
    Tytler said the cycle starts out with a society in bondage. Then it goes in this sequence:
    From bondage to spiritual faith;
    From spiritual faith to great courage;
    From courage to liberty;
    From liberty to abundance;
    From abundance to complacency;
    From complacency to apathy;
    From apathy to dependence;
    From dependence back into bondage.
    Alexander Tytler [was] a Scottish historian who lived at the same time as the American Founding Fathers, [and] described a repeating cycle in history. He had found that societies went through this same cycle again and again, and that the cycle lasted roughly 200 years each time.

    Amazing thing about Firas is not his knowledge in philosophy +combat sports, but how he takes all those references and puts them into a context and applies that to real life. We’re all posting some philosophical stuff nowadays but to recognize the global path and the correlations between the elements of life is a real virtue. Props to the other guy as well, it’s not an easy issue to extrapolite Firas ideas to another domain if you’re not a combat sports practitioner. One last word - of course (Brazilian) Jiu-Jitsu changed my life as well and I’m grateful that our paths crossed.

    His entire mindset is Islam!
    If you know... you know!
    -Steadfast (In the face of any and all adversity)
    -Righteousness (especially when nobody is looking)
    -Discipline (to be unceasing in your battle against your base desires)
    -Truth (Even as a witness against yourself)
    I’m not a combat sports connoisseur it seems to me like Islam is essentially the Jujitsu of religions!

      your ego is riveting...fyi such virtues are present in all religions and general rules of conduct any good society should follow...I could insult your comment so easily but I won't...just remember life is bigger than what you know..there is more to the world than what you've seen or heard...you can't make comments that you just made unless you've studied and lived all other religions.. otherwise you're nothing more than a fanatic...and we have fanatics every Sunday for football too
