In the early 70’s I had the pleasure of seeing Yes in concert. In 2021 I stumbled upon Awaken the Band on utube. Thank you for bringing it and putting a smile on my face. You are an amazing band with an awesome sound!
Saw these guys last night at Broad Brook Opera House in CT Absolutely incredable talented musicians. If you are a Yes fan they have to be one your bucket list. All of them spot on every note. Only possible bad thing I could say is they didn't play Big Generator ( 1 of my top 3 Fav Yes songs) everything else simply awesome
I thought Tim Wardle was the closest thing to Anderson's unique voice. He may be. This guy is very good though. It's what makes a YES cover band really authentic.
Very impressive! Only serious musicians need apply! Most bands won't touch YES music...at least none of their earlier stuff- too complicated for them! Kudos!
Missed these guys a while back at the Mauch Chunk Opera House, I think because I had never heard them, or OF them before. I definitely will NOT miss them on their return June 3. Based on their videos, I'd put them right there with Get the Led Out for the best tribute bands I've seen or heard. A big difference is GTLO has six players to get Zep's studio sound (not a criticism, as they sound incredible), and these guys do it with five. Can't wait!.
I was just thinking the same thing, having seen the “other jon” perform a few years ago with the “other” yes band. Just found this Awaken band from a FB Yes Fan page discussion a few days ago. I’m still reeling in the talent of these dudes. OMG. My first thought, and this no BS, was that these guys were lip-syncing to a Yes album!!! It’s just too perfect! Of course, that was NOT the case. I have never seen a “tribute” so spot on. Hope they’ll be playing somewhere near us someday, would LOVE to see these guys LIVE. Thanks for your comment. Wholeheartedly agree.
Sounds excellent, but loses a point on presentation; there doesn't seem to be any engagement with the audience and there is little presence/personality/charisma/stardust in the performance. But it is the sound that really matters and it is good to know that the music is in good hands 😺
Excellent! Awesome musicians, but, you couldn't be any more boring. No stage presence whatsoever. The lead singer with his thumb in his pocket and tapping his toe is not interesting to watch. That stage is yours, get out there and own it! Interact with the crowd.
I can't believe anyone would even try this one... incredible!!!!
Wow far better than what they are calling YES today!
Sad but true....
That's a fact.
Lies
@@hpatss4966 go home hpatss, you're drunk.
unfortunately I agree
Bass tone is insane. Well done.
It needs more of the thundering bass we used to get with Chris.
@@josephdurbin8736 Sura and the glissandos he used to play !!
Unbelievable job covering this. I wore out 2 8 track tapes of this album, a long time ago.😁
Keep this music alive! The world needs it!

Same here. Saw Yes in the 70's and it was an outstanding concert. This is an excellent replication. Well done.
The musical love and attention to detail shine through in this stellar performance of a YES masterpiece.
I must have been living under a rock not to have seen these guys on UA-cam until now. Oh well, better late than never, right?
You guys are so good! I can't believe the talent.
Nailed everything, tone, etc... great job! Amazing work
Solid rendition of an all time great masterpiece
Incredible.....just incredible. Loving you guys.

What an awesome job...I've always wanted to be in a band like this and I have to admit I'm a bit jealous...cheers you guys...
Wow .I've been a YES fan for over 55 years . They are better than the so called YES touring .
Amazing Keyboard work
¡¡Fabulosooo, brillante..!!!
Comin' to see you fellas... truly amazing. CTTE, Heart of the Sunrise, Awaken... superb. Thanks!
The bass player is extraordinary
Wow! Just wow! You guys are amazing!

Love the jazzy ending. What a great rendition!!!
Magnificent.

One word....Beautiful
That was freaking awesome!
Awaken = AMAZING !!! What an Amazing rendition of CTTE ..... Bravo !!!!
Freaking amazing, guys. Wow!
Fantastic!!!
It was a wonderful performance that showed deep respect for the original album. And the vocalist, Uncle, is fantastic! ~From Japan
You got this done live so spot on
Great job! My last band had a blast playing this and others as well. I know exactly how much work it takes, BRAVO!
Excellent from every one of these musicians-you each nailed every part vocally and instrumentally
Omg the vocals 😮
THAT IS ASTONISHING!!@
You guys were great. Glad you made it to Utica and hope you return!
Might be the best Anderson cover voice I've yet heard. Great cover!
I didn't know Andrew Zimmern could play keys!
Benoit David clearly the best Anderson, but Ron Alonso is also excellent. These two guys stand head and shoulders over the others.
@@danlum304 I'd have to say it's a tie. I could have sworn I was listening to Jon Anderson.
@@mutantplants1 Ron's tone is a little sharper than Jon and Benoit's, but we're all on the same side right?
@@danlum304 Right. It's all great stuff.

Love this !!
This is outstanding!! Nice job!
It'd be hard to improve up that, fellas. Excellent!
Please come to the UK
You guys really need to be doing a uk tour
Excelente muchachos!!! Geniales!!!
Wonderful. An honest replication of the spirit of the original, with room for some new improv. Yeah! Why not?
another awesome cover.
Outstanding

Fleeping Awesome!!!
veery well done...
Fantastic!!! where are you guys from. do you tour
Great job all around
WOW!
Unfortunately here in the Gooberland south we'll never get to see these guys
lol
Somebody get Ron a tambourine. For Jon Anderson it wasn't just a prop, he actually enhanced many Yes songs with his play.
Wow!
Deffo see u soon x
Totally agree amazing band the yes today is dreadful keep up the great work
The Stanley! Saw many groups there Rush, Cheap Trick, Eddie Money, the sound system is the best.
Very Close!
Not bad at all. Vocals are EXCELLENT.
Wow! Maybe you could give some lessons to the guys currently touring as YES!
great
"Look Ma, I can do all this with only two keyboards in my rig!" (yes, this is to be taken as a compliment!)
MAN THAT SOUNDS YES SURREAL..STEVE HOWS YES IS WACK...
Much better vocals than Jon Davidson, sounds more natural, well done!
I think Jon Davidson sings in the tribute Yes band. These guys are Yes in the 2020's. Great energy, bass and electric guitar, vocals .....my god!

How did you record the sound for the video? Is it a "soundboard" recording or is it recorded from out in the audience?
The audio is from the board.
Roger dean xx band member x
Lead needs a Cymbal. Drummer needs a bigger Kit. Awesome none the less!
Wonderful xx but come on lads a long wig on the keyboard guy ? Lol 😂

I don't think the singer should go wandering off and around the stage like he's having a day off at the seaside...
