Quick tips for the N5 tommorow guys!
Dont forget to place any measurements after answers e.g if a question was using metres put M after the answer
For paper 2 use your calculator for every equation big or small, even 1+1 just do it. Its so easy to mis type a number during an exam and not notice even if you calculated it fully correct in your head.
If you are cram studying right now just spam questions over questions dont write notes on question types as if its history
Make sure your calculator is not on RAD mode but is on degrees looks like D
If you arent confident working with negatives, watch a tutorial online some give easy examples.
If you dont know the correct answer mid way equation just place a answer which you think is correct and continue on with the equation as normal as if nothing happens (sometimes sqa will notice this and give you the mark still for knowing how the question process is done
If your answer is "1" or "1x" switch it to just x
Thanks for this very helpful

@@ClellandMathsthe teachers at my school are refusing to teach us trig identities and trig bearings, do I need to know them for the exam?
@@slowedndreverb You need to know them There will usually be maybe 1 question on trig identities about 2 marks and maybe bearings for 3 or 4
@@ClellandMaths thank you!

this has been so helpful i am forever grateful 😀😀
Good Luck
Men deadly vid keep it up men
This will be very useful for my math test , thank you sir!
Great!
How did it go guys? I personally couldn’t do 16 question, and after finishing the exam realised my terrible mistake in the question with a volume of a clear glass, I just forgot to half a sphere volume😢. But overall it was really easy, if I didn’t do anymore silly mistakes, I think it’s an A
So helpful sir - thank you! Do you have any general tips for the 2024 exam?
Yes take your time, make sure you watch videos, take notes try questions first, then brush up on any topics you not comfortable with. Good luck
Hi thanks fo this it's great!! I have a question, at 33:33, would you put P=3T+5 for it simplified?
No that would not be simplified as you havnt divided the P by anything
@@ClellandMaths ohh!! Thank you :D
is there anyway you can make a video on the whole of quadratic graphs if it is possible because your other individual videos have been really helpful and struggling with that type of stuff.
I’ll try my best to
Hey mr clelland i just wanna ask what percentage of the course will be in the exam like is it possible that there is one of these topics left out?
Every topic will be in but won’t ask every subtopic
thanks man
Omg Ashwag I'm a big fan I didnt know you were doing n5 as well that'd crazy
1:24:06
what happened to the 1/2 and the 2 thats in front of the (x+5) bracket
1/2 x 2 = 1
I'm cooked
same bro
Hey see on the volume question at 1hour 55 mins why did you put 40 and 90 into each equation twice is it because there’s two bases on each side?
The base is a square, so need to do area of the base.
36:33 would i be able to change 3/2 into 1.5? I still got the same answer for part b
Yes
Hello. In time stamp 2:17:00 how do you identify if its isosceles or not ?
Radius and radius so 2 sides the same
@@ClellandMathsthank you
22:05 will you still get mark if you multiply the bottom bracket?
Yes you will there’s just no need to though
for the indicies question at 13.58 could you not put the final answer as 3ato the power 4.5
Usually fraction but should be ok
This is going to save me
That was a relatively easy paper
whos passing n5 with me this year?
Not me
@@sungjinwoop2143 so real🎀
🙂↕️
Hopefully me
Me haha
7:15 would it not be 20000 x 0.89 x 0.83^2, as it says it’s a *further* 6%
Just curious, as that’s how I’d taken it
I see what you’re saying with the wording of the question but no, it’s just standard 0.89 for the 11% the 0.94 for the 6%.
@@ClellandMaths ok thank you!
do you have any tips for the exam, mines on friday?
Coming from someone who had to retake N5 maths this year, when you’re going into the exam just try to keep calm. The worst thing you can do is overthink all your answers. Also for today and tomorrow just keep revising as much as you can and you’ll hopefully feel prepared for the exam on Friday! Last years papers were not good at all so I’ve got my fingers crossed for a good and fairly easy paper for this year! Good Luck! And if you have any other questions just ask me here :)!
I’ll be making a exam technique video tomorrow
you are the reason im gonna pass nat 5
Fr 💀
Don’t worry you will slay this!
how many marks will be in the 2024 exam
Around 100
sir see if b^2-4ac is = 0 what is the comment i should make
2 Real and Equal Roots
I thought if it was equal it was one real root and if it was greater than zero it would be 2 real and distinct roots
Let’s pop this in 2x
What topic has the highest amount of marks in exams usually
No one topic. Often large question on bearings or quadratics
what about ratios
Ratio is not part of N5 maths it’s part of apps
I’m so bad at math im so overwhelmed 😓im gonna fail this exM
Have faith check video description for topics start with what your good at and work from there
Did someone pass?
No I didn't
Who’s here on the Day of the test 💀
What are essential topics that are worth a lot of marks?
