This is not a successor to G30 but to failed P100S. Mine P100S is still 7th month in Segway service as they still do not have parts. And yes, issue is broken front fork on my P100S, thats why that ZT3 has a different front fork. As you didn`t mention P100S even once, it is clear that Segway asked you to not mention failed product. So Pros of ZT3 against P100S - Spring suspension is much better than steel tube torsion bar used on battle tanks and P100S. Suspension didn`t do anything on P100S Bad things that they didn`t change - Brakes are same as on P100S. They do last about 300km before need to adjust. And about 1500km before you need to replace brake pads for 20USD. G30 brakes lasts around 1500km before adjustment, and 5000km before replacement. - Rear fender is the same falling off fender as on P100S. It would fail again. You just ride of a curb once and it is broken. When it is broken and moving it starts to unscrew your rear wheel due to vibration. - Deck is short and uncomfortable compared to G30. - Front fender is even worse than on P100S, and your feet would be wet durring the rain. - Alarm, only way to turn it off is via the app. Goes on when you put it in the car, goes on when you move it in your flat. Button on handlebars to activate and deactivate would be much better. Automatic unlock via blutooth proximity would drain your battery, it is a bad solution. - Walking mode. Few times I was on 3 lane intersetion and accidentally pushed wakling mode. And you can`t turn it off in movement. Only way to turn it off is to stop. So I ran through intersections with 50 cars honking behind me. - Best thing of P100S was 1200Wh battery. But with 600Wh on ZT3 you would have a range of 20km on a full speed. So overall ZT3 is not replacement gor G30. ZT3 would require maintanance every 300 km. G30 require maintanance every 1500km. For me that means fixing every month or 2 times per year. To add I have ridden 16000km on two G30s and 3000km on P100S
Incredible feedback thanks! I’ll read through all of this. They never mentioned the P100S. We tried and tried and tried to get one because so many people were curious about, but never got one. The P100S costs 50% more, so we would put that one in a different category. We also generally don’t talk about scooters we haven’t tested because we don’t know what we don’t know and your post is a great example of what we didn’t know. -Paul
@@Teapode thing I dislike about Segway is fix ability. Segway is like Apple when it comes to fixing yourself. You have to send the scooter in. Nothing is plug n play. Everything is soldered.
I asked them about this when the GT2 came out (it's strangely a 52V scooter which competes against 72V scooters on acceleration). They do it for safety. There’s a general idea that sub 60v is safe when exposed (crashed and broken open), and since 60V scooters go well beyond 60v when fully charged, they won’t do scooters which are 60V nominal. -Paul
@@mikehagquist5198 25 isn't fast, but for most people it wouldn't be slow either. I have a Wolf King GT Pro and I rarely go above 30. And for anyone used to a Bird type scooter that goes 15-18, 25 would feel pretty quick.
Do we all remember when the scooter was a toy made by children with scrap wood? Remember doing downhill races with your friends? Wait, remember when your brother had the idea of putting an old lawnmower motor on it!? Guys this is why it's important to take away your children's phones, and insist they go outside and be hellions for at least three hours of the day. This is where new inventions come from.
Great review Paul and thanks for mentioning the weight. I'm definitely against the this trend of heavier scooters with relatively small 597Wh batteries but I'll trust Segway did their market research and the price certainly helps. In form, this scooter reminds me at lot of the VMAX VX4 with single motor, similar weight and speed, the main difference being that VMAX allows you to pay more and get a larger battery based on range requirements. While the limited range makes this one a no-go for me, the other big issue is with this model's 25mph speed, the same thing that kept me from purchasing the VX4. Models like the Cruiser S for example (even the previous gen) have the option for 31mph speeds, even if you don't use that speed all the time. I question the Off-Road moniker as this doesn't really appears to be the ZT3's strong suit without dampened coil springs and swing arms but hey, there's a semantic element at play. As you stated, the ZT3 appears to be competing with Max G2. It has better suspension, a slightly larger battery, it's faster, and has all the contemporary looks and app tech. It has the appearance that it should compete with dual motor sport scooter but is priced to go after the tech commuter scooter segment while asking them to look the other way when it comes to size and weight.
Looks very nice ESG! Tho it reminds me more of something closer to the P100 and P65 models! If you check them all 3 side by side you will i am right. Much love from Greece! :)
Great input. Thanks for asking. I didn’t compare it to the P100S because the prices are so different. Also the P100S didn’t sell very well here so not that many people are familiar with it, where everyone knows the MAX G2. I can’t remember why I didn’t compare it to the P65. I think it was lack of suspension. Thanks so much for your support! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Yeap you right there Paul the P100s price is much higher and the P65 does not have suspensions. I see it more of an upgrage of the P65 you guys know very well companies do this a lot more and more stuff on the scoot for the same or better price. The battaries cost have drops those last years also so what why i say this. :)
I tried to get that version while I was doing testing for the review. When did you update? I checked for new firmware the morning of the speed test and the app updated me to 1.7.6 but wouldn't give me 1.11.1 I even re-checked again after updating to 1.7.6 and it said that I was up to date. :-( I read on Reddit that Segway offered 1.11.1 for a while and then pulled it back. I've checked a few times since and it was still 1.7.6 only. -Paul
I’d like to see reviews of scooters with 500 - 1000 miles of use on them. Just like reviews of smart phones and computers, everyone reviews new and out of the box when everything is great. The real quality of any product shows after being put thru real world use not when you first turn it on. Id be curious to see how higher priced Segways hold up in comparison to their lower priced competition, after months of real world use.
this could have been such a beast as a dual motor... You have dual motors that are much lighter than this... Hope you can review the Climber soon and maybe compare it to the Apollo go...There is a promotion on the Climber in my country for 2 weeks more, and I am really hesitant to get one... Anyway great review by Paul as usual
Thank you so much! I'm literally sitting in my car post-range test crunching data on the Climber right now! I just took a break from data analysis to check comments! We will have an Inmotion Climber review for you in a week or so. Spoiler alert, we've tested 100 sub $1k scooters on the same test hill. The Climber does extremely well vs price on the 10% grade ESG test hill. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Amazing Paul, you are really a huge asset for ESG, I have seen other reviews from other channels but those from ESG and those from you in particular are on a whole different level. That's why I wait for ESG reviews before buying. I own a Boosted Rev, which is still great, but it's now 5 years old and the range is even lower than it used to be. I got a Chinese clone of the Rev (Maxfind, don't know if you'll ever review that) which is not bad, but for reliability I think a reputable brand will last much more, so Apollo or Inmotion (or Ninebot) are clearly reputable brands (the Go seems better overall, but the Climber should be lighter and has local service while with I have no Apollo dealer in my country so I need to import and be on my own for repairs). One last thing, no youtube channel mentions what I consider a very important element, tire width. They only mention tire size. But I have learn that width is critical for safety. For instance the Rev is 9in and 3in wide, the Maxfind is 10in and 3.5in wide, the GO I only know it's 9in, but is it 2in or 2.5in wide? The Climber, no idea... That would be a very useful info to add.
Hi, great review, thanks for putting on screen the metric conversions (km/h) for us international viewers 👍 would be nice to convert weight and others too; this model looks nice! and with competitive price and specs; I own a Max G2 and has been great so I see this and imagine the updates that the maybe upcoming Max G3 could have, like new battery and motor, bigger and brighter dashboard, the more ergonomic controls, better front light and some others and looks so exciting like my almost perfect scooter in the way, cheers
Thank you so much! We’re always in such a rush getting these videos out the door (sometimes until midnight the night before) that we still forget to do as much metric as we should. Regular reminders are helpful! :-) Have you heard rumors of a MAX G3 already? Since it took 4 years from G30 to MAX G2, I’ve been thinking we’ll have the G2 for a while, but I could be wrong. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Great work! Keep on! Not rumors at all, but thinking in the posibilities because this is so different that the G2 but in the price range and the others brands are moving, I would like a G3 in one year from now maybe two, a 4 years cycle seems a lot now, cheers 👍
G2 got temporary boost mode too in the latest firmware. It accelerates very nicely. I wonder how these two would compare with the boost mode enabled on G2
Unfortunately that version 1.11.1 seems to have been pulled by Segway. I updated our MAX the morning I did the speed runs and the newest version the app would give me was 1.7.6 I checked again immediately afterwards and the app still insisted nothing newer was available. Then I saw on Reddit that they had probably pulled 1.11.1 I'll re-test the G2 again at some point if the re-release 1.11.1 -Paul
@@Eugene.Golubev I got the update with boost mode too and makes good difference to start hard and acelerate to short hills that are common here, so it get up my experience with the G2 but I would like something with some more power to keep up with cars in hills
Wow, this review told me everything I need to know about the Segway Ninebot ZT3! Thank you so much. I have a Segway Ninebot MAX G2 now and was trying to figure out if I upgrade to this or maybe get a scooter from NIU. Thank you so much. This was so helpful.
For a scooter advertised as being for off road use I’m disappointed about the ZT3’s single rear shock. Battery capacity and voltage are probably best described as adequate when updating from a G2 Max. The front break rotor leaves a bit to be desired. I’m considering the play now being shown in the telescoping front fork of my G2 Max as my main reason for wanting to update to the ZT3 pro. G2 still feels perfectly acceptable to ride but it seems it has just barely been able to keep up with handling what the root mounds and bumps along my bitumen bike paths have been throwing at it over the last 1600 or so kilometres. This model seems to be the perfect upgrade path for me. 👍🏻
Thanks for watching and for your insights on your MAX G2 vs the ZT3 Pro! The fork on the ZT3 Pro has 40mm of travel, by the way. I measured it and even photographed the measurement... and then forgot to put it in the video! -Paul
I always enjoy your reviews, thanks. I'm slowly shopping a full suspension scooter, the zt3 would probably be a bit too heavy, I want lighter and a bit easier to stow in the trunk. I'd like to see you do a review of the Hiboy max Pro, it's 48 volts, 52 pounds, and has full suspension. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for watching and for the suggestion. I don't think we have any Hiboy scooters coming soon, but the more you ask the more likely we are to review it! For example, I'm testing the Inmotion Climber today because so many people requested it. It took 6 months for me to get my hands on one, but here it is, and they're not lying about the climbing ability! I'll go have a look at the Hiboy Max Pro specs and also check to see if we're in touch with Hiboy scooters these days. Thanks again. -Paul
The highest speed for any country is the ~25mph limit that this one has. If you were to somehow hack it so there was no speed limited I predict that it could hit about 38mph in boost mode. But I don't think it's possible to actually completely unlock it. -Paul
I was surprised I got more range than their spec for Sport mode! I covered 20.5 miles in Sport mode to their estimate of 18.6 miles (though they say that's at max speed). If I rode this side by side with the Ninebot MAX G2 and went MAX G2 speeds I think it would get the 26.6 that the Ninebot MAX gets, but this is a much faster scooter, so range gets penalized. -Paul
Thanks for watching and commenting! Yeah, the GT1 is an insane deal right now at $1,500. The ZT3 Pro doesn't share any parts in common with the GT1, but the styling is definitely similar. -Paul
Hey man. So sorry to have led you on for so long. At this point I’m feeling 90% sure that we’re not getting one in 2024. We’re starting from scratch to find someone to get one from. -Paul
Looking pretty good. The only downside of Segway is that they want to be "good boys" for the EU regulators so we are forced to find alternative methods to have full functionality and top speed.
I wish everyone had the wide open scooters we have here. Actually, we’re limited too. I calculated the top speed this would have if it ran truly unlimited and it’s close to 40mph. Range would be awful though. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Indeed, I have seen modifications (extra battery) on the OG max that alows it to go to +50kmh. That's the other problem with segway... low voltage and capacity bateries. Its a shame considering the motors are good. Anyway, it was a decent video, keep it going guys.
It definitely has a similar style. I didn't compare the ZT3 Pro to the P100S because the P100S is in a different price category since it costs about twice as much as the ZT3 Pro and MAX G2. The P100S looks like a super cool scooter. I really wanted to test one. We asked and asked and asked if we could get one to test, but were never able to get one. -Paul
This scooter looks awesome and has top of the line technology but the performance is underwhelming. The sporty futuristic design doesn’t match the real world performance. I would like to see a 40 mph version of this even if it’s close to $2k.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuideperhaps 40mph is reserved for the gt2 which is definitely their best scooter. Would’ve been nice if this was around the same specs as the p100 and gt1. Somewhere in the middle for people who enjoy off road and speed (without spending too much) could be more than pleased.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! We are waaaaaay overdue for some Vsett coverage. I need to ask around to see what we can get our hands on. I appreciate you reminding me! -Paul

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide i had it for about 2 months dual motors and can go offroad its very good when i was watching one of your vids i noticed the wolf king being the best offroad scooter and is the next one i want to get but $3,800 😅 its pricey
Great video! Its definitely a nice scooter and seems a lot more powerful than the Max G2. I do wonder if the specs sheet on the segway website is correct. It says the battery is 12.75 Amp hours which is smaller than the 15.3 Amp hour battery on the max G2 but it is a much more higher voltage battery than the max G2. Its still a very nicely designed scooter and a updated option to the max G2 for sure. 😁👍 im still waiting to see some more info on the ST2 Pro i seen a few videos on.
Thank you so much! Yes, the specs are correct. To find the battery capacity (watt-hours) you need to multiply the Amp-hours by the nominal voltage. So this is a higher capacity battery than the Ninebot MAX G2. The G2 has 551 Wh and the ZT3 Pro has 597Wh. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Oh thank you 👍 its shame... but maybe in a future update ? ( otherwise I don't understand the red color choice for this Button...)
Oh wow! I didn’t know it wasn’t available there yet. I reached out to Segway Ninebot just now. It’s the weekend, so they might not get back to me right away. If you don’t hear back from me by end of day Monday, please ask again :-) -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide also I can't find a review from you about the Hiley Rider T8 Pro, which is a Dual Motor, Dual Break, Dual Suspension, Solid or Pneumaric Tire Scooter at less than $800... I think it can rival a lot on that price point like the HiBoy Max Pro
Hiley is such an interesting company. The very very first scooter I ever rode was a Hiley because Skip Scooters was using them for their rental fleet. I ended up working for Skip. We tested a Synergy scooter which I believe was made by Hiley and might have even been based on the same model. If you search our channel for Synergy you might see it. -Paul
The nice thing about these is they aren't crazy knobby. Full on knobbies drive me nuts. These are like 75% road and 25% offroad. So not bad at all on the road. -Paul
Tough place in the product stack. In my mind the GX Zero is very close competition and comes with dual motors. Having the larger tires and an app is nice but being single motor is disappointing although understandable.
The GX Zero is a great scooter. In boost mode, surprisingly this single motor scooter climbed our test hill more than 2 seconds faster than the GX Zero. -Paul
Paul, what is the average total mileage of an electric scooter rider over the summer? Mine just came to an end after a wreck. I was able to get 1740.6 miles on my first Max G2 and 860.4 miles on my second MaxG2. My KQI3 Max has around 800 miles on it before Niu unbound the scooter and won't let me reconnect for some reason. If these numbers seem crazy and i sound like a bot, i can reach out to you. I've got receipts. None was commuting, just all joy riding! Cheers!
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! It’s a specialized bike helmet. I don’t love it. Too much wind noise over my ears. I just used it because it has the right colors and felt so much more appropriate than my motorcycle road racing helmet that I usually use. -Paul
I would like to see a video of the future of electric scooters going into 2025 now that tariff 301 is heavily in place. Over seas, this scooter was around $600
Great idea. I don't know if scooter design will be affected, but we'll certainly see higher prices coming our way soon. The big companies like Segway, NIU and Apollo have already started warning people to brace for higher prices. It's too bad for the scooter community, because it's not like there are any US scooter manufacturers being protected by the tariff. -Paul

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide the range is something I didn't expect to be this bad, which is really hurting my decision for it, and I knew it wouldn't be as comfy as the g2 by I was hoping it would compensate for being around the beach area, but range is really important to me.
The funny thing is I went further than spec! I went 20.5 miles. The battery is bigger than the MAX G2 so it should have gone further, except that I was riding faster and accelerating harder than I did on the MAX G2. But in top mode, with typical riding... you're going to get about 20 miles realistically. :-/ -Paul
Thanks for bringing this up because several people have interpreted it this way. It looks smaller at first glance, if you are looking at the amp hours, but this is a 48V scooter and the MAX G2 is 36V. The most reliable number to look at for battery capacity is the Watt-hours. That’s truly how much energy the battery holds, for the ZT3 Pro it’s 597Wh. The battery of the Ninebot Max is 552Wh. The reason the range is less here is I’m riding 33% faster during the entire test because the scooter is just faster, especially up hill. Thanks again for watching and commenting. I really appreciate you taking the time to call this out, because sometimes I make mistakes. -Paul
Cool review pual! Have you seen this escooter brand & model called AUSOM Gallop SR1? I recently found out about it for just $1,349. Has 52V 20.8Ah Battery, 41 mph, range 54 miles, and dual 1000 watts. Kinda reminds me of my VDM-10 but on steroids lol.
Yeah, it’s the US brand for the kukirin g3 pro . Kukirin is getting very agressive in Europe market with several model that are very good for the bucks… so they might get also aggressive in the US market but it depend on their agreement with roadrunner…
Thanks so much for the suggestion and for the feedback here. We get a lot of requests to test both brands, but haven't had the opportunity yet. I didn't realize they were related, but I haven't really dug into either of them. I'll have to go look at those models. Thanks you guys. -Paul

Great question. I'm using the latest version Segway will let us apply to this scooter which is 1.7.6 which doesn't have boost mode. Version 1.11.1 had boost mode, and was available for a while, but according to Reddit, has been pulled back by Segway and isn't currently available. I updated the firmware on our MAX G2 the same morning I performed these tests, and got version 1.7.6 I immediately re-checked to make sure it wasn't going to give me something newer than that. (sometimes you'll get an update right after an update). But 1.7.6 is all Segway would let me download. Unfortunately 1.7.6 doesn't have boost mode. 1.7.6 was quicker up our test hill and to 20mph than the original firmware we tested with when we first reviewed the Ninebot MAX G2 though. -Paul
From the videos I've seen I agree. I like that they make the battery gauge light up in red on the MAX G2 in boost mode though. I wanted to see that! Still checking to see if 1.11.1 is coming back. -Paul
I hate the feeling of bumping off a speed limiter. I ride my scooter 🛴 in its lower power modes but always remove the speed limits it just feels better.
Thanks for the feedback. It's something I wonder about. I'm very sensitive to vehicles, so little things are really distracting to me, but I'm never sure how much of a big deal to make out of them, because I think some folks won't even notice. I have a G30lp that has served me well for 3 years, (i think) Got over 2000 miles on it and the battery is starting to become lackluster. I have been debating over a Max G2 since it came out and never pulled the trigger. I am a fan of the preorder price of the ZT3 Pro and Segway reliability. Is this the one to go for?
I think the targeted market is more Europe for that one (actually according Segway themselves) where there is a 15mph speed limitation (higher range) and smaller average rides (smaller cities). But I agreed that it would have been better with 48v 20 ah battery, especially seeing the pricing they can afford to do in Europe 😂
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Yes the Battery was the biggest Budget Cut for sure to reach that sub 1000$.But i think it was a big mistake.A Scooter like this just needs a proper Battery. That's what we want and willing to pay for.

How much power would you like to see. It beat all of the dual motor scooters under $1,000 up our test hill except for the Varla Pegasus, so it moves. That was in boost mode though, so you don't get the power all the time. -Paul
I think that there is more competition currently in Europe in that segment and Segway is doing an extremely aggressive pricing in EU to get rid of some of the competition… (because the EU pricing is quite low for what you get)
The do seem to really go out of their way to avoid it. That said, the ZT3 Pro outclimbed all but one dual motor scooter below $1k on our test hill. I’m kind of stoked to see a few companies pushing the limits of big singles. Just wait for the review I’ve got next week. 40+ mph single motor. Oh yeah! i saw a Chinese youtube video showcasing the ZT 3 Pro E, look carefully at the top left corner of the dashboard, when turning on the scooter and the entire dash lights up, there is a 2WD option illuminated too. Maybe Segway will soon release a successor scooted to the ZT3 Pro and they share comment parts including the dashboard?? I cannot upload images here but it will be very easy to see. EDIT: 2:19 of this video shows it.
Nice video/test. I was very surprised to not see it in the best under 1000$ but it might have been a bit too early vs the release date… but it seems more expensive than in Europe…
Thanks for the heads up about the TurboAnt. That's still a fairly rare feature these days because the spare battery price is often about 60% of the price of the scooter, so typically folks will use it to charge the battery separately, but not get a second one.
So Pros of ZT3 against P100S
- Spring suspension is much better than steel tube torsion bar used on battle tanks and P100S. Suspension didn`t do anything on P100S
Bad things that they didn`t change
- Brakes are same as on P100S.
-Paul
Wow these are lot's of detailed info for a youtube comment, thank you so much!
Our audience is amazing! I always learn things in the comments section. It's why I hang out here so much, especially on the first day. -Paul
@@Teapode thing I dislike about Segway is fix ability. Segway is like Apple when it comes to fixing yourself. You have to send the scooter in. Nothing is plug n play. Everything is soldered.
Under 20 miles distance at top speed is just ridiculous and I don't understand why Segway doesn't use a 60 volt battery!
-Paul
But did you see fast charging.
Yes, it comes with a 3.9A charger, so it charges about twice as fast as most scooters. -Paul
It needs to do 30 mph. It’s looks super fast but it’s super slow
My brother and I had “coaster” cars literally made out of metal trash cans old lumber and whatever wheels we could find. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Yes!
Hey, good to see you. I always look forward to your insights! Thanks for watching and commenting! -Paul
What happened to the Temu video? I swear it was from this channel
Never happened ;-)
Totally imagined it.
Just kidding. It wasn’t the right fit for this channel, so we pulled it. -Paul
Can't wait to see battery prices continue to drop and for performance per pound to improve! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Oh for sure Paul! That would be great!!
Max G2 has a new update 1.11.1 which give you boost mode also
I tried to get that version while I was doing testing for the review. When did you update? I checked for new firmware the morning of the speed test and the app updated me to 1.7.6 but wouldn't give me 1.11.1 I even re-checked again after updating to 1.7.6 and it said that I was up to date. :-(
I read on Reddit that Segway offered 1.11.1 for a while and then pulled it back.
Have you heard rumors of a MAX G3 already?
I updated our MAX the morning I did the speed runs and the newest version the app would give me was 1.7.6
I checked again immediately afterwards and the app still insisted nothing newer was available. Then I saw on Reddit that they had probably pulled 1.11.1
I'll re-test the G2 again at some point if the re-release 1.11.1 -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide That would be great! I'm using the boost for a few months since the beta and I makes a lot of difference
@@Eugene.Golubev I got the update with boost mode too and makes good difference to start hard and acelerate to short hills that are common here, so it get up my experience with the G2 but I would like something with some more power to keep up with cars in hills
Enticing but the top speed is just a little too low. I’m going for the gt1 with how cheap they’re selling them right now.
The pricing on the GT1 is insanely low for what you get! -Paul
Wow, this review told me everything I need to know about the Segway Ninebot ZT3! Thank you so much. I have a Segway Ninebot MAX G2 now and was trying to figure out if I upgrade to this or maybe get a scooter from NIU. Thank you so much. This was so helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
-Paul
Great review, the ZT3 looks nice! I like the long term planning with the basket and seat screw holes!
That was a surprise! I saw the mounting points and really had to dig around to find photos of what they were for! -Paul
By Curiosity, I just want to know the maximum speed of ZT3 pro when you unlock the speed Limits
The highest speed for any country is the ~25mph limit that this one has. If you were to somehow hack it so there was no speed limited I predict that it could hit about 38mph in boost mode. But I don't think it's possible to actually completely unlock it. -Paul
I love sagway but some of their products doesn't have good range look amazing tho'😅
-Paul
The GT1 is on a heavy discount. They legit just changed the color On it and called it a zt3pro
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yeah, the GT1 is an insane deal right now at $1,500.
The ZT3 Pro doesn't share any parts in common with the GT1, but the styling is definitely similar. -Paul
Still no word on the teverun Fighter Supreme Ultra?
Thanks! -Paul
This is a remake of the P100S and no one else mentions that scooter
It definitely has a similar style. I didn't compare the ZT3 Pro to the P100S because the P100S is in a different price category since it costs about twice as much as the ZT3 Pro and MAX G2.
The P100S looks like a super cool scooter. I really wanted to test one. We asked and asked and asked if we could get one to test, but were never able to get one.
-Paul
This scooter looks awesome and has top of the line technology but the performance is underwhelming. The sporty futuristic design doesn’t match the real world performance. I would like to see a 40 mph version of this even if it’s close to $2k.
Hey, good to see you!
That sounds like the GT2, or are you thinking something a bit lighter? -Paul

I would like to see a video of the future of electric scooters going into 2025 now that tariff 301 is heavily in place. Over seas, this scooter was around $600
Great idea. I don't know if scooter design will be affected, but we'll certainly see higher prices coming our way soon. Battery is only 12 mah. G2 is 15 mah battery is smaller not bigger as your range test shows
Thanks for bringing this up because several people have interpreted it this way.
Titan is the Chinese oem that produce the old zero 10 x, some kukirin models( g2 pro, g2 master, g3 pro, g4 max) and most says (99% sure) that titan is also the one that produces the roadrunner rs5… (and when you look at the ausom galop, kukirin g3 pro, roadrunner rs5, you see the very same frame/platform with very same removable battery system but with just some different accessories and colours)
Thanks for your support!

NICE
There you are!
I saw you commenting on the Freshly Charged video and I was like heeeeeeeey, I haven’t seen Teddy yet on our ZT3 Pro video!
All is right with the world now :-)
-Paul
I watched freshly charged review video first
and your video after
I watched theirs too and enjoyed it. They mention me in the comments because I solved their hill climb test mystery (why it didn't seem to be hitting the spec when it really was). -Paul
Thanks for the review been waiting to hear what you thought of ZT3 cuz I have the G2 max and love it but ready to get a hyper scooter like the roadrunner RS5 max
Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
If you already have the G2, as different as this is, the ZT3 might now be different enough. The RS5 Max is a whole other world though, and would be a good contrast. I'd definitely keep the G2 though!
-Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide yes I'm ready for that change and really want that range of the RS5 max
Let us know how you like it. Don't forget to check the ESG site for coupon codes! -Paul
@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide oh ya for sure you guys have been a key part of me getting my scooter
Did you have the max G2 in boost mode ?
Great question.
I'm using the latest version Segway will let us apply to this scooter which is 1.7.6 which doesn't have boost mode.
Version 1.11.1 had boost mode, and was available for a while, but according to Reddit, has been pulled back by Segway and isn't currently available.
I updated the firmware on our MAX G2 the same morning I performed these tests, and got version 1.7.6
I immediately re-checked to make sure it wasn't going to give me something newer than that.
-Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thx new boost mode for max g2 makes a huge diff but I would still imagine zt3 would win.
So it's good to hear that at least one other person thinks it feels weird. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide You are lucky that you have 40 km per hour. We are still waiting for data from the American versions to unlock our 25 km per hour versions based on it.
Fingers crossed for you! -Paul
@@salesamokat3714 anything under 28km/hr feels like you are standing still.
The max g2 has also boost mode in its settings! I dont know if Paul did try it with that, he doesnt talk about it, just that it is on the newest Software
I know the firmware you are referring to 1.11.1 Unfortunately, it’s not currently available. Not on this scooter anyway. I updated and re-checked the same day I tested. Reddit says they launched 1.11.1 and the pulled it back. :-( -Paul
As long as you’re ok with the 12 extra pounds and being a little more bulky, it’s pretty great! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide For someone who is 130 pounds is the suspension too stiff? Would the G2 be better in that regard?
Nice Review 👍🏻 Do you think it would run the steepest Hill in SF as the VMAX did? Greetings from Germany 👋🏻
It may
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thank you!
How come this scooter is the same price if not less than the G2 when it has a greater top speed and mileage?
Great value and presale price!
@@Jaden_Huang this is made of steel instead of AL, should be a margin there and no hydraulic suspension in the front
This Scooter would make way more Sense with atleast 20Ah48v battery.
I think they went smaller to keep it under $1k. They also went smaller than expected on the GT2 and GT1 though so it’s hard to say for sure. -Paul
@@Experiment-lr7sm Even for us in Europe this Battery is a Joke. It's Ninebot Max G30 Level
@@sebw3964agree but they really wanted to be able to do it at a very aggressive price (current price under 700€ is a bit crazy for what you get). But I think that a lot of people would have agree to pay a bit more for a better battery. (Might still happen in next version)
It has good bones, but the electronics are underwhelming to say the least
Thanks so much for watching, commenting and being a subscriber@
Which part of the electronics, the battery capacity? Because the controller pushes a ton of amps. I can't find the spec right now, but I think it's 40A. -Paul
It’s a nice scooter but I wish it had more power/dual motors
How much power would you like to see. It beat all of the dual motor scooters under $1,000 up our test hill except for the Varla Pegasus, so it moves. That was in boost mode though, so you don't get the power all the time. -Paul
Wait what ? In France on most websites the ZT3 costs around $778
$950 USD here
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Too bad for you
@@amocarswhy are you being a jerk
All he said was the price in USD someone did not get there happy morning.
I think that there is more competition currently in Europe in that segment and Segway is doing an extremely aggressive pricing in EU to get rid of some of the competition… (because the EU pricing is quite low for what you get)
The Y600 is 600$ and goes 28 mph out the box
I haven’t heard of that one. Thanks for the feedback. -Paul
Segway really doesn’t like dual motors, huh?
The do seem to really go out of their way to avoid it. That said, the ZT3 Pro outclimbed all but one dual motor scooter below $1k on our test hill. I’m kind of stoked to see a few companies pushing the limits of big singles. Just wait for the review I’ve got next week. 40+ mph single motor. Oh yeah! (It’s still sort of a secret, we haven’t said anything about that scooter). -Paul
i saw a Chinese youtube video showcasing the ZT 3 Pro E, look carefully at the top left corner of the dashboard, when turning on the scooter and the entire dash lights up, there is a 2WD option illuminated too. Maybe Segway will soon release a successor scooted to the ZT3 Pro and they share comment parts including the dashboard?? I cannot upload images here but it will be very easy to see.
EDIT: 2:19 of this video shows it.
@@derben0517 good eye! And a TPMS light is there too, this can be the new Premium dashboard of Segway, the use to reuse parts
Nice video/test. I was very surprised to not see it in the best under 1000$ but it might have been a bit too early vs the release date… but it seems more expensive than in Europe…
Yeah, it wasn’t here yet. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Paul
I prefer swappable batteries for extended range I'm disappointed I'll pass. Turboant will release a dual motor swappable batteries I'm SOLD!
Thanks for the heads up about the TurboAnt.
That's still a fairly rare feature these days because the spare battery price is often about 60% of the price of the scooter, so typically folks will use it to charge the battery separately, but not get a second one. RoadRunner scooters entire line-up on the other hand is swappable.
I hadn't heard of a dual-motor from TurboAnt. Is that something they've announced. I'll go have a look.
Thanks again for watching and commenting! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide they already told me classified they working on to release a dual motor swappable batteries because the market is growing rapidly is still new! Turboant wants to get there first before someone else. Roadrunner scooter is successful because of their swappable batteries makes them attractive. Alot of folks out there want more extended range. Oh my scooter is Mercane MX60 swappable batteries very few review on this scooter. Why not review Mercane MX60? It's a beast scooter. Mercane is soo way ahead of it's time! Max speed can go up to 45mph adjustable setting.
Thanks for the heads up on the Mercane MX60. Mercane is such an interesting company. Super original designs. They've been around forever. They made the iconic WideWheel Pro. But for some reason have never sold super huge numbers in the US since then. I'd love to check out the MX60, but I don't think we know any distributors who carry it. -Paul
