It's impressive how you guys put yourselves above such great mind as is Gregg Popovich. This video is nicely edited and narrated but the meat is made of vegetables. What I see happening in the Spurs (international Nuggets fan btw, so no bias), is Wemby having a season where nobody can stand in his way or the way of his EGO. I think Gregg is building a monster out of the exceptional player. If he had a superstar next to him this year, his shine would not be so strong. Now after a season where he got the recognition of all of the big heads around the league, next start that becomes his companion will have to understand that the show is all around Victor, just like it is around Jokic for example, which is how you get amazing supporting cast like Aaron Gordon in Nuggets accepting his role and rising himself and the team above. This way they probably get solid draft picks, and much better chance for a good trade as some good players are aware how far they could reach supporting Wemby. I think mr. Popovich is smart enough to figure this one out, I wouldn't be too worried...
Jokic is so dominant because of the 2 man game with him and Jamal, you take that away everything else crumbles same logic with Wemby. Jokic didn’t “make a star recognize that the show is around him” he knows his teams strengths and he plays to them, can’t play to your teams strengths when no one on that team has a strength to play to
@@csgoat968 I do agree, however, it took time for Jokic himself to realize and understand what kind of a weapon he is, and than the team was built around him (and Jamal). Wemby is young and incredibly good, but he needs to understand just how good he is to be able to utilize his potential, and I strongly believe that is what Pop is working on right now. I could be wrong, I am not the professional by any means.
It's ironic that you use Lebron and Luka as an example when both their team's went all too quickly and they were mediocre for years. Why is everyone so impatient theses days? The Spurs might have 2 top 10 picks in this years draft and 3 or 4 picks in the next years draft. Build through the draft is the best way IMO.
The Mavs brought in KP, then stuck him on the perimeter chucking up 3’s all game then had Brunson go, they brought it Kyrie who’s been doing well, and the Cavs were signing dudes like Scott Williams, there biggest trade was for Varejao what are you smoking that they went all in, it’s literally a meme of how bad Lebrons early teams were😂
@@csgoat968 Yeah that's is my point. KP didn't fit with Luka and Luka's best teammate was drafted by the team. Hell they tanked at the end of last year and that turned out pretty well for them. Draft players and mold them around your franchise player. Instead of using all your assets to get a player that might not even fit with him. Lebron's teammates were nothing but veterans his whole career. His teams were always retooling. Why retool every other year when you can draft players and they can grow together like nearly every other great team in NBA history.
@@boozeman4749 Kyrie is EASILY the best teammate Luka has had, look at their numbers playing together they have more success than he did with Brunson and KP wasn’t being used properly, Coaching problem has NOTHING to do with fit with Luka. Again still waiting for you tell me how that, or “retooling” is an “all in” move. Actually take a look at the next 2 upcoming drafts, listen to what every other analyst is saying, the drafts SUCK so sure try and build through that while Tre Jones and Sochan miss every lob opportunity out there while they go 20-62 for the next 3 years lol
Sochan went to one handed free throws and shoots almost 80% also the spurs didn’t build around him narrative is dumb imagine if they built around someone they didn’t know they were gonna get an opportunity to draft yet

The guy who made this video is clearly an uninformed and most likely adolescent casual
Wemby was lucky that Spurs got first pick period
@@csgoat968Pop actually is the President of the Spurs…
To say Spurs failed Wemby when he is literally in his rookie season is crazy to me.
It's a way for you to click and comment :)
@@carlocalingasan998 True 🙃
Wemby has to forget about what people are saying and trust Pop. Pop has to protect Wemby long term. ❤🙏

Wemby is closest I've seen to a Wilt Chamberlain, some the stuff I've seen him do and done already is unreal. He's a freak.
ROY and top canidate for DPOY l woudnt call it "Failing" in his FIRST season of the NBA 😂😂
