Wemby's startling ability to charge out towards the three to cover an open opponent and then reverse himself to block the shot of that same player who has decided to drive is unlike anything we have ever seen. I think we need to realize that teams will learn how to play around or fade him. In other words, teams will adapt too. The real danger for teams is what you mentioned: players that are supporting roles and available to score. I guess this is what salary caps are for.
Adjustments for Wemby wont matter unless the NBa allows the use of step ladders. Wemby is always open vertically.💯
Of course teams will adapt. But once again he’ll need to evolve too and will learn to play differently. It’ll add to his skills
