When I smoke, I start remembering the things I did, especially embarassing things, cringe things that makes me cringe so hard when Im alone, being so embarassed of myself that I bite my pillow. Other things like 'something I did that I will take to my grave, my shortcomings, things I don't want to accept but are infact true,' keeps coming up and getting replayed. So I started disliking weed. But also I like the way it makes my body and mind feel when I smoke it before going to bed. So, i tried facing those things when it happened, demons if you will. I couldn't do it the first time nor the 2nd and 3rd time. But i believe at the 4th, I faced all of them, all that comes out. Life became better, my mind became healthier, fresher, sharper, more empathy & sympathy than before. So in a way, weed worked in a different way than what I took it for, to sleep earlier and have a relaxed body and mind when I sleep. I guess it works in both ways. 😅
Honestly, I think the mental part is one of the most valuable effects of smoking it. As Mike Tyson said, it makes you think. Most other substances dull your mind/thoughts and allow you to avoid those inner demons that are bothering your subconscious. Whereas cannabis helps to bring them to the surface so you can face them and work through them properly, leading to an overall much happier and healthier state of mind. It may not always be easy, but it's good for you and your growth as a human. 🙏
i get what you mean, it happens to me as well, i used to smoke to help with the overthinking and anxiety, but instead it only seemed to keep my mind FIXATED on that thought, i think that occurs when you consistently smoke on a daily basis, because i also remember one time i took a long ass t break and at the time i was having really bad relationship problems that affected me mentally, but once i took a huge first whiff after a long time, i completely stopped thinking about it and enjoyed my high.

I was diagnosed with schizophrenia because I said a bunch of whack shit coming down from a fuck ton (bout a half ounce) of shrooms and edible marijuana. The "doctors" at the psyche ward gave me a fuck load of different drugs (vistaril, traxadone, abilify, respridone, depacote, thorazine, invega) and they fucked me up, fucked up my reflexes (I'm pursuing a career in fighting so this was a no-no) and just made me feel dead inside. With weed and shrooms (at reasonable dosages) I've been able to mostly if not entirely heal from the damage that those synthetic drugs did and now I only hear voices and hallucinate on large doses of hallucinogens (I consider edible weed a hallucinogen after a certain point). Now I don't do the large doses nearly as much any more (who wants to hear voices from the ether all the time?) though when I want to get that high, I can handle the voices/ hallucinations now that I've got a grip on reality. To end this long share session, I'll say that shrooms and other psychedelics microdosed or standardly dosed in the presence of a trained psychedelic assisted therapist have been proven to heal brain damage, strengthen neurons and rewire the brain in a positive way (positive if you're in the right environment, negative rewiring is possible if, say, you're an MK Ultra test subject). Given the facts and my own experiences, I don't believe in the usage of pharmaceutical drugs to manage "mental illness". Rather I call things like "bi-polar disorder" or schizophrenia maladaptation's and encourage people to look at treatments like PAT, holotropic breathing or micro-dosed shrooms, in leiu of giving these "doctors" money for their shitty drugs.
Marijuana should always be looked at as a medicine I approve this message. I drank and I smoked cigs but, when I smoke marijuana…. I’m happy relaxed and can fall asleep and more motivated and positive. Compared to other things
@@jld4870 Is that a fact doctor? Weed focuses the mind into what you are currently doing in your day. It stimulates your thinking patterns and allows for more creativity. Don't read government supported tabloids if you want to know the truth about weed.
@@jld4870absolutely yes. You aren’t inhibited like you would be if drinking alcohol, you are aware of everything you are doing and why. You are more perceptive and able to concentrate on information and understand it better. You are able to focus without distraction. It leaves no lingering hangover like alcohol, instead it leaves a sense of reflection. Bear in mind it affects everybody differently, everything does. But used correctly, it can both save and enhance lives greatly. Just like any lifesaving medicine. If it means anything, I am a working medical professional with a legal prescription for cannabis. Since gaining my prescription and consuming appropriately, I have attended multiple interviews, been appointed to a more senior position in a specialist service, and thrived in said position. If I were not present, none of this could have happened. None of my life as I know it would be the way it is without medical cannabis.
@@jld4870 Cannabis can make you more present, 'alive' and connected with experiences, it depends on the strain, maturity, and other factors. Don't buy into the propaganda. A lot of people will try 'weed' and assume it's all the same. The effects can vary massively. Two strains can be almost the exact opposites in terms of feel and effect.
I just use it recreationally at night to relax, but I know some people that use it all day to improve the quality of their lives .. And you'd have no idea. One is a veterinarian , another manages a store. My friend suffers from clinical depression . Sometimes just lays in bed all day. But he can take just a few hits and 20 minutes later he is up and cleaning the kitchen. Compared to the side effects of pharma drugs , cannabis can be the way to go for many conditions .
That is me. 100%. I'm depressed when I'm sober these days. Couple tokes and I'm out riding bike, cleaning house, washing car, playing guitar. Creative juices are a flowin'.
Sativa hits it every time, it brings with it joy too rather than being monged-out with Indica. As a fellow blazer who has struggled with mental health, I understand completely what he's saying. It's all about getting clarity and if weed does that from time to time, then what harm is in that.
Ive smoked weed every day for the last year. Problem is I was always using carts instead of raw flower, so weed was actually damaging my mental health more than it was helping. I switched to raw flower about a month ago after I got my first bong (best way to smoke flower imo) and even though I've been smoking every day, my mental health has been way better than it was a year ago. Weed is definitely not the "drug" people are calling it, it really is a "medicine drug" and so many people could benefit from it if they just stop telling themselves its the worst thing on earth before drinking a beer at dinner.
I totally agree with Mike about the pot being medicine!! That’s exactly how I feel about it!! It has literally changed my life. I was in so much pain, and I started smoking every day and after a couple weeks my pain level was crushed!! I love the indica though, that’s my favorite!!
Right on Mike! It saved my life too. There should be a global ban on alcohol and Marijuana should be legalized globally (if the world made any rational sense that is). Countries that prohibit alcohol are the smart ones!
I mean alcohol shouldn't be banned, it'll still get made and drank a lot even if it was banned (1920's moment) Also it's good for the economy. But I do definitely agree that weed should be legal in as many places as possible.
Man, if you're doing it for 4 days straight, you're using it as a drug, please don't fool yourself into thinking it's fine. Only take it when you Need it. Stay safe.
@@BltchErica that depends on the quantity. If it enhances function and engagement in daily activity with no significant after affects, then it is simply a supplement. That’s how I would describe it from my perspective as someone with a legal prescription for it.
I’m glad it can help many. Mentally and physically. But like any prescribed or natural drug, it can have negative effects. I smoked like mad in HS and early college. Something happened. I couldn’t even take one hit without having a bad effect. Paranoia, heart racing like on speed, massive ear ringing…etc. I can tell you it’s not a cure all for everything that people proclaim. CBD does nothing for me and what I’ve tried it for. Not a knock on Cannabis. Don’t expect it to change your life. For some of us, it’ll make symptoms worse. It’s like any substance. Trial and error.
true, when i stared to smoke it was nice, everything was so quite, and peacfull, but now it gives me paranoia and heart racing, sometimes when im in effect i start to thing that im gonna have a heart attac or strock. the only way that makes me good is when i drin a couple of beers and after smoking, but than i smoke like one pack of cigarettes in 3 hours
Day 10 off weed feeling like a hot head bad tempered man again that’s just waiting for someone to say something my life definitely better with it even my work outs aren’t the same now only reason I can’t get it is it’s illegal in my country
I stopped smoking weed 20 years ago, and I've been more and more miserable. The pain i feel every day has become unbearable, and percocet and vicodin addiction caused me to have to start taking suboxen, and that's even worse than the pain pills. Im so grateful that Ohio has become a recreational state. Now, i can finally start that trip back to marijuana for pain, anxiety, depression and keeping my mind focused. ❤🎉 Mike Tyosn is an amazing human being and will always be a hero to the poor kids who grew up knowing his life story. 💙

In my late teens & 20s my friends and I would do shrooms, Isd, and ecstasy occasionally. Good times! All were positive, fun, spiritual experiences. But, it's been decades. I don't know anyone who knows anyone who can get psychedelics from. I live in LA & there's a Kush store three blocks from my house, but I can't function alone on weed. I wish they sold psilocybin gummies. I'm a little depressed & a little anxious on a regular basis. I'm not a big drinker and I hate taking pills. A bite or two of a chocolate bar, or a cup of mushroom tea everyday would be a godsent for me.
I’ve been researching on psychedelics and it’s benefits to individuals dealing with Anxiety, Depression, ADHD and from my findings, they really work and I’ve been eager to get some for a while but its been difficult to get my hands on them.
The Trips I've been having really helped me a lot. I’m now able to meditate and I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well
@ohmakure4716 I feel the same way too. I put too much on my plate and it definitely affects my stress and anxiety levels. I am also glad to be a part of this community.
Mike's last comment is the truth. I didn't start smoking weed til I was 20. I didn't find my connect.....my connect found me. I was new to weed & was spending like $150 to $200 on hydro. Some good memories.
Marijuanna absolutely needs to be legal in every single state. It needs to be researched and pros and cons to its use needs to be shared freely; with no companies trying to sway use either way: The real cons and the real pros flat on the table with no vested interests skewing the reality. No one in the entire planet should be in jail for its use. It's crazy that alcohol that obviously worse is legal, and weed isn't is backwards.
What a scoop! This is some real award winning journalism. They should really do an hour long special on how he enjoys recreational drugs. The world needs to know.
Just don't start smoking until the early evening. This is the advice of a 70 yr old who's been smoking for 50 yrs. Once you no longer have some place you have to drive to for the day, and you don't need a sharp memory for anything at the moment, *then* you can just relax and smoke. And don't take big enough hits to make you cough your brains out - that's your lungs saying "Hey, man, tone it down a bit!"
Unfortunately ganja has always made my mental health feel worse because I have ocd and anxiety linked to it and I’ve always been told ganja isn’t for everyone but the more I think about it the more I wonder why does every human have a cannabanoid system if they’re destined to never try the plant ygm. I refuse to give up as even if the plant has given me anxiety in the past one good thing it did was never make me feel sad 💙🙏🏽
I hate weed anxiety cus u feel stupid from the weed but also scared. Hits harder when you've just slept a big bowl off. Makes you feel like your mind is frozen in fear. Idk how else to describe it.
@@Elijah42069 I totally get ya mate 💙👌, I’m working on different ways to allow myself to work with ganja in a positive way by for example finding passions and a vision of my future so that I only feed my mind good things as a lot of my problems stem from an overactive and idle mind. I’m hoping that after I do this for a few months I won’t be thinking the same things and therefore will have a different mindset and my mind will have been fed good things ultimately ending in a good experience if I next smoke 💙🙏🏽
@@Elijah42069 The plant is showing you your natural tendencies of fear and anxiety. It’s a teacher. Once you face it enough, it disappears, but it can be alarming. But it’s always temporary and it’s also showing you how great life is when you come through it!
Have you tried an extremely ripe indica strain? The maturity is very important with regards to paranoia and sadly a lot of commercial cannabis is not mature which can induce paranoia. There are processes in the maturation phase that quite radically change the chemical composition and effects, from racey/paranoia inducing, to calming/relaxing. This change can occur in as little as a week or two at the end of flowering, but as many are growing for $$$, the crops are rushed to increase turnover at the expense of maturity/quality. Likewise new, inexperienced, or misinformed growers can rush harvests without intending to, it is tricky and takes some experience to know when cannabis is ripe to harvest. For example here, seed packets often show the flowering time as the absolute quickest possible time for the plant to produce cannabis, but this is in space age ideal conditions that not many people can achieve, again leading people to chopping early. The packet says 'flowering period - 56 days' so many chop bang on 56 days as that's what it says on the packet, but cannabis isn't a microwave ready meal, and timings can vary a lot depending on the growing environment.
@@TinaBourgeois-l2v fr i smoke between the two depending on how im feeling and whats going on. for instance if u had a long stressed day at work indica if ur talking with a friend or playing video games use sativa.
Yup I smoke everyday and it definitely helps me overcome my anxiety and depression! It also helps me to get motivated to complete tasks! I don’t know what I would do without marijuana ! Gods gift to man kind truly ❤
Marijuana saved me from committing suicide. I was in a chronic state of grief and depression after mom enormously beloved mom and her 14-year old dog, were killed in a car accident in 2015. I am an only child and my mom was my best friend. We were always extremely close and loved each other so much. I hated life after she was killed. However, my cousin introduced me to his medical week and it changed my life for the much better! I got my own medical marijuana card and depression gone and a renewed love of life returned. Joy, creatively, relaxation and bone hard erections! Thank you God, and thank you Mike Tyson! I love smoking weed! I am age 56 and I am doing well in life again. Back to working full time and back to making six-figures. R.I.P. Mom and Sam, your sweet and wonderful dog who died with you in the car. I'll never forget you.
A scientist in germany once asks a lot of old farmers in the sixties, who lived about in the beginning of the century, if they know what Marihuana was. They denied. But then they tell him, that all the farmers in the aerea smoked "Knaster" every evening. That was the german word for the crackling, when weed is smoked. Weed was the standard food for animals, because it grows fast and full and kept the cows calm. The farmers did not know what we called marihuana. But they got their joints every evening. That is so crazy. Since it was forbidden, everything changed.
@@blazinjaye45 I can’t say that’s the case for me. I generally consume cannabis daily, but have gone months without it and haven’t had any issues other than feeling the way I did before I ever started using cannabis… which was not great and not achieving anything in school or work. My use of cannabis has coincided with a steep rise in my academic performance and a steady rise to a specialist position in healthcare. Edit: I have a legal, medical prescription for cannabis, so I am advised as to when I should take a break. Consistently, those breaks have resulted in low mood, low motivation, lower attendance to work. Just a list of not nice things, really.
I'm the same way, helps me with my depression, and anxiety and sleep, after I smoke a good sativa joint I laugh, I'm smiling, and I never smile that much, and at the same time when I drink I become belligerent, annoying and aggressive, where cannabis just calms me down and makes me chill, for me cannabis is much better then alcohol, I never get into trouble when I'm smoking weed, but drinking I find myself in the drunk tank, or starting arguments, yes I completely relate to this

Given the facts and my own experiences, I don't believe in the usage of pharmaceutical drugs to manage "mental illness". Rather I call things like "bi-polar disorder" or schizophrenia maladaptation's and encourage people to look at treatments like PAT, holotropic breathing or micro-dosed shrooms, in leiu of giving these "doctors" money for their shitty drugs.
i use it with SSRI for ultimate enlightenment 😂
Same bro exactly the same situation
Marijuana should always be looked at as a medicine I approve this message. I drank and I smoked cigs but, when I smoke marijuana…. I’m happy relaxed and can fall asleep and more motivated and positive. Compared to other things
But are you present? I say NO it alters your ability to connect and actually experience all of life…good n bad!
Mike is a warrior and some of us should learn from him, respect.
If you rely on drugs to relax you need to go on self improvement bro
I am the one who stays that way all day on bed but weed makes me alive and up I wish it was legal atleast we could not have the anxiety

true words from a legend, love this dude
The Herb of Peace One Love.
He's the 1 person in the world i world love to meet, chat with & get blazed together. Mike is the man.
Sativa hits it every time, it brings with it joy too rather than being monged-out with Indica. As a fellow blazer who has struggled with mental health, I understand completely what he's saying. It's all about getting clarity and if weed does that from time to time, then what harm is in that.
yep that’s true but i really like indica too
Ive smoked weed every day for the last year.
My step dad switched from hardcore drug use to cannabis a few years before he met my mum, he said it's the best choice he ever made.
He is a lot smarter then people think

It's incredible how changed he is. For the good. He become a still srrong but wiser man
I totally agree with Mike about the pot being medicine!! That’s exactly how I feel about it!! It has literally changed my life. I was in so much pain, and I started smoking every day and after a couple weeks my pain level was crushed!! I love the indica though, that’s my favorite!!
Drugs take away all our problems, until eventually the drug becomes all your problems
I hear ya Mike. It's been helping me with pain and sleep issues for the past 30 years but I like my Indica 😎🚬
Love that last shot with the leaf against the sun 😎
Taking "facies". That damn near killed me lol.

4 days indica straight, i barely remember what ive been doing.. mike has a point.
@BltchErica im not. Its an addiction that is mostly in control but i do get relapses..
Get off the indica man, that's not the true weed experience 😂😂
Smoking weed taught me to deal with stress, it made me bored unless i was releasing stress in a positive way
I’m glad it can help many.

@ceroid3752 you are correct sir. It does make you face your inner self, I can speak from experience.
true, when i stared to smoke it was nice, everything was so quite, and peacfull, but now it gives me paranoia and heart racing, sometimes when im in effect i start to thing that im gonna have a heart attac or strock.
the only way that makes me good is when i drin a couple of beers and after smoking, but than i smoke like one pack of cigarettes in 3 hours

This is really true alcohol is a down fall for alot of people
In my late teens & 20s my friends and I would do shrooms, Isd, and ecstasy occasionally.
I’m now able to meditate and I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well
I was having this constant, unbearable anxiety due to work stress. Not until I came across a very intelligent mycologist. He saved my life honestly

Marijuana calms me too
Mike's last comment is the truth.
Love you Mike!!! Glad to know I'm not the only one...
weed isn't for everyone.

Yes as awesome as weed can be for certain ppl there is definitely a link between ppl with certain mental health conditions and weed..
I owe my life to cannabis. Saved me from a 15 year benzodiazepine addiction.
