Please more videos. Last weekend I took out my 86 XR200 with a late 80s to early 90s CR125 front end. Was an easy swap i did 15-20 years ago.
The bike sat for 7 years til last week when I decided that my 50th birthday last month hit me hard and I needed to something other than to watch Hot Rod Dragweek coverage all week.
Not having been on any bike in seven years it took a bit but that bike and me hit the mountain trail that was in horrible condition and had a blast. Some of.the Rocky areas looked like they were covered in bowling balls but the bike hit the line i pointed to and nailed all difficulties.
That's awesome! Love it when people get back into riding after a break. I've got some videos right around the corner on this XR. Fork mods and reassembly are coming up, with a full ride report!
Bought one of these last weekend. It’s a 87. Sitting for years. Leaves and mouse poop in the air filter box pulled the carb and cleaned the pilot jet. She fired right up. My buddy has one. It’s what made me want to get one. He says they are tanks and last forever. I believe him now.
I just bought a 2002 xr200r for $750 as well and it’s in amazing condition. Starts on the first kick every time. Amazing bike.

Put in a bigger bore piston 12:1 and an aftermarket midrange cam . Huge fun improvement . You could do a youtube video on it . Twice the torque , youll be wheelying in fourth .

My XR200 1980's intake valve bent after letting go of the clutch too quick causing it to stall. Close to zero compression after that occurred. So since the valves are hard to come by I had to buy them from AliExpress, still awaiting delivery
Can we see the air filter on this xr200 dirt bick because I got one and I'm trying to see the what the ariginal air filter looks like and the air box set up to pleases.
Mt wife bought a 2002 Xr 200r for $ 1,300.00 in great condition with title a few weeks ago .

I promise you they are coming. Fork rebuild and overall bike rebuild is coming. I've just been super busy this summer and this project has had a slight delay. She will for sure be trail riding this fall! Fork video hopefully in the next few weeks! Thanks for subbing!

I bought my first bike (1994 XR200r) for $800 and take it everywhere. Just recently picked up a 1991 XR200r for $600 and am building it. Sadly, the suspension is shot on my 94 and I found a great deal on a complete used suspension off of a 1990 XR200r in very good shape, but could not get my hands on it before it sold. Would enjoy seeing more videos on yours.
We would love to swap to the long travel suspension but it's hard to source them. Definitely getting ready to do some update videos on this bike with some work being done on it! Thanks for watching!
Got a ‘95 for $500, needs rear shock and smokes (top end). So fun and light to ride, going all the way to revive it

Do a crf230 or cr fork swap bolt on upgrade!
We would love to upgrade the suspension but unfortunately ebay is pretty dried up of cheap 84-91 xr forks or cheap crf230 forks. The 230 also requires the complete front wheel. Unless you know where a setup is for cheap? 😉
What year is the bike
I got a 1999 xr 200r for 750 but the back brake is messed up and the valves need adjusted bad
The valve adjustment on these motors is pretty easy to do with a set of feeler gauges.
How can I install a key on this bike? Please make a video of putting a key on the bick

So you can wash it and pressure wash it just how it sits and let it dry and able to fire it up and go without having to cover anything so water do get into? Pressure washing it won't hurt anything?
Don't think so as long as the airbox plastic and suspension boots are on
Stay away from the crank seals.
Let me know if you replaced the front fork oil seals. I have an XR200R which looks exactly like yours and need to replace the leaking oil. Btw I already have the seals.

They are stock. Just cleaned them up best we could. Not sure if you can buy those anywhere or not

In Germany XR's are expensive. For that price you can buy a modern enduro. I have a 1992 Xr600r.
