- A self-described “enthusiastic amateur songwriter”, John Evans lives win Kildare, Ireland. A few years ago, his teenaged daughters challenged him to arrange and record 53 of his songs by his 53rd birthday. Calling it “The 53x53 Project”, he’s completed more than 80 so far!
John’s been battling a non-malignant tumor for several years, and counts on music to get him through some of the harder time. During lockdown, he was diagnosed with cancer, leading to more surgery last fall. On receiving the diagnosis, he decided to take a huge step and share his music publicly for the first time, starting a UA-cam channel and learning to create videos to accompany his songs.
After surgery he was confined to bed, where he says that working on this version of “Better Times Will Come” became his therapy - a constant reminder to stay positive and keep going. Having been through a fairly serious surgery myself, and the long recovery, I can only admire his determination. When I saw this video I was both moved and humbled, and asked if he’d consider joining this project. Thanks to him for saying “Yes”!!

Blessings. Thank k you for sharing.
Thank you Daisy. Stay safe.
It was a joy to see the removal of masks to reveal a smile the way it used to be... should be. God only knows how many people miss a loving smile.
Because optimism is no longer badly informed pessimism. Thank you.
They say that road to hell is paved with good intentions. This is an example of well intentioned but very badly informed cobble stone turned into propaganda. Very sad.
Is your normal being judgemental, critically opinionated, dissatisfied. Yet, you landed right here, out of millions and millions of Videos on UA-cam.
