I was there in Norwich last night and I agree with Ajaxrulz, they were amazing and the sound was fantastic live. You have to appreciate the recording device used by the poster is never going to be able to capture the depth of sound from the live audio system. Many thanks to Fabrizio for posting and giving us all a chance to relive a great gig. Go see and then judge for yourself. I would see them again in a heart beat,
The bassist from Repugnant is skinny, but the new Ghost bassist is really tiny, very very thin compared to the other guys... (look at his/her shoulders !!!). On repugnant videos he's skinny but built approximatively like Tobias... I don't think it's a girl (not female hands and way of moving) but I'm not sure it's this guy from Repugnant, even if it would make sense for Tobias to pick musicians in one of his previous bands...
I know it has been said that the whole line-up changed, but couldn't this guitar player (Aether, black guitar) be the old "Water"? he played guitar on the US popestar tour last fall, after Omega left the band, and I don't see any big difference between this guy and him... what do you think about it?
Yeah. Too bad, I was looking forward to seeing them in Oakland, CA on July 5th. Now that they are all new, I think I'll pass. I really wanted to see Megan Thomas (bassist) play. Oh well.
Ok so I'm a new fan (like a month or so into Ghost) pretty sure i've heard recordings of various ghouls and honestly like this, the sound is still the same sound that made me like them, but this show is the first time I've seen so much aggression from the ghouls and it's fucking awesome, I dunno if they were really feeling it that night but if this is how they perform then I honestly think they should be kept, brings the live performance to a new level in my opinion (Enough that I actually want to see them live! not many bands get me out of bed like Ghost have haha)
What would be funny is if they're using this to kick Papa III out later. When Papa IV enters Alpha and the rest return. Ghost is all about theatrics and a move like that wouldn't surprise me.

Carlos Salgado hahaha. as a Ghost fan since 2010, yes, I know. lol. But in some interviews SG said members leave and sometimes come back. I think it was one of the Loudwire interviews. So it's not far fetched to think that Alpha, Omega, Water, and the others felt like leaving to start their other projects while Papa and (hopefully) stand-ins take care of the final tours with Papa III. And maybe come back so they can keep the anonymity they wanted in the first place. It's just my own theory.

Why are people upset about the new member lineup? Honestly they still sound great! I wouldn't be disappointed to see them live with this batch of Nameless Ghouls at all. And maybe they seem a little stiff I'll admit. But they're new, it might take a minute for them to loosen up. Stop being dicks. Stop acting like you had a connection to the last ones. As long as the music sounds good, there isn't a problem
They may seem pretty off during the first couple of songs, but they got so much better as the evening went on! It was one of my favourite concerts in all honesty. I'd love to go see them again : )

This reminds me too much of when KISS put Tommy and Eric in the Spaceman and Cat makeup. The knockoff RDs and even some of the antics just scream replication. I know people will scream til their blue in the face that it isn't about the members, but when all those members who created the band leave, that fundamentally changes the identity and sound of the band. I'm excited to see them open for Maiden this summer but I'm really hoping they sound a little tighter by then.

I also heard that this new guy didn't actually play his keytar solo live but instead they had a backing track do the job, and it just seems like a dude with as many decades of stage experience as wakeman would've managed that

Saw Ghost with the Classic Lineup before Martin left in 2015 was amazing.Also saw them with this lineup in 2017 opening for Maiden always great but it pisses me off every other day some new wanker is in the bandl! This is a song for Masons worldwide ya wankers lol!

New drummer has unnecessary fills, both guitarist are weak and can't play the huge string gauge the previous ones did(in fact, guitars sound muddy as fuck) and they also twisted the solos, keyboard player can't play the solo in mummy dust so he has playback...and papa, well he forgot what a falsetto is 4:08

I hope that this is the case for alpha and Omega and that they were not sacked or forced out.I was there last night and they were great. The real proof will come with the next album.
Graham Hall Apparently Tobias kicked the whole band out (No Simon, Martin, Drummer, Bassist/Rhythm replacement, even the new bass chick, and sadly the keyboardist too :(. This went down in February

The sound is fine but the presence is gone. The Ghouls look pathetic specifically the Ghoul replacing Omega, he is awkward on stage.
