Aussie Aerotowing at Jerliderie 2024

So here we are again. In the heat and the dust and the stubble - and the thermals. Yay! It might have been a hot dry year, but, by golly, most of us had a really good time. I'm a bit short of footage this year, on account of the amount of time I spent in the air. Or, it was just too hot. Oh well. Memories. Oh yes, VH-MAV won best vintage. Not surprising.

Lovely K6CR aerotow at 2 mins 35 secs (haven't watched all the video so probably others). All too often I see models being dragged into the air at crazy angles with tug under full power. It gets the job done but just spoils the whole scale effect. I can understand options may be limited with smaller/high wing loaded models but with the big ones and the lighter vintage ones it ought to be possible. So well done guys on doing aerotows that are a joy to watch (for this ex fullsize glider pilot and K6CR owner). Take up slack......all out 👍
