It was a quite some work indeed; the whole Xbox project (with Boxart, game-configs. etc) took several years in total. Hope you enjoy :)

Thank you. Yes, that was a goal; trying to catch the feel of how things look on a 1702 monitor. Most of the time videos are too sharp (and no scanlines) and far too washed out for example. Also see a lot of missing borders.

Thank you very much! I finally found out the name of a game I remember having played as a kid. I have been searching databases and asking in retro forums or ChatGPT, but couldn't get an answer. When I saw your compilations, I was prepared to watch all of them from A to Z.
Thankfully, the game is "Arac", and you included it under that title, and not under its alternative name "Spiderbot". So I can finally sleep easy, knowing which game it was.

I wonder how many games there are in total on this planet for the c64...best selling computer ever so there must be thousands.
Including all naff titles the estimate is that it's around 10.000 or even more. GameBase has it's count at 30.000 atm but that includes all type-ins and 'basic' stuff too.
Thank you for uploading. This must have taken you forever to do. Please don’t take offence but some of the clips make me laugh because it looks like you have not got a clue what you are doing and then you just go onto the next one. I know that many C64 games were just so bizarre and that is why i love it so much. Thanks again 😊
Correct. Many games I never played on C64 back in the day. Sometimes after playing and recording for hours, frustration can sink in (and some titles are REALLY frustrating) I and I didn't bother to learn the game first 😄(1:20:08 is a good (laughing) example).

Wow, nice work! You've got the definitive C64 compilations here. I'm still going through the immense catalogue of games to create longplays if possible. Only 29,000 on GB64 to get through 🤣
Thanks. I made these vids for the Xbox collection; the 6000 here sums up the C64 basically. Doing ALL of GB64 might not be worth it, as about 75% are type-ins or basic games.

@@Asphodellife Hard to describe since it was really long ago and I was a little kid and our tv was only black and white (so I can't say the color scheme). It was a platformer but the screen was moving to the right always so you had to go forward too. The character was an astronaut I think and you walked on a moon like thing where the platforms were made out of blocks. I only played it a little because accidentally we spilled tea over the casette and could never load it again. It was a bootleg so there were no cover to know the title.

@@Asphodellife Yes, that's right. Your clips in this video look fantastic but the ones in the Xbox pack that I looked at don't look the same quality - I'm probably not understanding how it works as I see mention of a mod in the comments below.

@@mattflin5171 Correct. The videos in the Xbox project are the same ones (with scanlines), but the vids are cut down in resolution because of memory constraints (XMV format). Thanks for the kind words!

It'll still be some time until I'm through with 0-A-B, I'll fully watch all the parts btw. It's pure nostalgia. Do you have any favourites within 0-A-B @Axel Folly? I have three :) Addams Family, Adrenaline, and one of my all-time favourite C64 games: Bubble Bobble!!
Bubble Bobble (05:33:13) I played a lot! timeless title. Let's see.. Armalyte (01:58:50). Also Barbarian (Palace) (03:00:45) (and it's sequel). I played that one to death back in the day and still do on occasion; perfect in 2 player mode! Buggy Boy! (05:42:41); I actually prefer the C64 version over the arcade original. Bonecruncher (04:52:12) is one of my old time favourites. Bombuzal (04:51:13). To name a few. Also a special mention to Briley Witch Chronicles (1 & 2) (05:27:55); these are recent releases but quite good JRPG style titles!.
How about hyperlinking each game to the lemon64 game database? If you can send me the list of all the games I can try and do that for you.
Problem is I rearranged some titles from my original Xbox folders, so I don't have a '1:1' list anymore. Also Lemon64 doesn't have all the games listed here in it's database atm. Thanks for the offer though! :)

Sadly, not all of the games are on Lemon64 (especially a lot of the more recent games), gamebase64 would have been a better option

@@Asphodellife my memory is blurred and may be bit false. Or false to a large extent. The game was a bit similar to Dizzy (using items in places). I think back in the day there was a walkthrough in some Polish magazine on games so it tells something. Colourful background. Scenery varied. I think I remember desert. A cactus. I think among the items there was a vacuum cleaner and you could fly using it to get to a specific location (?) Your character (I mean the sprite) was rather small. It wore blue clothes and a cap or sth like German WWI helmet, pickelhaube (????) An adventurer perhaps. It was not gordian tomb for sure. Silly/funny/cute, not realistic nor dark.

I'm trying to find a commodore 64 game Don't remember the name of it there a guy with a red balloon in his hand I remember that and I remember there was a couple caves in the game and it said AC/BC on the caves It was kind of like a RPG game It was really fun I Loved that game I just wish I could find it I don't remember the name of it If anyone knows the name of this game please respond I would really appreciate it
