So many people who I've spoken to about painted cabinets say this is just a temporary, less expensive, fix and that cabinet replacement is the best solution. Heard of several different paint brands being used, some better than others, but those with painted cabinets tell me cabinet replacement is the ultimate way to go. Painting is just a band aid approach that looks good at first. Heard of and seen lots of issues with chipping, peeling, discoloration, etc...after a few years.
Great video! Possible suggestion: links to paints (at least some of the best) or a typed list of the results below the video. Just in time for me to paint my bathroom cabinet. Kep ‘em coming!
Great video. Keep em coming. I used BM Command on my kitchen cabinets. Rolled the frame and sprayed the doors. Its been 2 years and still looks like its been painted yesterday. This paint is not for cabinets, its made to paint industrial posts, fire hydrant, floors for caution colors. So if you know the paint has to take those kinds of abuse, you know itll be great and protects your home cabinets. It dries fast and has a good self-leveling compound. But "PREP" is key !!! dont be lazy on that process.
I rolled mine with advance. Its held up okay considering renters abuse stuff. Whats crazy to me is i found the stix primer to be even stronger than advance. I have a few chips but the stix primer underneath the advance has no marks. The stix primer also leveled better than advance and looked like it was sprayed on. I wish they made nice colors using stix i would have just painted with that lol.
Hello, according to your experience between the two products of Benjamin moor Command and Cabinet Coat which one do you choose to paint the kitchen cabinets? Thank you
It all comes down to how the paint scores in pencil hardness test or the Wolff-Wilborn test . Cabinet coat by Insul X is 2B, Advance is 6B. with recoat time in 6 hours. Use the Insul X bonding primer.

Fyi it says cabinets on the front of the can.
@@jasonw9277 hmm we must be looking at a different can, even he says in his video BM Command is not a kitchen cabinet paint.
You're right my mistake.

I'm repeating what a Ben Moore Sales Rep told me. Command is not a kitchen cabinet paint. It does work as one.
It says cabinets right on the can
