Me and my sister shared a Windows 95 back in the day. Boy did we love it! When I look back to the past to this, I always remembered that startup sound. BTW, Windows Longhorn sounds so dreamy, as if it were from heaven. :)
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane & a listen to the road not taken. I had Windows 95, 98, and the last time I did Windows was ME, which crashed & sent my computer into a coma. My son managed to wake it and get it walking again, but now it gives me a notification of an Illegal Act, or a WAOL after about five minutes so I have to close program. With ME's computer's demise, I switched to a grape iMac and have been very happy. Occassionally I'll crank up the ME in a nostalgia jag for the s
me he dado cuenta que los sonidos de inicio y cierre de sesión se han vuelto mas cortos, quisas se debe a que los equipos cada vez son mas rápidos, por lo tanto, demoran menos en encender y apagar :D
Blackcomb was 7. I used the dev build for some time. It looks a lot different because they change the aesthetics of the operating system through the development process. Early dev copies of Vista look almost identical to XP. then as the builds change the look of the operating system slowly changes until they reach the gold master build, which is the version the consumer uses.
Favorite windows for my family would be windows 95 we still have that all the way from 1995 but back then they cost 2,000 dollars we also have 98 and XP windows 7 and windows 8. I miss the 1990's.
Roblox DEAD How old are you? And you play roblox? Also do you think Windows 95 was that much! Where do you get this stuff from. Windows 3.1 was ACTUALLY $99.99. Fucking son of a bitch.
The windows NT 5.0 shutdown sound is actually the Windows 2000 Beta 3 startup sound, and the real Windows NT 5.0 shutdown sound is the Widnows NT 4.0 shutdown sound. I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT.
The didn't cancel Longhorn. That was just Vista's codename until it was publicly released. Just like Windows XP was Whistler and 7 was Blackcomb and Vienna.
0:36 The logic is, Windows NT 4.0 shutdown. It is based on the startup wav that has been played reverse. If you put it to otaku test, my mind was thought about The Disappearing of Hatsune Miku. You'll surprise if you do the same.
No, they're not the same. Windows 2000 was aimed at businesses, and Windows ME was aimed at the home user. For this reason, one might have different software.
I remember purchasing a copy of Windows 95 last year for enjoyment of nostalgia, but sadly, I wanted to keep Windows XP on the desktop - the installation wasn't for virtual machines.
Windows 98 login sound makes me feel old but 98 is extremely stable in fact I did a logic bomb on it locally using batch scripting and all the resources down to zero meaning no more ram free space etc and it still shutdown fine and booted up with no problems
Why are the sounds so boring with windows 7 and windows 8? And man, is it a shame that the sounds in me, 2000 and the beta versions of vista aren't included with later operating systems! Those sounds sound very peaceful, relaxing, and nostalgic!
Windows 8 costs maximum 10,000 dollars I don't know how much money costs that OS because I didn't tryed the Windows 8 before! I tryed the 95 from my grandma's office, XP from my computer (It also has on my laptop but until 2010-2011), and 7 on my laptop from 2011-2012.
@MissyFlesky123 I used the sndrec32.exe from Windows XP, and copied it to C:\windows\system32 in Windows 7, it even works in Windows Vista. Put "name-of-sound.wav" in "C:\Windows\Media\" Make a shortcut to sndrec.exe in the Startup-folder in the startmenu. Right-click on the shortcut, properties, shortcut tab, in the "target:" you type: "C:\Windows\System32\sndrec32.exe /embedding /play /close C:\Windows\Media ame-of-sound.wav" withou the quotes. Hope this helps you, it works for me. :)
Best versions of Windows: Windows 98 and Windows XP OK versions: Windows 95, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and 5.0, Windows 2000 and Windows 7 Bad versions: Windows ME, Window Vista and Windows 8
Kid, where do you think they got it from. That was in 2010 when Michael and Cary were KIDS. They probably couldn't think of anything else to put, it isn't a bfdi sound it was just used in bfdi.
All those beautiful Longhorn sounds we could have had but never got...
Me and my sister shared a Windows 95 back in the day. Boy did we love it! When I look back to the past to this, I always remembered that startup sound. BTW, Windows Longhorn sounds so dreamy, as if it were from heaven. :)
Yea wish it came out tho

If you think Windows NT 5.0 is scary, wait till you hear Windows 2000 Beta!
My favorites were Longhorn, XP, Vista/7, and 98 because except for Longhorn I have the most nostalgia for those
It actually did, as well as some of the other sounds from the 9x based systems.
Yeah but u russian
Barely anymore... More people use Apple now, thanks to Windows 8. I like Windows 8, it's a shame that most people hate it :(

The "chord" sound from 98 is very nostalgic for me!
Windows ME is almost exactly like Windows 2000 except certain sounds were removed
@MissyFlesky123
And remember to untick play startup sound in the sound properties in the control panel.
Next will be Windows 8, 8.1, 10, Server 2019.
No also server 2016
0:15 , i love this part, but this sound is so Amazing
Yeah, Windows 2000 is released since 1999 and Windows ME is released since 2000 already. Why don't you inculde Windows 8?
After 7 years of this comment, there finally came a reply.
This video was old, release in Jan 2012.
There are two tadas in Windows 95.
Or so I think.
Nope. Just 1
me he dado cuenta que los sonidos de inicio y cierre de sesión se han vuelto mas cortos, quisas se debe a que los equipos cada vez son mas rápidos, por lo tanto, demoran menos en encender y apagar :D

Ah, back then when Microsoft was good.
longhorn,XP and windows7 best
You can!Old Windows beta versions are still able to download!
Windows 2000 - Feb 17, 2000
Windows ME - Sep 14, 2000
This is all done by their order of release date.
NO!Windows ME - June 20 2000
Wow never heard the Longhorn, thought that was what 7 is supposed to be.
Jesus, it's like a trip through time.
Back when I was in Pre School we had Windows 95.
Favorite windows for my family would be windows 95 we still have that all the way from 1995 but back then they cost 2,000 dollars we also have 98 and XP windows 7 and windows 8. I miss the 1990's.
NT5 has ROBLOX Tada sound
Roblox DEAD How old are you? And you play roblox? Also do you think Windows 95 was that much! Where do you get this stuff from. Windows 3.1 was ACTUALLY $99.99. Fucking son of a bitch.
i remember the windows 98 sounds, made me feel like i was using the best computer in the world. :D
The Windows 98 start up sound makes me fall asleep as well. :)
WindowsME sounds brings so much nostalgia. My first computer came with a WindowsME. :)
1:26 holy shit I never would have thought I would have heard that tune until today...uber nostalgia.
Windows NT 4.0 startup is awesome gave me goosebumps
Yes, it is. But Microsoft is the original owner for the "tada" sound.
I love my old windows xp home edition :)
cats cute me too
Starting on 5.0 era, all the wav like ding, chord, etc. has changed to a new different higher quality. So the tada from lone become wide feeling
Which OS are you talking about?
I think i download Windows 8, which means the best. By 3 things for Baldi's Basics.
The best PC for me is XP. Mainly because it was created in my year and its memorable. I miss the early 2000s D:
Ours was '95
:< I miss it so much now that I look back at it from now.
We used to have 98, XP, 7, and (somewhat) 8, but now we have Windows 10. Though I have a Chromebook, which is powered by Linux.
Windows 10 doesn't have any of this :-(
Jerky on
Video All Windows Sounds | Windows 1.0 - Windows 10
Well it has sounds and you can get the startup sound
The windows NT 5.0 shutdown sound is actually the Windows 2000 Beta 3 startup sound, and the real Windows NT 5.0 shutdown sound is the Widnows NT 4.0 shutdown sound. I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT.
The didn't cancel Longhorn. That was just Vista's codename until it was publicly released. Just like Windows XP was Whistler and 7 was Blackcomb and Vienna.
Hell almost all the recycle toons are the same.lo
When I heard Windws XP start up, nostalgia hit'd and hard.
The reason why I have Windows Vista/7 is because Windows Vista and 7 have the same sounds.
So I did include Windows 7.
Windows Server 2008 Windows Server 2008 R2 Windows Home Server and Windows Home Server 2011 too
Longhorn The Best!
Too bad they're fake
"shutdown 1" wasn't a thing in Windows 95. That shutdown "1" sound didn't appear until windows 98
The old days, longhorn was also used in vista beta. I wish I can go back in time back in those days
I have the Windows NT 4.0 startup sound as my startup sound for Windows 7. And the Tada-sound for shutting down windows. :)
Love that sounds!
Longhorn reminds me of Portal, oddly enough.
0:36 The logic is, Windows NT 4.0 shutdown. It is based on the startup wav that has been played reverse. If you put it to otaku test, my mind was thought about The Disappearing of Hatsune Miku. You'll surprise if you do the same.
these would make sick ringtones and notifications for a cell
No, they're not the same. Windows 2000 was aimed at businesses, and Windows ME was aimed at the home user. For this reason, one might have different software.
You Forget Windows 10
I remember purchasing a copy of Windows 95 last year for enjoyment of nostalgia, but sadly, I wanted to keep Windows XP on the desktop - the installation wasn't for virtual machines.
Dark Parodies in 2012: I also don't know the sounds for Whistler.
Dark Parodies in 2011: **uses the fake whistler startup and shutdown sounds**
Omg Windows 95 that is my childhood right there.
windows 2000 startup sounds like the best one. It isn't like 0:20 where it had that disturbing startup.
Microsoft Longhorn was the original beta of Windows Vista.
You were wrong about windows 5.0 shutdown it's the same as the shutdown for 4.0
My on is windows xp!
Moje ulubione systemy windows (dźwięki)

ye the sounds in this episode sound more clear then in the windows 8 and 10 video
windows xp startup sounds so welcoming.
Windows 98 login sound makes me feel old but 98 is extremely stable in fact I did a logic bomb on it locally using batch scripting and all the resources down to zero meaning no more ram free space etc and it still shutdown fine and booted up with no problems
@LellePrinter82 how do you change it to a different startup sound like NT!?
Why are the sounds so boring with windows 7 and windows 8? And man, is it a shame that the sounds in me, 2000 and the beta versions of vista aren't included with later operating systems! Those sounds sound very peaceful, relaxing, and nostalgic!
I had Windoes XP for, let's face it, too long, and I still haven't heard the Tada.
Never heard of Windows Longhorn either.
I have Windows 7, and I'm happy with it. But I might look into a new laptop if I ever get the money for it.
I really like Windows 98. it was my first OS :D
2:37 the best windows.
Yes, also 2000 was NT-Based, while ME being DOS-Based.
yup and most different from all windows sounds (including a singing mermaid-like startup/logon/logoff/shutdown :) )
Windows 2000 was released 7 months before Windows ME, as Dark Bowser himself says.
Да, я согласен с вами немного.
Ты русский
Windows 7 error sounds are similar to Windows XP but with more of an echo
yeah!, I also like Windows NT shutdown and 2000 startup along with Windows ME startup!
-sigh- The first time I used a computer was when I was in Kindergarten...and it was when Windows 98 was still here...
So why do you hate these sounds ?
They should have used longhorn sounds for windows 7
Longhorn sounds, also for Windows Vista beta.
Nah - Blackcomb was the first beta of Windows 7.
Longhorn sound are cool i don't know why but its like realy smoooooooth
Luke The Noob Windows XP's end of support is in 8/4/14

I can experience the windows 7 sounds everyday because I own one (I comment on a windows 7)
Нет, я использовал переводчика.
holy shit i remember all of these..
@MissyFlesky123

I think that he's talking about the Generic theme in Windows 98 Plus!.

Its just in the sound files
Why do you using windows then?
Best versions of Windows: Windows 98 and Windows XP
OK versions: Windows 95, Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and 5.0, Windows 2000 and Windows 7
Bad versions: Windows ME, Window Vista and Windows 8
95-98-2000/ME startup are the best!
There is Windows 95,98 and 2000 on Ebay
sorry for telling you if you already know though....
Don't know, but apparently Celine Dion sang the shutdown tune in it...
Vista and 7 had the “BFDI” tada sound
Kid, where do you think they got it from. That was in 2010 when Michael and Cary were KIDS. They probably couldn't think of anything else to put, it isn't a bfdi sound it was just used in bfdi.
He's probably talking about Longhorn.
Longhorn rocked :P
Maybe not, he might be using Mac OS, Linux or Ubuntu, or maybe even unpopular operating system families.
The ir_inter sound sounds like a fart
Except For the Longhorn Sounds
